Chapter 33 - The True Vampire Bride Ch 8 Part 3

Village Chief: "Yes, yes they are. Why are you asking about that?"

Kaida Endo: "Because we need at least two more of my nieces to come with us. I alone, am simply not enough to accomplish what needs to be done. I know you knew this may have been a possibility when me and Tsubasa left for our unwanted fate."

Village Chief: "Yes I always feared that you may have to return for something like that. I just did not expect it to be so soon. I am not sure how your siblings will take the news."

Botan Date: "I understand that this was not something you wanted to come about so soon. But you must understand, only one female to control them all is almost impossible. We must have the added help. Kaida did not even want to do this, but we are against a wall, so to speak."

Tsubasa Endo: "Trust me, Kaida agonized over it for almost a month before coming to a decision. It was not one she made on a whim, or just because she could. There were times I feared she would destroy her room trying to come to a decision."

Village Chief: "If that is what you need to do. Then I will have you guys go and visit your old home, it has been expanded to accommodate the growth of your family. One of your siblings managed to have a set of twins. Hopefully, you guys can get them to understand the urgency of the situation."

Kaida Endo: "I understand. Me and Tsubasa will head over and talk to them."

Getting up, Kaida and Tsubasa bowed and left the room as they headed toward their old home. It was indeed much larger than before. Taking their time to admire the outside, several of their siblings came out of the house. At least three of them with children in tow that were under the age of three. Tsubasa and Kaida were all smiles as they walked up to the house. Their siblings looked at them in minor shock. They had not aged a day since the last time they saw them. Already knowing that was the thought, they just smiled and shrugged their shoulders. Walking back in the house with them, they were shocked to see that their mother still lived. Rushing to her side, they gave their mother a big hug and nearly started crying. They feared they were never going to see her again when they left. But thankfully, fate has allowed them to see her one last time. After they spent some time with their mother, she fell asleep. They then spent the rest of the evening discussing the matter at hand with their siblings. The look of shock on their face slowly began to fade once they remembered their family's purpose. The look they shared said it all. They knew it was not something they wanted to do, but explaining that Kaida alone was not enough, they merely sighed in frustration for they knew the option was a bleak one. They remembered what their sister and brother had said when they left initially, "you never know when our family will be called upon, so we must be vigil".

After a long discussion with all their siblings, they had finally come to an obvious understanding of sorts. Reluctantly, their siblings agreed to the terms. They were at least satisfied in the knowledge that they would be taken care of. And understood the reasoning behind it. Trying to adjust to a way of life is way harder when you are older. This way, it will not be a strange thing if they grow up in the society. Plus, their siblings could help to take care of some of the new children as if they were their own as well. The loss would not be as hard. After all things were finalized, they went through the line of their nieces choosing the two that had the highest power potential. Tsubasa and Kaida took a child a piece in their arms and headed back towards the Chief's home. Walking inside with two of their nieces, the village chief seemed rather surprised. But said nothing more. He only sighed heavily as he knew some things could not be helped. Finalizing everything, they packed up the next morning as they made their farewells to everyone once again. Hugging their siblings tightly, they promised the absolute best of care for their children. Even telling them about the clinic in the city that she helped thrive with her knowledge of herbal medicine. Kaida was pleased to know that the village alchemist allowed one of her younger siblings to become Kaida's replacement. That relief alone was enough to set Kaida's mind at ease some. But for now, a ten-day trip awaited them as they prepped to return to the mansion. Waving goodbyes to everyone, they promised to send up more supplies in the months to come.

Climbing into the carriage, Kaida and Tsubasa sat down as the children were placed with the nanny that had been brought with them in a carriage just behind theirs. The lords all piled in and they were soon underway headed for that all too familiar gate. They spent the next ten days carefully making their way back to the mansion. Thanks to the help of the nanny and some minor suggestions from Botan, the children made the trip rather smoothly. Finally making it back to the mansion, they all went inside as the servants were ready and waiting with a drink for everyone. Seeing the two children, some of the servants tried to get riled up. Kaida turned with a flash in her eyes as she declared a definite statement.

Kaida Endo: "I will only say this once. These are my nieces, if any of you do any harm to them, either me or Tsubasa will turn you to ash where you stand. They will become pure bloods when they get older. So, any harm that befalls them, you will die."

Botan Date: "They come from the royal bloodline. How could you have forgotten that their line starts out human? It is a legend among our kind. When they get older, they will be the wives to us as well. Remember that well before you try to start up more discontent among the ranks."

Going quiet, all those who were whispering among themselves shut up immediately at their words. There was no reason to argue anymore if they came from the bloodline. And so, a new lifestyle was about to be untaken by Tsubasa and Kaida. Walking up to Tsubasa, Kaida simply leaned against him as she held one of the children in her arms. Nodding once more, they took the children to a room that was next door to Kaida. Giving it a once over, Kaida ordered some of the house servants to get a set of single beds ready for their use. Before too long, the entire bedroom had been transformed and split evenly for the two. Within days, they had everything needed. And so, their education into the proper upbringing of vampire society would begin to take place. Kaida and Tsubasa decided that their names were going to be Aya and Bai Endo from this day forward. This would help to make it easier on them. Thankfully, with Aya and Bai only being roughly three years old, it would make it easier for the customs change.

Tsubasa and Kaida at this point had finally stopped ignoring the vampire impulses concerning themselves. After all, it was not uncommon for pureblood vampires to marry their siblings. One could say with the way things are now, it is a harem situation. That is why they brought in their relatives. When they reach between fifteen and eighteen years old, they will be turned and become like their aunt and uncle. Botan was in his room, sitting in his favorite chair, he poured himself a glass, a devilish smirk crossed his face as he had succeeded in bringing more of their family to them. For now, three was a good start, but he knew they would have to wait ten to twelve years to turn them. Till then, they would be brought up with all the laws and customs that are known to vampires. The transition would not be as hard on them as it was for Kaida. Downing his glass, he climbed into bed to sleep, a self-satisfied smirk on his face.

Back in Tsubasa' s room, he had gone to sleep. But found himself once again, sleepwalking into Kaida's room. It had become such habit, that Kaida did not even stir, not to the sound of his walking or him talking. It was almost as though she could not stay asleep without him doing that. Walking up to her as she laid in her bed sleeping, he leaned in and picked a lock of her hair up. Smelling it deeply, he muttered out loud, "You are mine; I may have to share you with only one now, Botan most likely, but you are mine. Our race and culture demand this of us. We will make sure things stay set right and stop all those who make light of us. Though we may not rule this world, we will protect those under our care". This night, Tsubasa crawled into her bed and laid next to her on the top comforter. Without even realizing it, he fell into an even deeper sleep. This behavior on the part of Tsubasa became habit before too long. Aya and Bai had been adjusting surprisingly well, which made everyone happy. It was nice to know that at least that much on the stress factor could be relieved some for Kaida.
