Chapter 30 - Coming back

-Mirage Feast-

"Celia, you think he is coming back today? We are supposed to be leaving tomorrow morning... I'm getting worried." Little Kaya was sitting on a dining chair while holding a cup of tea with a worried look in her eyes.

"I'm sure the idiot is fine. Not much in the Cloud Forest that can harm him and considering his personality, he doesn't seem to be the type to get in over his head." Celia said with a slight pout though she hid her worries from the kids.

She couldn't help but wonder the past two nights whether who she called "the idiot" was okay or not. Though she would never admit to any of it.

"Pffft stinky bwutha" Little Sana joined in while making a face as though she wouldn't forgive him no matter what.

The other two smiled seeing the little Sana make such a cute angry face.

Claud who was passing by couldn't help but have a genuine smile appear on his wrinkled cheeks. Claud however, was secretly delighted the little barbarian as he liked to call Penta was in trouble.

"Now, now girls. Making such faces will ruin your beauty. Here have some snacks." Claud offered them some cake he had prepared earlier in the day.

"Thank you Uncle Claud!" Kaya thanked while Little Sana was already drooling at the sight of it.

"Sana!" Kaya spoke with a stern tone to which the little one looked up to Claud again and thanked.

"Thank yu wuncle Claud!" Little Sana said while holding a serious face as though the master of cake making should not be disrespected.

"Hahaha, enjoy. Don't you worry about little old me." Claud said again with smiles.

*BANG*

The Inn door was slammed open by a slightly tall pale-looking man who was wearing a luxurious white robe with gold trims. He seemed to give off an aura of strength as he walked in but his face slightly ruined the image of someone respectable.

Rather he had a slightly sleazy look to his face.

As he came in the faces of both Claud and Celia had dropped.

Celia stopped Claud immediately and whispered to him to go back to the kitchen.

"But!" Claud wanted to refute but he was met with a stern look from his daughter and understood he would be in the way. He couldn't help but look dejected.

He took Little Kaya and Sana with him as they made their way back.

"Celia!" The sleazy looking man hollered.

"Mister Kalway. A surprise to see you come to my humble Inn. Do you need anything?" Celia said in a matter of fact tone while hiding her displeasure at the fact this man entered her Inn.

"Hahaha! I've been looking for you for a while now! Is this how you treat a special customer? Come now get me a drink, won't you? I traveled quite a distance to find this place."

"Why, my apologies Mister Kalway. Right away, will ale do?" Celia replied while keeping her professional attitude.

"Your finest Ale then and Celia, call me by my name. We've known each other for so long haven't we." Kalway said while smiling a smile that looked more disgusting than a rat's.

"My apologies but how could someone of my background call a man of the Kalway family on such familiar terms." Celia continued to remain neutral but unfortunately, it lit the short-fused man's temper.

"It's Castello, Celia, and if I say you call me by my name. Feel honored and DO. IT." The man slowly enunciated the last two words which came off more as a threat than a reunion between friends.

"..."

The shed off cordiality the man was offering silenced the room ever so slightly before Castello himself noticed it and simply shrugged it off before looking around and giving a shout.

"Now, now, I didn't come here with ill intent so continue eating your meals people." He shouted.

"I, sigh, I understand Castello. Now, what did you come here for?" Celia finally relented as she didn't want her Inn members to have to suffer because of her unwillingness.

"Better and what? Can't I come to see you, my beautiful Celia? It's been a while and I haven't forgotten about you, you know? " Castello responded while smiling and sitting at a table near Celia while she poured him his Ale.

" Here you go, Castello." Celia offered the cup of Ale to Castello but he simply smiled a lewd smile.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer.

"Ahhh!" Celia screamed.

At thatt very moment Claud came bursting through the kitchen door while holding his trusty butcher knife and saw the scene of Castello pulling his daughter's wrist and he nearly popped a vein from the anger he felt.

"Oy! How dare you do that to my daughter you f*cking rascal!"

"Father! NO!"

"Oh this is your father, is it? Nice meeting you sir but as you can see, we have this situation under control. Celia was just saying she wanted to sit next to me and got a little too excited when I touched her wrist!" Castello barely tried to hide what he did and what he was after from his little visit.

"You see Celia, I just recently promoted and I'm going to become a first-grade Shaman very soon. You shouldn't worry about such minor things in my presence and just let me embrace you as I've always wanted." Castello said though his voice wasn't very hidden.

Celia heard it and got incredibly angry. She tried to pry her hand off from Castello's grip but it proved futile but all could see what was going on.

"Please let go Castello!" Celia said.

Castello was clearly here to take advantage of the poor Celia.

"If you don't dare let go, I will make you regret this boy!" Claud shouted as he noticed the bastard gripping his daughter in place.

"Hahaha, what do you even think you can do to me old man? Nothing! However, I don't like people threatening me!" Castello said before his face turned into a look of disdain as he pointed a finger towards Claud.

"NO! CASTELLO DON'T!" Celia shouted as she noticed Castello pointing at her father.

"Hahaha, too late. You should learn what restraint is called in front of me old man." Castello laughed with an evil grin before a black bolt of energy shot out of his hand.

Celia was in tears as she couldn't move and stop Castello at all as he used more strength to force her down.

"FATHER!" She screamed.

Claud wasn't prepared for an attack at this speed.

*ARRGHHHHHHHHH*

Claud's right leg was immediately pierced through by the bolt of black energy as Claud tried moving a little to the side.

A hole, a few centimeters wide, was clearly seen on his right leg near the knee while the floorboard behind him had shattered.

"NOOO!" Celia was crying in tears as she saw this and didn't know what to do.

As Claud's leg started bleeding heavily Kaya and little Sana rushed to Claud's side as they saw him start to bleed and Sasha came running over with a towel to put pressure on his leg.

"UNCLE!" "WUNCLE!" The girls shouted.

The scene happened so fast, the surprising part being Sasha's quick thinking but that was beside the point. Claud had a hole in his leg and Kaya and Sana were crying by his side as Sasha was applying pressure to his leg while staring deadly at Castello.

"You animal!" Sasha shouted with a fierce glare at Castello.

He simply scoffed at her before returning her attention to Celia.

"Now my little Celia, where were we?" Castello said while keeping his roaming eyes unchecked as he simply didn't care for the common people. Which clearly showed from his earlier actions.

The guests were frightened and Celia was in tears.

She looked at this man with who she had a history with. He was one of the principal offenders behind her leaving the Storm Tribe.

She was weak. She didn't have the same drive as the others or she thought but what really got her was the constant harassment from Castello and his lackeys. She was driven insane by their constant abusive treatment.

She was lucky as they were quite a bit more restrained in the Storm Tribe but she finally saw the true nature of this man who she avoided even back then.

He was scum. She knew it as an undeniable fact now.

She looked into his eyes and only saw lust and nothing else.

She knew she wasn't going to escape past this point. She looked back at her pained father who had been injured by the man and she couldn't help but cry even harder.

She was in pain.

She wanted power but she felt even stronger about wanting to be protected. She didn't want to suffer this injustice. She didn't want to have to handle all this by herself. She wanted safety. She wanted protection. More than anything she wanted to feel safe and enjoy life with her close ones.

She thought she had achieved it by leaving the Tribe and opening her Inn but she realized now that it was all but a dream.

The only thought that came to her mind was for something or someone to save her.

She wanted comfort. She wanted to feel safe again. She didn't want to take this all on her own.

She cried. She cried hard.

Yet only one person came to her mind when she had these thoughts. Her emotions were blurred. Her thoughts in disarray. She finally couldn't hold it in. The once strong girl finally crumbled.

"PENTA PLEASE SAVE ME! I NEED YOU, IDIOT!" She shouted with all her might.

"Oh poor Celia, No one is here to save you and especially not this thing you call Penta." Castello sniggered at her pathetic shout.

"Hahahahaha. It's just you and me and no one to stop us. Don't worry though my little pretty girl, I will definitely take good... very good care of you and your body," He started laughing in her face as his grip on her strengthened.

*BANG*

The Inn door was blown open. The sheer strength behind the push that opened it caused the door to shatter into tiny pieces.

"CELIA! KAYA! LITTLE SANA! I'M HOME!" Penta yelled as he walked in covered in sweat. His eye's glowing a piercing purple color that none before had seen, including the Inn's owners.

"Now, now, what do we have here?" Penta said as he looked around the dining hall with his piercing purple eyes.
