The group of six were heading back to the relay point.
In all fairness, Penta, Kaya, and Sana were to meet with Lynn and the old man to get a ride and get properly inducted into the tribe.
However, Penta felt bored with the idea and simply decided to get the trio consisting of Karu, Faren, and what Penta started calling the third, Grass.
To Griss this was a shamefully embarrassing name. However, he knew his strength and couldn't oppose Penta yet.
Without further delay, they set off after the goodbyes at the Inn.
Karu who was a ball of curiosity couldn't help but wonder what was to change with this man's, no, monster's arrival.
"Honorable brother, if I may be so bold to ask. What are your goals for entering the tribe?"
Penta was surprised at the question and even little Sana on his shoulders was curious.
"Goals you say. Hmm, good question. For now, it's finding out more about the place. Why don't you explain to me how it works there?" Penta replied while remaining carefree.
"ugh... you do know what a tribe is don't you?" Karu asked back after hearing his reply.
"Somewhat I guess, a place where guys like you go to train and achieve strength and knowledge no?"
"Well, technically yes. The big thing hidden under the surface is that such ability equates to land and those lands resources. Meaning it's ruled by the law of strength more so than order and all for resources."
Griss was surprised at Karu's point of view as he took a second look at this orphan who he bullied.
"Oh is it? No matter, I just need their knowledge and I'll be fine. I don't see why I have to worry if it's just that." Penta replied.
Karu was surprised at the answer. This guy...no, this honorable brother was not afraid at all of the obstacles in front of him.
The man was seeing the tribe as simply a library.
Penta knew better than anyone just how high his eyes were looking and his soul was pointing to.
Some may question why the need for revenge when a new life was given.
However, some souls just won't settle for less than what they are due.
Anyone who encroaches upon that receives their fury.
Penta was again reminded of just how he started his life here. The day he died and met that unhonorable piece of dung.
As they made they're way past the farms around the city and closer to the forest. Penta gave a look to the City and whispered. "I'll be back, my little city." He looked ahead at the distance from here to the relay point and immediately declared.
"You three! Go make a hand cart, large and sturdy too. Get to it!" Penta said as he smiled at them and set up a blanket for the two girls to sit.
"Oh, what's this?" Kaya asked as she noticed the simple blanket that was spread over the grass and Sana was already on it rolling over it.
"Well, leaving a place is always scary and so I wanted to have a little picnic while we wait for those three to finish," Penta said as he brought out some sandwiches Claud had prepared.
"Are you sure we should be eating these, they were meant to last the trip no?" Kaya asked curiously as she took one in her hand and handed another to the excited little Sana.
"Ah, don't worry about it, we should get there soon after the picnic," Penta said while staring off into the distance while munching his sandwich.
Kaya looked at him for a moment and just smiled while eating her sandwich. She was yet again happy to have such a brother come to her and her sister's rescue.
'That feeling at that moment was really different.'
Penta was thinking about how his eyes glowed purple and the rush of energy he felt when he saw what had happened to Claud and Celia.
He felt angry at seeing Claud injured with his little sisters crying and Celia hurting in tears. The rage had unlocked something in him like a gate opening. The glow was an effect of that gate being opened and not only that but the speed, he had been twice as fast as his usual speed. It shook him as he didn't believe it
'Luckily, I managed to contain myself from being lost in anger. Helps that I don't get mad too easily or maybe my past life desensitized me to it. Sigh, I gotta make sure to learn something useful at the tribe.
To get to rank one is but a step compared to getting to Ol'Ban's level.'
Penta snapped back when he noticed a potato sack wiggling nearby.
With yet another sigh, he karate chopped the bag into normalcy.
After the trio finished the hand cart. They also sat down and had a meal. The trio really did not complain and was just waiting. As once they arrive at the Tribe they will be released from this demon.
As the cart had been finalized and Penta tested its strength.
He grinned a wicked smile.
"Girls, hop on and you three figure out a way to handle the wind, and don't you dare let them get harmed or I will have you," Penta whispered that last part but it sent chills to the three.
They all couldn't help but start wondering.
'What in the nine skies and hells do you mean " I will have you!?" what vague yet scary words. Is it our lives, ouds heads, or ... our bodies?'
The trio immediately shook themselves out of that nightmarish thought and hopped on the cart and made a perimeter around the girls and decided they will do their utmost to not see even a particle of dust near these girls.
"Are you going to be alright pulling all of us?" Kaya asked worried while holding onto little Sana who looked at the situation curiously.
"Haha, didn't I already tell you? Your honorable brother is strong! Now hold tight!" Penta yelled before taking his upper shirt off and flexing his muscles while grabbing the handles of the cart.
Everyone had gulped except for little Sana when they saw his back muscles. The proportions and density looked abnormal.
Had Celia and Sasha been here, they could have seen a nice view. How unfortunate for them Kaya thought.
As he was quiet for a moment, the trio immediately brought out air from around them to congeal an air barrier. They could still do something of these standards even without the affinity as they knew control over basic barriers and particles surrounding them.
They were proven right to act quickly as Penta started running right after and sent shockwaves through the ground.
Their speed quickly reached high velocity.
"BWUTHA AMAZING!" Little Sana could not help but get excited with sparkling eyes as she saw the world before her rush by at a blinding speed.
The forest trees and even odd beast or two were just zooming by as Penta ran.
Kaya was shocked into silence as she saw the same scene and felt the world go by her.
The trio had already experienced something like this so they were more prepared but it still shocks a person when someone turns into a human beast when running.
While technically, Penta was human but also the roach emperor.
One of unknown origins to most of Valor.
A true blue Agaran Emperor Beast.
The trip barely took time as they arrived within the hour. Penta was a lot faster considering he didn't carry more than just five people this time.
The cart, however, was quite destroyed after having arrived. Penta had to use some of his energy to keep the thing together towards the end.
"Little Kaya and Little Sana, you two stay close to me alright? That way nobody will bully you two." Penta said while holding his hands out while still shirtless as he did sweat a little from the run.
"Yes, brother." "Yes, Bwutha."
Penta looked down at Kaya as it was the first time she did not call him honorable brother. She looked away with silence and red ears but Penta just smiled. It seems the little teenage sister finally warmed up to him.
He didn't mind. He saved them because he wanted to somehow experience something special with this life while aiming for the skies.
A family is hard to have sometimes.
As they walked into the Relay point, you could see a bustling of activity.
A lot of faces looking around and surprised and others calmly shopping. The relay point seemed to have come alive.
"What's going on here?" Penta asked Karu the little bucket of knowledge.
"It's recruitment time so they bring back people from different cities, the borders, and farms. Hence, the new blood but I don't think you need to worry about it too much. Let's get to the relay port and we can set off for the tribe."
"How does the relay port work exactly?" Penta asked curiously as he hoped to his emperor self it was fast travel.
"Oh, it must be your first time right. The port works as a harbor for sky beast that can bring us to our destination." Karu explained.
"Oho, sky beast? I thought there would be ships, do you guys have those too?" Oh those, yeah they are pretty cool. The upper echelon of the tribe have but it's only for themselves. And since our tribe is located close to dangerous beasts, we have an alternative that works."
Penta just nodded along while making their way to the port.
It actually took longer than he thought as they walked for a while and finally reached a clearing larger than the relay point and you could see winged beasts that looked like mixes and variations of winged creatures of all size.
Some large beasts looked like a panther with four ape arms and a hawk face and wings.
Penta couldn't help but spiral down that deep hole of cross-breeding that might have occurred here. He shook himself out of it shortly as he couldn't stop thinking about this.
The girls were a little afraid but once Penta held their hands, they relaxed and followed along.
Faren went and rented a large griffin like creature that simply had a distinctive blue color streak through its body.
'Fantasy worlds and their f*cking pets, so jealous.' Penta mused as he hopped on the beast with the rest.
Nobody asked any questions about the trio bringing people back, as Griss and Faren had some reputation in the Storm tribe due to their families.
However, they did look at Penta with disdain due to how country bumpkin like he appeared to be. Kaya noticed a few stairs and curled in but Penta caught it immediately.
He softly said. "Hey, Kaya. I want to teach you something okay?"
She looked up and just nodded at him.
"Those people around us that may give a stare with bad eyes or say rude things. They are just upset with something themselves so they use this to come after others. You are part of my family and so is Sana, you two should hold you head high as to not let our family down.
We are going to the storm tribe to learn and grow, not to waste time and get bullied. Anyways, anyone who tries harming my cute little sisters can expect me to have them."
The trio shivered again while yelling internally.
'WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY THAT!?'
Kaya looked up at her brother again and she truly did not know what they did to deserve such a good brother but she knew she couldn't let him down and have him worrying all the time about her.
She returned his gaze with firmness unfamiliar to him. She also looked at those who stared before with a look of pride.
They stared back harder which made her freak out.
Penta held his laughter and reassured her that anything worth having was never had in one day.
They smiled and enjoyed the beautiful view as they left for the skies after a final karate chop to a potato sack.
