The short walk to the office was a rather nice touch to Penta.
The simplicity of having a way to find food while gaining knowledge is great.
Penta dropped the two he was carrying and went along with Karu to get himself a quest.
"What do we do?"
"See that guy, go be nice and get him to give you something for beasts under grade one."
"You seem to be in your element in this place." Penta made a funny face before walking ahead of Karu who was mildly smiling.
Penta walked up to a middle-aged man while smiling. He asked for a task for beasts at his level and the man barely looking at Penta just handed over a sheet of paper.
Penta turned back and didn't even look at the task and walked back.
The middle-aged office employee was surprised and turned mildly angry.
"You idiot! Bring that back. That was for you to leave your stamp on!" He hollered.
Penta looked confused for a second before asking.
"The hell you mean idiot!? Also, how do I do that?"
"You! You are the idiot not knowing how to something so simple! You should just dig a grave and stamp yourself out!"
Karu interjected.
"You use your thumb and energy to stamp..."
Penta looked at everyone in the small office and blushed a furious purple that no one could see.
After a short exchange with the office worker they left and gathered in a circle outside. Still very visible from the office.
"Alright, guys let's see what it is." Penta declared as he looked at the task.
" ~ WEST GATE FIELDS ~
STAMPEDE OF BOARS IN HAYAK VILLAGE
STOP IT & INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE"
"Wait! Weren't we staying here to eat and go learn?" Kaya asked looking at those lines in shock."
The little Sana was giggling. She loved how somehow even what goes planned goes wrong around her brother. She was having the time of her life and was just going with the flow.
"Karu... what happened that you got that kind of task?" Griss asked with a nerve almost popping. Where was his food? Where was his justice?
Karu couldn't even look Griss in the eyes. He had failed miserably for having not taught Penta the thumbprint due to his arrogance.
Faren was looking like this was unrelated to him. He was in the Tribe again and he could do his own thing. However, he still played the part in order to get away safely with all limbs.
"What are you all doing looking all down like that!?" Penta's empty speech was replaced with a gurgling stomach.
"Let's get a move on! Where is the closest restaurant!" Penta suddenly shouted.
Griss who was just thinking of such places chimed in timely.
"I know a place." His body already acted as he spoke. Penta immediately tagged along with his sisters.
"... whose paying for this...?" Faren suddenly looked exasperated as he realized what was going to happen.
Karu just smiled at Faren's misfortune before chasing after Penta who does still offer a protective sphere around Griss and Faren.
"Hurry up before I make Griss force you!" Penta shouted back at the slow duo.
Griss just looked back almost in sync with Penta and stared the two down as though prey due to his hunger.
While they were jogging. Kaya couldn't help but smile while running along her brother who was carrying little Sana. "Brother! Do you miss Celia?"
Penta looked to the side surprised before grinning.
"You think you getting involved like that between me and Celia goes unnoticed?" Penta shot back still grinning and give a knowing look.
"S-sShut up! I was just missing her! She complains about how bad you are too!" Kaya actually retorted and defended herself while jabbing Penta.
Penta suddenly stopped in front of Kaya while still smoothly holding the completely carefree Sana who was spectating. His face was deadpan straight.
"Who has corrupted you, my dear sister? Was it Celia!? When have you started hurting your brother like that?"
The shock was too apparent. Kaya instinctively apologized. "S-sorry..."
"HAHAHA, silly little girl. You may be older than me but you shall not defeat my genius!" He went back to grinning and shot off while sticking out his tongue.
Kaya at that moment with a flashback from Celia realized what had transpired.
-Flash-
"Kaya you listen here little one. Boys and Men. Regardless. Especially, and I mean especially people like Penta are what normal people call. Raw trouble." Celia stood over Kaya while combing her hair.
"Do you mean they are all bad?" Kaya asked worriedly.
Celia simply smiled.
"No dear, they are what we call raw trouble because regardless of whether they are good or bad. They make trouble. They just make a lot of god damn irritating trouble sometimes."
-Back-
"He just made me feel guilty!? MEANIE!" She yelled the last part before running after the rest.
Griss had made headway and arrived at a corner.
He stopped and waited for the rest before calmly breathing and responding.
"Please I know you are arrogantly strong but I demand you show respect in such establishments!"
Penta opened his eyes wide.
Karu and Faren thought in sync. ' That was...wow brave Griss.'
"He's not bad!" Sana defended him.
"Yeah!"
Penta looked at the two while Kaya simply thought of how true that Penta is trouble.
However, to Griss he simply looked at while grinning.
Griss regretted saying that.
As they continued their walk they approached a beautiful gemstone encrusted arch used as an entrance.
This only showed one thing. Power.
Penta stared before asking.
"Wouldn't people steal these?"
"Please don't say such a thing. This a place that caters to the rich and by consequence the strong. We don't take this place lightly." Karu replied trying to make up for his earlier fumble.
"Oh? Little ones, you hear that? This is a place for rich and strong people and we get to eat there too today!" Penta said as he squatted near them.
The two girls' eyes immediately lit up.
This was the first time they were going to such a luxurious place. Sana was already imagining various foods.
However, there was one she looked up to that had almost literally increased his brain capacity from the different number of dishes he pictured at once.
Griss and Faren looked as though they frequented the place as they entered while Karu remained vigilant of the people that were around.
'Good kid staying focused.' Penta thought before the smell enraptured him. The girls also smelled it and got more excited.
The attendant inside looked at Griss and noticing the robes markings smiled professionally before asking how many people.
"Six."
"Right this way, sir." He replied.
As Penta and the girls entered after they started walking behind the trio as they looked around.
"Hey Griss! Tell him to start delivering the dishes." Penta hollered ahead of him.
Some of the more relaxed people were dining around circular tables lined in silk with thin and seethrough drapes hanging about.
'Feels exotic...' Penta mused while Griss popped a vein from the order yet endured as at least he wasn't called "Grass".
They were shown to a table and the attendant was about to hand them their menu's but Penta simply stared very hard at the trio.
"..." They all shivered for a second at that look.
"T-these won't be necessary..." Griss who was sweating bullets managed to choke out.
"Brother...no grandfather Griss please do not do t-this..." Faren felt as though he lost his soul.
Karu's eyes suddenly started shining and realized how to complete the sentence.
"We will be taking everything on the menu!" Karu had passion and pride coming out of his voice for but a moment before Griss and Faren's sadness reached him via their unnatural link. They just stared down while feeling the pressure of what was about to come.
"A-are you sure young masters...?" The attendant asked to make sure but Penta cut in.
"Yes, thank you. We are very...very hungry." Penta smiled through his teeth.
The girls had an explosion in their minds.
The trio had an explosion in their wallets.
With the vibrant eyes shown off by Penta, the clerk leaves in a hurry. This was a big order and he couldn't deal with these people.
"Anyways brother are you sure what we did to Castello okay? We are going to have some trouble." Kaya initiated as she suddenly remembered what happened.
They had just arrived and already went looking at the Disciplinary Hall.
Karu had been quite the guide and brought them along to the Disciplinary Hall. Penta legitimately brought a potato sack into the Hall holding the son of a very vengefully family.
Griss and Faren were a little less worried as Castello didn't even know them. Karu never noticed this and took it personally as though he did it.
Penta had simply smiled the whole time and finally dropped the sack in front of a disciplinary hall apprentice. He looked to be in his twenties and was rather calm seeing their entire entrance and arrival.
"Hey, big bro. I brought a criminal to be judged by the hall." Penta had said nonchalantly.
"Who is the criminal?" The man asked.
"A guy who attacked a civilian using his advanced apprentice strength in a city managed by City Lord Crown, he also attempted to" *Penta moved in closer*
Having had seen Penta whispering at an inaudible level bothered the rest but they had suddenly seen the hall representative give a look of contempt at the bag on the floor.
"He shall be judged accordingly. You have my Flag Ofcross & the Disciplinary Hall's words." Flag had suddenly declared as the whispering ended.
Kaya was curiously looking at Penta to see his response as from what she heard from Celia, Castello is bad news.
" Haha, that Flag guy was so cool. You guys saw that too eh? He just grabbed the guy and walked away. Here I had some incriminating evidence and no one to show it to." Penta laughed.
The trio suddenly looked at him shocked as to where he could have gotten such evidence. They were there after all.
A slightly chubby but gorgeous girl walked over wearing a pink robe with red embroideries.
"Hello fellow apprentices, I will be your waitress tonight. The food shall be arriving shortly." She said before she saw the cute Sana and immediately pounced on her. This almost prompted Penta to take action but there was no ill intent as even Sana wasn't afraid.
They saw her pick her up and shout how cute she was before quickly calming down and sitting in Sana's seat with Sana in her lap confusing Kaya and the Trio. Penta however, was very alert.
"You seem very distrustful fellow apprentice." She smiled at Penta and said.
Just then suddenly the chef walked over and saw the table of now 7 and had a mean face on.
"You kids serious about everything on the Menu? Look don't mess around either you don't have the money or you do but if I so much as see a single leftover. I will hunt you down myself and force-feed you shit for wasting my time and ingredients!" The pressure from the Chef was very much physical.
Penta immediately noticed it and understood. First-grade shaman. What surprised him, even more, was that it was a chef.
Penta slammed his hands on the table disrupting the area around his table of the pressure before standing up and looking at the chef in the eyes.
"You will have my respect if you can even fill me up." Penta had spat out with conviction, one that ran through his very being.
The challenge was outrageous!
The waitress and the attendant were shaken.
Before they even got to say anything the chef grunted and started walking back.
"Just wait, you will bow to my cooking."
Seeing this the waitress was even more shocked. No one ever messed with the chef. He wasn't just a nobody but a freak level strong Elder of the tribe.
"You shouldn't have challenged him if you think you aren't sure of yourself. He is one of the most respected Elders of the Tribe." She said after gulping in a breath.
"Who is that?" Penta asked curiously.
"CHEF OKARI OF STRINGS! PENTA ARE YOU CRAZY! WE TOLD YOU TO BE RESPECTFUL HERE!" Surprisingly it was Karu, Griss, and Faren who shouted at that question.
"..."
