As the Griffon like creature flew along.
Penta, Kaya, and Sana got another fresh view of the sky.
"Hey, so what part of the tribe are you three in?" Penta asked as he munched on some dried meat.
" The Alchemy department in the Nature Hall," Karu answered with a smile.
"Healing department in the Recovery Hall." Faren continued.
When Penta looked at Griss, Griss simply ignored him as they were returning to the Tribe so he started feeling less fear going against Penta.
"It seems Griss, that you take your honorable brother's question as though air," Penta said with a very calm tone.
Griss panicked for a quick second before calming down and continuing to ignore him.
"Kaya, Sana, forgive your brother but he has to discipline a delinquent."
They just stared at him curiously as they saw him grab a rope out of his bag and suddenly tie it into a noose.
They were shocked and Karu and Faren immediately started sweating but as Griss was still ignoring everything thinking he had won.
Penta suddenly put it over his waist and secured it quickly.
"What? Wait!" Griss was confused as he noticed the rope around his waist before he could do anything.
"You should listen to your honorable brother. It's mean to ignore me you know?" Penta said with a pout that looked nothing but ugly except to Kaya and Sana who started laughing.
"Take this off me right now!" Griss hollered but before he even got to finish, Penta threw him over the griffin.
"ARHHHHHHHHH" Griss scream full of fear as he fell a good few meters before the cord kept him from falling.
The griffin freaked out for a second thinking someone fell but when it saw Griss hanging from a cord. It looked up to the other end of that cord and just saw Penta standing with the cord in hand and laughing while looking at Griss.
Penta noticed the stare and returned a look to the griffin.
The griffin for some reason felt a chill in its instincts as though this wasn't a creature that was human, it was much more dangerous. It looked forward and ignored everything that happened and started flying much faster.
Unfortunately, Griss got the bad end of that deal. As the Griffin sped up he was hit with more wind as he hung from the rope.
"You ready to say sorry now!?" Penta yelled at the barely hanging on Griss.
"OH MY DEAR LORD, I"M SORRRY! I'M SO SORRY JUST LET ME BACK ON!" Griss was yelling his lungs out to make sure Penta hears him. He was actually scared of falling off and falling out of the sky. Being subjected to this while flying, and especially at the speed a frightened griffin flies. Griss broke down very quickly.
"Okay apology accepted but you have to call me honorable brother or I won't pull you back up." Penta smiled mischievously as Kaya, Sana, Faren, and Karu looked at him from the back and shook their heads.
"HONORABLE BROTHER PLEASE PULL ME BACK UP! PLEASE!" Griss was almost crying and Penta didn't want to take it too far even though he was laughing his emperor rear off.
"Good! See that wasn't so hard!" Penta tapped on Griss's shoulder as he commented but Griss was just holding himself while shivering from the sudden near-death experience.
The journey continued with a lot more cohesiveness as Penta would describe.
"So Griss what department you in?" Penta continued where they let off.
"H-honorable brother, I am in the combat Hall."
With a better understanding, Penta was excited to get to the Tribe and start his daily life of gaining knowledge. After all, knowledge is power anywhere.
"What department you plan on joining little Kaya?" Penta asked as he was curious.
She replied rather quickly.
"I have affinity with plants so I was thinking of working in the nature hall with their medicinal plants."
"Oh good choice, plant affinity is the best for those working in the medicine fields." Karu supported Kaya's decision and was happy as now he could get brownie points from Penta by watching out for his little sister.
"What about you brother?" Kaya asked.
Penta who was messing around with little Sana was thoughtful.
"I am not sure yet, I have to go see what are the different options that are available thoroughly before I make a decision."
"You're not joining the combat hall?" Griss was surprised and spoke out while secretly reprimanding himself inside for getting curious about this demon.
"Yeah, I thought you would be a shoe-in for the combat hall considering your skills," Faren added.
"Yeah, combat is fun and all but I am going to need more than just my physical abilities if I want to climb up in this world," Penta said nonchalantly.
Griss, Faren, and Karu were surprised at the level-headedness this honorable brother showed.
"Oh look, you can see the Tribe mountain." Karu pointed out which got Penta, Kaya, and Sana to go to the front in a rush.
Before their eyes lay a mountain that looked to be cut in exact half vertically.
On the cut outside, you could see buildings upon buildings that were built, to the east was a large building giving off an aged look.
The South contained fields upon fields that had people going to and from several buildings and people taking care of the plants. Though they looked like ants to most.
The west had a large number of residences that reached the thousands.
What lay north of the center of all this was a luxurious building of a palace-like size. Behind it stood the mountain that was cut in half with caves every now and then.
Though the closer they got, the larger this mountain seemed and they finally noticed that it was actually reaching into the clouds and stormy noises were heard.
"What's that?" Kaya asked pointing at the peak of the cut mountain."
"Oh that, it's where the core disciples and elders reside for their training in the Storm arts. Not all practice it but most of the core elders and disciples are training in the Storm arts."
"Oh, how interesting." Penta couldn't help but think of all the novels he read and this place seemed to emphasize quite the variety of professions.
This also means this world must house quite the different set of techniques and knowledge.
Penta couldn't help but get a little excited at the prospect of learning cool new skills and soaring to higher heights.
This topic was always something he loved to think about. How if Earth had a way to achieve greater power for the individual without just money.
However, he was living it now and he started recollecting every piece of novel information he could remember from skills, ideas, genres, plot twists, and theories.
As Penta was lost in his thoughts of the variety of ways he could go about this new life, they landed at a ranch like building that housed several more winged creatures of all different types.
"Oh, we're here already? Ha, that wasn't such a bad ride. How did you two like it?" Penta asked his sisters.
"AMAZING!" Little Sana replied all excitedly as she hadn't had this sort of experience of flying through the skies ever. It was an impressionable moment for a little girl.
Kaya was the same but a bit more reserved due to age. She simply replied with a smile and said it was fun.
"Haha, don't get too excited just from this. Just wait, after we settle down a bit more here, I'll get you two your very own flying beast. Haha!" Penta bragged.
"REALLY?" Both girls got excited when they heard that but Kaya realizing her loss of composure tried to hide it again quickly.
"Hahaha, of course. How else would I be the great honorable brother?" He smiled.
"Haha, look at this guy thinking he can get a flying beast so easily. Hey cousin Faren, who is this bragging about owning a flying mount." A stable keeper around 16 years of age started laughing while questioning Faren who he knew.
"Oh, if it ain't Miter." Faren looked at him before giving him a dead stare and looking back at Penta.
"Honorable brother, this is just a young cousin of mine so please don't take his words too harshly. I'll reprimand him well later." Faren said but secretly was happy that he was mocked. Faren still wasn't over his grudge and was going to find a way to settle it.
"Ah no matter, let's get going. I got to find disciplinary elders. You guys have those right?" Penta said while hoisting a human-size potato sack on his head.
"Ah, right! However, honorable brother, you have to register first. I think I know where the new students will be arriving for the welcoming ceremony and you definitely can't miss that as you get your identity card from the tribe there." Karu started rattling off while Penta's mood turned slightly sour at having to still attend that ceremony but he figured he might as well get it over with.
-Meanwhile in a not so far away place-
"I can't believe that person didn't show up, does he even know what he is missing out on!?" Lynn the beautiful azure haired girl from the testing of the City of Mirages was blowing her fuse.
Clay the metal affinity user and a few others from the testing site were watching her talk the middle-aged man who had brought them over on his giant wildebeest, he was a little disappointed too but he couldn't give too much attention to just an apprentice even if he was a rare talent. There will always be talents and those not a part of a tribe suffer much more to gather and train to the higher realms.
"It's fine, maybe he forgot or will find another way here. You shouldn't worry too much. People like those always have a path of their own." Elder Kazen replied to Lynn.
"I guess you are right Elder Kazen but it's just a little sad that the Storm Tribe won't be getting such a genius recruit though I can't complain as we do have a few decent ones and one with the metal affinity too." Lynn tried comforting herself.
Just then a loud screech was heard and everyone that was in attendance saw a large eagle descend with another elder on its back and another two flying beasts descend as well.
"Oh, t seems the other three have arrived." Fazen looked at them descending and noticed each had a special student next to them. It slightly annoyed Fazen as he would have had a pure genius with them as well if the idiot had shown up. They even waited an extra hour only for nobody to show.
"Oh, Fazen! Seems you got here quite early. How was the recruitment on your end? I just got to say this time I got quite lucky. This here is Kilian Vendes a top fire affinity student" A woman with fiery hair spoke out while next to her was a young man with some scars on his arms.
"Natasha it went well on our end, I'm glad you all made it back safe, I have here Clay a surprisingly rare metal affinity holder, " Fazen said with some pride.
"Metal? Ain't that a rare one. Well nonetheless, I got here what is probably our Nature Halls's core disciple. Tully Lass, an exceptional Plant affinity user. " A man with broad shoulders and large build shouted as he landed as well with him a small girl with green hair and glasses.
"Oh, Laurence it seems you did get a good one. Now I wonder what the ever brooding Scope Evermore brought along?" Natasha said jokingly to which she just got a stare from Elder Scope.
"Cynthia Flurose, high lightning, and low water affinity." Elder Scope was as quiet as Elder Natasha had mentioned.
"Oh, it seems the Tribe chief and Hall Masters are arriving." Fazen pointed out as he felt the oncoming people.
"Gather up you lot, we are about to meet the Tribe Chief and Hall masters. Be on your best behavior you hear!" Laurence made his voice clear before the arrival of the leaders.
As the Tribe chief and Hall Master's appeared on a slightly elevated platform from the gathering of the new apprentices. A loud voice was heard coming from the south.
"WAIT! WE ARE COMING!"
Just as everyone looked in the direction of the yell. A group of six individuals was rushing over with one of them carrying two girls, one in each arm.
