-Rewind 30 Minutes-
Faren was lying on top of a giant beast pile and feeling slightly nauseous.
Sitting next to him was Karu with eyes sparkling like flames while the final member of the trio was meditating.
Griss closed his eyes simply to abstain from witnessing what's happening. He couldn't believe himself when he recalled being thrown onto of a pile of meat and moving at a ridiculous speed.
The sheer weight of all these items and moving at this speed only indicates strength. Pure strength. Griss realized he might have met a very powerful individual.
While Griss was being solemn. Karu was turning into an idiot.
His eyes were darting left and ride and every now and then he would find himself looking beneath himself and shake in astonishment.
What Karu realized is that he found a true blue peak apprentice that made him call him honorable brother.
Though Karu at first believed it was his title, he now treated it as though they were brothers. He didn't want to stay so weak and here there was someone doing something no one would ever consider normal unless they were a peak apprentice and a strong one too.
"Honorable brother!"
Penta running like mad underneath with eyes flowing full of Claud's cooking shouted back.
"What da ya want!?"
"How are you so strong?" Karu asked and at this moment the quiet Faren and Griss both stared at Karu and then perked their ears without being obvious.
"Oh that? Suffered in a pit for a few months." Penta said while ignoring them and charging even faster when he remembered the food again.
Faren looked at the other two before speaking up.
"He was suffering in a pit?"
"Faren, don't talk so loud. Imagine what kind of pit creates a monster like this?" Karu whispered.
"Oy both of you shut it. Just stay quiet. We are technically being kidnapped." Griss said while giving a dark look at the other two.
Although internally he was screaming.
'Who in the bloody flames is this freak!? I've never heard of anyone that looked like him and even worse, what the hell is with his title. I should plot an escape.'
"Oy porters, I'm not paying attention but anyone who jumps off gets another educational lesson from his fellow porters. Now hold on tight were almost there its the city."
Penta was rushing so fast while the trio on top of the pile was lost in thought, arrived at the city.
"Oh my city, I missed you, baby," Penta shouted just loud enough that one of the common guards Mathias heard it.
"Serge! Look at this guy!" Mathias said as his hands dropped to his sides while staring wide-eyed.
Serge looked over and dropped his spear and his jaw.
"You guys miss me!?" Penta screamed and the trip finally snapped out of their thoughts and noticed they arrived so fast.
Penta dropped the beasts and the trio before waving at Mathias and Serge from a short distance.
"You hunted all this with your team?" Mathias spoke first.
"The hell you mean team? These are my porters, I hunted these." Penta said with a questioning look.
"Oy porters, admit it!" Penta looked back and shouted.
"It's true!" Karu immediately gave away all leeway that Faren was going to use to get leverage with a silent negotiation.
"Wow kid, no wonder you got the black card," Serge said while finally regaining consciousness.
Griss and Faren picked up on those words very quickly while Karu took a while.
Their thoughts were storming when they realized what stage this guy was at and he wasn't even in yet...
"Anyways you two, invite all our friends. Big party tonight before we leave hahahaha!" Penta said before getting the porters to do their work and walked into the city with the loot.
"Serge, I might have to leave my post," Mathias whispered as he looked at the food Penta was bringing in. They knew the kid. He always made sure his beast meat was over before the next day.
"Mathias, I'm going to go call our shift replacements. " Serge said while drooling.
"Like I would trust you. Finish your shift before moving an inch!" Mathias said as he gulped before taking all his willpower and looking away.
"Where are we headed now?" Karu said while happily following along Penta.
Even Penta noticed the switch in their temperament in front of him. Guess carrying them over made them realize a not so well kept secret.
Though Penta didn't mind. He knew there were higher places to get so everyone must come to terms with this.
As they approached the Inn while getting all the stares of the city and forcing Karu and Faren to start advertising that a big party was happening and everyone who loves eating should come.
Griss stayed quiet and died of embarrassment which made Penta start laughing like a mule.
"PENTA PLEASE SAVE ME! I NEED YOU, IDIOT!"
Everyone outside the Inn heard it and so did Penta.
Penta standing outside the door suddenly tensed up.
The trio noticed the change in the atmosphere.
"CELIA! KAYA! LITTLE SANA! I'M HOME!"
Penta walked up to the Inn door and pushed it open. The very moment he stepped in he saw Claud on the floor near the kitchen and his two little sisters crying with Sasha tending to his leg.
That moment was all it took for something much more primal to awaken within Penta.
His eyes glowed purple and an aura started leaking out of his very body.
He looked over Claud and his sisters before turning his head and looking over at a sleazy looking man holding Celia by the wrist. Celia herself was on her knees and crying into one hand while looking at him so very pitifully.
"Well, well what do we have here?" Penta said in a much colder tone.
"Penta!" BROTHER! BWUTHA!" The girls finally saw hope and even Claud smiled a little seeing him at that moment.
They were all afraid the moment he came in with blazing eyes but then they knew it was him that should be here.
"So this ant is the one you called out to Celia? Haha, pathetic." Castello freaked out a little when heard this yelling and the initial glowing eyes from this guy but regained his calm when he remembered where he was at now.
He started emitting his peak apprentice-level strength.
Penta seeing said only three words while staring at this man's arm holding Celia's.
"Let. Her. Go."
"..."
"Hahaha! You think. .w.g.... aers... ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!
*SNAP*
This familiar sound rang again in the Inn. However, what everyone saw was a blur. Except for Castello.
He saw it vividly Penta moved at a ridiculous speed with those glowing purple eyes coming closer and closer ever so slowly yet in an instant.
He grabbed his wrist and his elbow and they were immediately crushed while he was mid-sentence. Suddenly, those eyes seemed to have much more presence.
Castello felt scared. He felt fear again after so long.
The only time he saw this fear was against true Shamans and never a pathetic apprentice. Not even when he was advanced grade.
He was so afraid as he screamed.
Penta looked at Castello screaming before gently grabbing Celia and picking her up and bringing her to her father's side with the rest.
This moment the trio came barging in and witness something they couldn't believe.
Castello Kalway was screaming in pain while Penta picked up a crying girl.
He had been in there for only a minute and they had only heard that familiar sound and thought he was beating someone with the stick.
They had never realized he would have someone of Castello's pedigree get a broken arm with one move.
They weren't that big of idiots as only one sound was made after the talking and it was a snap.
While they were taken aback in shock and amazement.
"Celia, your ex?" Penta looked at her as he carried her towards her father.
"What? Never!" She got angry he would even consider that while she kind of pouted but did not say anything while he suddenly carried her.
"Haha, good." He replied.
He dropped her right by her father and spoke.
"Little ones, Sasha, my bearded old man. I brought quite a bit of meat and apparently I also brought Celia back haha. So I'm going to need you all to get in better shape because I just invited the whole City for a party. I'll take care of this." He winked at the little one's while showing a grumpy look at Claud and his leg.
"What the F*ck was that look you little shit!?" Claud immediately started cursing forgetting the kids and the situation.
"You should take care of yourself better old man! Poking holes in yourself like that. Wow" Penta said as he turned around and started walking back.
"THIS WASN"T ME YOU IDIOT!" Claud lost his temper while Celia started laughing. She laughed at how this man still had the nerve to say those things to her injured father.
Her laugh calmed the other two crying girls Kaya and Sana while Sasha realized why Celia laughed.
'This guy really does make you think, everything will be taken care of suddenly.'
As Penta was walking back to a Castello that was finally regaining some control over his body. His body wasn't what was strengthened but rather his spells but even then a Peak apprentice has a true blue strong body. Penta's body strength was just ever so absurd.
"Porters, fix his leg or lose one." The trio noticed he was talking to them and realized his tone was ever so different as though this wasn't a joke.
They realized all together at that moment, this old man's leg was worth the cost of their own and then they looked at each other before sprinting to Claud's leg and taking things out of their pouches to see what to do.
When the girls noticed this they realized he brought back some strangers who seemed to be his...porters but Celia noticed Griss and Faren's family symbols on the design of their trims and was surprised.
"Now, now. I'm sorry about your arm but you see that was the chef for tonight's party and his daughter who was the Innkeeper.
Unfortunately, you might have ruined the best cook in the City's ability to cook tonight, This requires quite the compensation and the entire City is expecting him to be in tip-top shape for this event.
As you can see, if you can't make that happen in the next hour I will break your arm and claim compensation from your elders." Penta said as he looked dead-eyed into Castello's without expression.
"MY FAMILY WILL DESTROY YOU" Castello lost his mind with his pride and someone tarnishing his family. If they ever found him not defending them, he would be in a world of pain but at least so would his enemies.
"Sigh. Guess you won't be joining our party. Unfortunate. I don't like making enemies but oh well."
Penta said as he immediately grabbed Castello's other arm and snapped it at the wrist and elbow as fast as the first time.
The trio seeing the actual way he did it the first time, made them focus on healing Claud's legs even faster before Karu had the brilliant idea and shouted at Penta.
"Honorable brother! Castello should have some really good healing salve on him. Check his pouches!" Karu yelled.
Penta hearing this looked back at Karu and gave a thumbs-up before quickly shifting behind the pain-filled Castello and chopping at his neck with his palm.
He learned of controlling his strength while beating on Griss, Faren, and Karu with a stick.
The chop was just right to make him pass out.
Penta searched around the man's robes and more to find every single thing the man had. The people that were still staring at this whole situation saw him unscrupulously take everything the man owned before shoving it next to Claud's body while the trio searched in amazement at what Castello had.
Penta was still rather clueless on all these items. A small pouch with weird inscription. A few herbs in small cases. Something like potions in another few and a few pills and a ring.
Penta was gonna ask about them later as he still had to settle the situation.
He stood back up and called for everyone's attention while the trio was busy healing Claud.
"Errhmm!"
Everyone looked at Penta and he started.
"Everyone, today was the last day before I leave for the storm tribe and as such, I have gotten a large feast prepared outside so if you all can, please invite all our friends and bring them back over later for a great feast from yours truly the Mirage Feast.
This problem here" Penta said as he pointed at Castello passed out with two broken arms.
"This was clearly a criminal trying to harm our precious innkeeper and as such should be judged tomorrow by the storm tribe representatives themselves. Agreed?" Penta said while smiling.
His sudden eloquence caught everyone off guard but he did truly think of the best solution which made them not think Penta was crazy but rather a good citizen to protect such a great Inn.
"I hope to see everyone at the trial tomorrow as well but first we must celebrate our departure! So invite everyone and if you think I was lying just look outside." As Penta ushered the guests around an unconscious Castello and outside, Celia saw her Father's leg start healing from the pills and salves the trio took out.
She also smiled at how he was handling all this and she couldn't help but suddenly got incredibly embarrassed at what she had screamed and what had happened. She turned red.
Sasha witnessing this while cradling the two little girls couldn't help but smirk and speak.
"You finally remembered eh? I need you! oh, la la." Sasha muttered which made Kaya almost laugh and Celia looked over with a red face and a frightened look. She couldn't believe she yelled that.
The crowds outside got heated and completely forgot about Castello as they saw the pile of blood bears, the ice hooved Elk, the pythons, and the fact that this was for a party they were going to.
They started rushing away to spread the news to their friends.
