"Alright Foster; I need you to turn left and enter the last room in the corridor, in there you will find the files, you got that?" A woman said through the intercom headset.
"Got it" Elizabeth replied; sneaking through the corridor.
"Be carful though, there could be guards everywhere" she warned hacking into the warehouse security system.
"Don't worry I got this" Elizabeth reassured her.
"Seriously Foster"
"Would you relax I'm—Crap"
"Crap? What does crap mean?"
"I'll get back to you I have company"
"Foster!—
She turned of her intercom turning around to see about eight guards surrounding her.
Alright this should be fun.
"Hey fellas; how's it going? I'm just here to pick up a little something if you don't mind, I'll just—
She went to grab the box when one guard cut her off aiming a gun at her head.
"Step away from the crate or I'll shoot"
"Technically it's a box—
"Now!"
"Okay! Okay! Fine you win"
He went to put handcuffs on her when she quickly kicked his hands sending his gun flying to the ground; She managed to get ahold of it before the others could take out theres. She shot four of the guards giving her more of a chance to take out the others. Two of them charged at her but she bent over causing the guards to run into each other, knocking themselves out. She shot the other two easily Seeing as they weren't much as a challenge.
"Anybody else wanna go?.......didn't think so"
She took the box of files and got out of the room but unfortunately the alarm went off alerting the whole building.
Shit.
"Foster are you ok!?" Her coworker managed to connect to her again.
"Yes don't worry I got the stuff"
"You have got to be more careful"
"Yeah, yeah, can we discuss that later; I need you to send a helicopter here fast" she said trying to find a way to the roof.
"What happened?" She asked worriedly.
"I might've set off the alarm" she replied sheepishly.
"Goddammit. Ok don't worry we're sending someone right now"
After Elizabeth found where the exit to the roof was she set of towards it dodging a few guards firing at her. One guard managed to get a hold of her but she quickly head butted him escaping his grasp just in time as the helicopter arrived.
"Agent foster" the pilot greeted her.
"Agent carter. That was fast"
"You've got the files right?"
"Do you not see the box in my hand? Now you might want to get a move on I just gave one of the guards a bloody nose and he seemed really pissed about it"
"Of course"
They started taking off just as the rest of the guards reached the roof, but they were out of sight so they couldn't shoot them from that distance.

When they got back to headquarters they sent in the files to agent Brown not discussing what it was because apparently it was classified.
"Good job agent foster; this was a really hard mission I'm surprised you managed" he congratulated her.
"Please I've been doing this for three years nothing is surprising"
"Don't get to cocky now, that doesn't me you weren't reckless" Brown pointed out.
"I wasn't that reckless" she said fidgeting with her fingers
"Agent Hill said you managed to trigger the alarm;do you understand how dangerous that was" he stood in front of her sending a warning look.
"Yes"
"You could have failed"
"Ok yes, you're right I totally understand but, the important thing is that I got the files and they're safe and no one got hurt. Well except for those guards but they had it coming" she remarked.
He sighed in exhaustion sitting down in front of her. "Foster, you are an excellent spy and quite frankly one of the youngest; but you have to learn to not be that.....confident when on missions because the outcome could be bad"
"Yes sir, I'm sorry. I'll try to be more careful next time" she replied looking down.
"Good, now about your powers" he changed the subject hoping to talk about her magic; she hasn't used them for quite a while so it was really hard for her to control them.
"Sir I haven't used my magic since I was twelve it's gonna take some getting used to" she replied frustrated.
"More than three years?"
"Well I'm too busy focusing on my missions and stuff, I barely get any time to practice"
"You don't have any missions coming up, you can practice during this time. Just learn to control it"
"It's not exactly that easy sir"
"I know that but, at least just try"
"Fine" she gave up, going to reach for the files but Brown quickly snatched it away from her.
"I'll be taking those if you don't mind"
"Why can't I look in them; I retrieved them shouldn't I get to see?" She asked narrowing her eyes.
"Just because you retrieved them doesn't mean you get to look"
"Are you at least going to tell us what it is?"
"Nope"
"Do you plan on doing it anytime soon?" She continued to ask now getting suspicious.
"No"
"Why not?"
"This conversation is over"
"I'm just saying"
"Foster" he warned.
"Okay I'm going" she put her hands up in surrender stepping out of his office.
She went to the front desk to pick up some papers then headed towards her coworkers office to drop them off; on her way she bumped into a man who she has never seen before, he was about two feet taller than her, he had dark brown hair and hazel doe like eyes.
Who's he? I've never seen him around here before.
"Oh Sorry about that, here let me help you" he offered with a silvery voice, helping her pick up her papers.
"No don't worry about it" She took them from his hands examining him subconsciously.
"Uhhh are you alright?" He asked her looking slightly uncomfortable.
"What?"
"You where staring at me" he pointed out.
"Oh um no I was just-uhh. I'm sorry I've never seen you before around her by any chance, have I?"
"I don't think so; we work in different departments"
Her faced turned red in embarrassment "Of course, yes that makes sense"
"O-okay, well have a nice day"
"You- you too"
That was smooth.
Different departments of course...... ok you can never be too sure.
"Hey Christine" she called after her coworker.
"Elizabeth, how's it going?"
"You ratted me out what do you think" she said reminding her about the incident that happened earlier in the day.
"Sorry but you almost flunked the mission"
"I didn't almost flunk it" she denied.
"You were close"
"Yeah whatever. these papers where delivered to you by the way"
"Oh thanks"
"Also do you happen to know who that man over there is?" She pointed to the guy who she met just now hoping he wasn't an imposter.
"That's John Williams he's an informant"
That's good to know. Why am I Being so paranoid about this?
"Why do you ask?"
"No reason I just haven't seen him before; I thought it was a bit suspicious"
"Is that why you keep staring at him" she teased smirking at her friend.
"What! No I'm not" she turned away in embarrassment.
"Keep telling yourself that" Christine continued to taunt.
"Hill!"
"Oh would you look at the time I've gotta go, bye"
I'm not starring at him, and even if I was it's just suspicion..... Ugh get yourself together, you know that he works here now let it go and go home.
