They head to the market into a tavern filled with adventurers, warriors, and fighters of every kind. Eyes were on John and Casper as soon as they entered, making john very uncomfortable. They walk to the back counter were a woman sits reading over documents.
Casper: hello, miss Tesla. Good to see you in good health.
Tesla: well, if it isn't the favorite trainee. How's life treating you?
Casper: fair as always.
Tesla: yeah okay. Who's your friend? New recruit? No wait... Status says merchant.
John: John Reh. I'm here to trade were do I go to sell beast parts?
Tesla: uh... Right here. I'll take them.
John hands her the spider parts and she examines them. Then pulls out a large bag of coins.
Tesla: so I take it you help this guy get material, huh, Casper?
Casper: huh? No. I just met him a few moments ago. He got these himself before arrival.
Tesla: Huh? Seriously? This scrawny thing? Really?
John: yeah, yeah. Hard to believe. Can I go please? I'm getting stared at now.
Tesla: well yeah, you'd get stared at. I mean, look at that hair. Who's ever heard of a red haired beastkin?
John: like I'd know. I'm not a beast.
Tesla: what so you got cursed? Is that why you status says unknown race?
John: I'm an orphan. So sue me.
Tesla: ... Now that's just suspicious.
John: ugh. Not you too. I had enough from the kings neice. Don't throw that at me and kick me for it.
Tesla: whoa. Jeez. Sorry. Here take your mons. Already.
John: thank you.
Tesla: yeah sure. Just keep the aura of yours under control, will you? Its filling the room like a fume.
John: what? Aura?
Casper: you haven't noticed? The other guards told me you've been giving off a strong aura since you left the castle.
John: I have!?
Tesla: ... Hey Casper, you sure this guy ain't a new recruit?
Casper: I'd have one hell of a competition.
John: what?! What I do this time?
Casper: nothing. Lets get you back to the king see if he can fix this.
John: aw man. I wanted to see the city.
Casper: what will you do?
John: get proper clothes and stuff so I can move on. I'm not staying here. I'm traveling.
Casper:... Then lets check out the market. Not many people can feel energy like those here.
John: good. Less eyes.
John and Casper circle the market as john gathers cothers and food for his journey. During their last round, they hear an argument brake out by the fountain. A man was attacking a young girl with a basket of flowers. Without a second thought, casper jumps in and stops him.
Casper: what do you think your doing to this girl?
Man: heh. Do you not see who I am? I'm a royal fire guardian of the east, brat. Just try to stop me and see what happens.
The man pulls a dagger from his side and swipes at Casper. A small explosion goes off in his face making him tumble backward amd choke. The man attacks and Casper quickly pulls his sword to block. John runs to the girls aid and helps her run away, but he gets caught in the cross fire and is sent to a nearby bench.
John: ow...
Casper: sir John!
John: I'm okay. Just hit my butt.
Cat: go ahead and help him. See what you can do.
John: I don't like fighting.
Cat: I'm not gonna stop until show me some backbone, kid. And backing out isn't an option. Come on. If you dont want to fight, then defend. The best offense is defense and vise versa. Think of the most peaceful yet forceful way to handle a guy like that.
John watches with the crowd as Casper struggles to defend himself. Soon he is sent to the center of the market near the fountain. The man rushes him. Before his dagger made contact with Casper, John rushes to the scene and pounces the mans arm, burying the dagger in the ground.
John is now looking the man in the eyes on full alert. He knees the man in the chest before he could react, grabs his shirt and sends him into the fountain head first in the water, knocking him unconscious. Casper watched in amaze and shock. To him and everyone around them, the impossible just became reality. John helps Casper to his feet.
John: sorry for the delayed reaction. You okay?
Casper: ... Lets get you back to the castle now. I'll take this guy with us to be felt with.
John: uh... Okay.
Back at the castle.
King: come again?
Casper: apparently he never noticed his own power after you released it. At the guild tavern, Tesla and the others were very weary of him just from his aura alone. I can't sense it, so I wouldn't have known until I saw it with my own eyes at the market. This man was causing trouble so I tried to stop him but he was a C-class guardian. I had no chance against him. But sir John here.... I only wish you were there to see it yourself, sire.
King: now I don't like you.
John: what!? Why? What I do wrong?!
King: nothing. That's just it. You don't realize your potential and it's wasted now. I think you should go to you room until we figure out what to do with you.
John: why? I don't live here.
King: until you figure out what to do about your supposed strength, you do. Your aura is far too intimidating apparently. And let's say it's quite the absurd amount.
John:... it is?
