Chapter 31 - Chapter 1 [Hope Anew] (Page 25)

Her parents did not like her and therefore she was often used as a scapegoat for others in her family. She did not know her parents love and was even abused and forced to do shameful things which she will not tell what. Her clothing of choice covers the majority of her body which is scarre only revealing her hands, feet and anything above her neck.

She only took joy in very few things, one of which was archery and swordplay the two things she excels at with a near complete mastery of the two when she was only 16. So perhaps her parents and family members did this out of fear as to repress her and to use her skills to their advantage?

Not much is known about her or should I say we know nothing about who she actually is. I forced my eyes open to clear out my mind, at the rate I was thinking I would never be able to sleep. After a while of listening to the soft blowing of the wind I shut my eyes and drifted into the silent embrace of sleep. It seemed to last only for a moment before that embrace was interrupted, there was a sudden jolt and my eyes opened.

The dust danced across the room shrouded in the glowing aura lended by the sun, giving each of them a miniature spotlight lasting for a few moments before vanishing back into the dark. I yawned softly, stretching my hands and legs before sitting up glancing around the room. Sora was already wake and seemed to have already bathed with a towel around her neck clothed in a sweatshirt and short pants for the time being.

She looked over to my direction, drops of water flinging off her hair as she does so. "Morning River, I was just thinking of hauling you off the bed. What took you so long to get up even Star woke earlier than you today." She said stretching her arms "Go on to have your bath and stop staring. You have seen me like this before."

"Right, right sorry." I muttered rubbing the back of my head as I stand up, I walked over to my nightstand and plucked my towel from hole above the drawer. I slung the towel over my back while grabbing a fresh new outfit and walked towards the bath. The walls around me were silent today without a creature in sight, not even a spider only an abandoned web woven into the corner. As I walked down the path even the Sunstones seemed to become dimmer at the encroaching event which was dreaded.

As usual there was a soft cloud of mist from the spring which shrouded the place forming an ever changing tapestry. I went in and did some preparation before entering the hot spring where Shadow was already at. I wanted to enquire about the relationship between him and Nimbus but I refrained from doing so as that will do no good. I submerged myself into the spring the soft sound of bubbles popping was the only source of sound.

Even Shadow who would always try to strike up a conversation was silent today taking only a few moments to nod and acknowledge my presence. I sat down and cleaned myself up, the dark mood seemed to have caught on and dragged everyone down.
