A few brave souls went into the fissures of the Void to explore to see a way to harness its power. Yet those souls are never heard from again as once they enter they seem to vanish even those who were tethered return as nothing. So a long time later into the future, a human scientist named Dust came up with a way to do what no one else has done. As he did his work and research he met up with Dilya, an elven princess, when staying at King Bronze's castle as an envoy.
At first the two were polar opposites in personalities and ideas, yet as separate as they were affection, started to build up. They drifted closer together coming together more often for things, till the point where they started to date. This was only known to Bronze as he decided to keep it from Glessil, Queen of the elves of that time.
As their love and affection prospered so did his invention called 'The Void Construct' a machine designed to harness the Void's power. Two years passed as their love and his invention went to new heights. At the end of the year, he would then propose to her which shocked her at first. After some thoughts she accepted it on the day when 'The Fall' began.
At first all was well and went according to plan with the gathering of the Kings and Queens of the world and the activation. What they least expected was an Interdimensional Entity of darkness to appear which was what led to today's events. During the fall 'The Fallen' and 'Void Walkers' were the ones who benefited the most from the incident.
They were now free to roam the world as they please without anymore restraints. Their relatives and loved ones are also safe from harm with the invasion, most decided to go out to take revenge against the world who has pressed them down for so long. A few were willing to help others, creating small sanctuaries for others to come and take shelter in.
There were multiple classes of Voidborn each one was unique and deadly, armed and evolved for combat only. A Tank classed is a huge Voidborn with a heavily armoured carapace across its entire body excluding its eyes. The weak points are usually the joints, eyes and mouth when opened. They are big, bulky and slow but hit like a farm easily crushing an orc with a swipe of its hand.
Then there were Phantoms who have wing like arms with membranes in between, used for gliding. They cannot fly but have the ability to turn invisible for an extended period of time. 3 minutes after they attack someone or perform a huge stunt does the cloak disappear. The camouflage once used has a cooldown of 30 minutes before Phantoms can use them again. They have thin and slender frames with sharp teeth and claws, they also have a profusion of bone from their hands which can be used as a sword.
Drones were the majority of the invading forces and resemble a human shadow exaggerated to extreme proportions. They are decently strong and fast with the ability to contort any part of their body to become a weapon of its choice. They can be easily dispatched but their numbers serve as a big problem. They never travel alone and often use ambush tactics and their numbers to take down stronger opponents.
Scouts are fast small and blob like creatures who move around by casting out tendrils of void and latching onto objects. It then pulls itself along moving faster than any other Voidborn although it is lacking in combat abilities. Often it creates a loud shrieking sound to alert other stronger Voidborn to come and take down enemies. It is recommended to take them out on sight as they can be easily dispatched with a single blow to its main body.
