A tragic tale of two loved ones, one is searching for each other while the other waits bound in a cursed prison. Each one willing to do whatever it takes to find the other, it is a tale which always touches my heart. They did nothing to deserve this but they have to endure such hardships. It portrays how cruel and unforgiving the world is and yet how powerful love is when your spirits touch each other.
I closed the book and set it aside, I sighed closing my eyes laying there for a while. After a few moments I opened my eyes again and looked around, considering that I was done with my first book and that Sora was still here I went to grab another book. I grabbed the book and placed it back in its position, I slid my hand across the book's leather covers. At random again I pulled a book free from its position on the shelf.
Other books would lean inwards in an attempt to conceal the missing book as best as they can. I walked back to my bed and sat down turning the book so I could see its cover. This one was elaborately decorated with designs etched across its face, with the title of 'The Falls origins'. I remember this was a book my mother got me for my 10 years old birthday present.
I flipped it to its side unveiling the multitudes of sheets of paper pressed together to make a thick layer of paper to imply that it was a lengthy book. I looked over to Sora again who was still on the same book although she was mostly done with it. She lowered the book to meet my gaze as she felt my gaze shift onto her, we held it for a while before I broke it first.
I shuffled onto my bed to make myself comfortable before I started to read pages slowly shifting under my fingers. Once again I lost myself in a world of words as my eyes floated across the letters on the parchment. This one again was a tale of love and tragedy, a dream filled with hope that unleashed the darkness upon the land. A tale of a scientist and an elven princess who were destined for each other, yet separated by such a great gap.
Since the beginning, the races were always intrigued by the darkness that was underneath. Some even went so far as to let those creatures into their bodies and minds hence the term 'The Fallen' was given to them. They had vast power but short lives, so they loved more intensely and had more atrocity than others.
Although they seldom found happiness as those around them only care about the power they possess and not them as a person. There were some who are 'Void Walkers' poor things who were consumed by the darkness while still an infant. This means they are one with the darkness wielding power stronger than The Fallen but they can never see the sun without melting.
Long constant exposure would kill them as they are shadows brought to life, even then they are still shadows regardless. They are shunned by all the races even more that The Fallen as they fear the power Void Walkers possesses. The Fallen are powerful yes but they have their limitations and can be defeated in battle.
So far no one has ever defeated a Void Walker, there was a case where 8 of The Fallen teamed up against one Void Walker and were utterly defeated. Hence the term which came from them, "Power is both a blessing and a curse". It is a blessing as they could protect those they care for but a curse as no one wants to be associated with a Void Walker.
