On the way there we met up with the twins, Emerald was sticking her head through the gap in the door. "That was very fast"
Through the hallways we heard Shadow's voice call out "Sorry! False alarm I hit the bell by accident!"
Emerald sighs shaking her head and withdrawing her head back into the room, closing the door with a dull thud. Star shrugged "Well that was a waste of time" she muttered as she then turned around and walked back to our room.
Sora as well turned around and returned back to her room, I shortly followed behind the two of them. I entered the room along with Sora closing the door behind me, my eyes quickly scanned the room. She flopped onto her bed and stretched her hands, then picked up the book on the nightstand and continued reading.
I knelt down next to the book shelf taking out a book at random, I stood up and walked over to my bed. On the way there I grabbed my bookmark off the desk, taking off my shoe I got on the bed and leaned against the wall. The fire from the lantern casted an orange glow over the ink black words. I looked over to Sora who was reading a book while lying on her side. It seemed that she forgot to put back her shoes on when she left as she was still wearing socks.
I diverted my attention back to the book as I flipped through the pages, time seemed to slow down and stop as I immersed myself in a brand new world. It flickered to life in the brown colour of the parchments. It was a tale, a sad tale of a princess and her 'prince'. In a time before this there was a princess who fought for her nation, the people adored her and she was hailed as a hero. Time after time she would charge into battle with the army and each time she would emerge victorious. Then, there was the son of a farmer who lived honestly despite the tense conditions of the nations. One day the battle was brought to their lands the boy held off the army with the local forces as the army arrived.
They stood their ground long enough for the army to arrive, the princess was impressed by the boys spirit to keep fighting despite the odds. Once the battle was over she offered him a place beside her which he accepted. They then fought battle after battle side by side while the affection for each other grew.
It grew to the point where they both loved each other with all they had. On a fateful day, a day of reckoning where the battle of kingdoms would decide if there would or would not be peace. She told him that the day after the battle she would propose to him and he Asiad the same to her.
Side by side as they always did they charged into the heat of battle against the enemy forces. It was in that battle that she died even with him by her side as he could not save her. Blinded by grief and pain he wandered the land aimlessly as he does not know what to do without her even in this time of peace.
One day he met a deity who told him that somewhere in an enchanted forest behind a veil of thorns was his princess. Sleeping in an enchanted slumber where only his kiss could save her and wake her up. So with his determination renewed he set out on a quest to find his princess and save her at all costs. So they can be together again, till this day he is still wandering around searching for his beloved.
Even against the darkness of the void he keeps searching, he knew that he could not die until he found her. Through sheer will power somehow he is still alive till this day taking down all who stand between him and his princess.
