Chapter 9 - First Impression

He frowned. She couldn't see him at all. He felt all the more guilty. She had already suffered heart-wrenching events, on top of that she just had to be blind. He sadly sighed as he thought of the horrible encounters that Dahlia had experienced.

Hei Bohai felt aggrieved as he felt a glare coming from Dahlia.

"How dare you bring me back!" She hissed at him.

Dahlia's sharp words interrupted Hei Bohai's thoughts and his frown deepened even more. He ignored her words and asked,

"Do you remember me?"

Dahlia was frustrated and angry, this man once again ripped her from her brother's grave after three years of being trapped in her consciousness, that was a place she never wanted to be trapped in, ever. Her consciousness was a dark corner that enclosed on her, she was unable to breathe or think clearly. She only thought of one thing, 'let me out'. Being blind was clearly much better than being trapped in her dark mind. But after being able to actually feel her brother's grave one more time, and being ripped apart from his grave again made her furious.

What made the icing on the cake was on top of all of that, her hands and legs were tied down by velcro straps.

"Would you please 'oh gracious highness' release me?" Dahlia stared at Hei Bohai trying to convey her message.

"No. You're just going to escape." Hei Bohai reasoned.

"You're right. But I would rather be out there than in here." Dahlia looked at her straps that held her down and then looked at Hei Bohai as if everything was his fault.

"Oh please, spare me. If you go out right now would you be able to help yourself? Do you have a relative or friend who could help you? Provide for you? For the last three years, I have never been notified of anyone who had visited you except for me. Do you still plan to go out with no money, phone, or contacts?" Hei Bohai once again reasoned with Dahlia. He wanted to get rid of her determination to escape from this hospital and him. After all, their encounter three years ago was fated. Was it merely a coincidence? Hei Bohai thought not. He wanted this chance, he thirsted for this chance. And it was presented to him.

He had finally been able to meet her once again.
