Chapter 13 - Her Guardian

Dahlia Long woke up from her long needed nap and sensed an annoying presence in her room.

"Hey Mister-whatever-your-name-is, I have absolutely no idea why you're here or why you have to be a jerk to not even leave me alone for a couple of days. You know, I need my peace as a 17-year old lady." Dahlia said this without very little breath because she was absolutely annoyed at Hei Bohai for his persisting presence and personality.

"To keep you from escaping from your guardian." Hei Bohai answered her question.

"As a 17-year old lady, you need a guardian. And since no one has visited you, nor even tried to contact you, I will be your guardian..." Hei Bohai stopped and stared at Dahlia who had a jaw dropping expression, he laughed, "I will be your big brother from now on, don't even bother escaping. I might even be your ticket to take revenge from your sisters?" He patted her head while she wore the same expression she had found on for a while now.

"Wai- But. How. Why? What? Wait, wait, wait, you're not even my biological brother? And you are a strang-" A finger was put on Dahlia's lips.

"Shhhhh. Just take it. You are only 17 after all."

"Ok then... are you some sort of psychopath? Why would you even want a scarred and ugly blinded person as your sister." Dahlia had found this hard to believe. Beauty standards has always been a must have, especially to top tier men like him, being next to a guy like him would destroy his reputation.

Hei Bohai just stared at her for a long time, and he ended with this conclusion, she was very pretty. Her scars made her seem fierce and bold. The cloudiness in her eyes made her fairy like and something not of this world.

He sighed and said, "Dahlia, I would rather think that you are quite beautiful."

"Wha-" Dahlia was astonished, but mostly, she was just confused.

"What is wrong with you? Don't tell me, my specific type of blindness mutated and can be very contagious. And so, I could only came up with the conclusion that you are blind too."

Hei Bohai: ".... *ABSOLUTE SILENCE..."

"Hahahahaha! You are quite an interesting one!" Hei Bohai could not contain his laughter.

Meanwhile....

Arisa had also heard of the news, Dahlia's corpse was nowhere to be seen.

She had the same reaction as her older sister's, Ziona. She admired her, and loved her beyond admiration and respect.

"Sister! This isn't a problem right? We should be able to find her corpse soon and hang it on our walls as decoration soon." Arisa laughed, imagining the ugly swine's corpse on the wall.

"No Ari, that would stain our walls rather than 'decorate' it. I think it would be better if we put her in prison cells with our troubled slaves."
