"Huh?" Kaori said blankly, "But why?"
Mark interrupted before Dylan could reply, "It seems like we have a lot to talk about. Why don't we go have a chat in the council room?"
"Sure," Dylan said, "Miss Kaori?"
Kaori nodded.
As the team started for the student council room, leaving the backstage, Kaori followed them.
But Wood grabbed her arm, "What about us?"
"Stay back. I'll tell you everything later," Kaori replied in a hurry and left her friends behind to follow the others.
"O-kay," Wood said, a little downcasted. He wanted to go with her find out what they were talking about.
"They want Kaori to transfer to MSC?" Willia stated what was going on in everyone's mind.
"Well, looks like they want it but... will she accept the offer?" Robin asked, unsure.
Wood let out a sigh, "We won't be able to go anywhere with guessing. We'll get to know everything from Kaori when she comes back, so let's drop it."
Yamaken suddenly began walking towards the exit but Wood stopped ๐ฉ๐ช๐ฎ, too.
"Where are you going?" He asked Yamaken.
"I'm going to find out what's going on. I have to," Yamaken said as he got his arm out of Wood's grip.
He left the backstage.
Tom sighed, "What should we do now?"
"I was planning to have fun until we leave for home but they just ruined my plan," Said Melissa sadly.
"Let's just look around.
There will be a bonfire before the school building, right? Let's go there," Dylanthy suggested.
"Let's have Anna and Ellie join us," Willia said.
Wood sighed, "You guys, do you think Kaori will leave us?" He said, not being able to forget what had happened a while ago.
Everyone stopped for a moment.
Then they all muttered, "Who knows.. But we'd prefer it if she didn't.."
*****
Everyone took seats in the student council room. Kaori sat before Dylan.
She raised an eyebrow as nobody was saying anything, "Well? Why do you want to give me this offer?"
Dylan smiled, "Are you perhaps, annoyed that I gave you this offer?"
Kaori quickly shook her head, "No, I'm not. It's just that I am utterly surprised.
I am a mere member of the student council and I ๐ข๐ฎ the president of some clubs of this school. But that doesn't have anything to make you do this, does it?"
Dylan took a breath, "Miss Kaori, let me explain to you why I gave you this offer because you really do seem to have become too confused about the reason."
Kaori nodded.
He began, "Jack Evans - my best friend - came here with his other friends to have a look around. He then met you guys and went to you cafe and things, I know it all because he told me all about it.
After hearing everything from him, an interest aroused in me. So I came here today to visit this festival with my own being."
He continued, "I wanted to see you since Jack told me about you. He had said that you were a really nice person and treated him nicely when he was in the costume cafe.
But since it was sports day today, I couldn't go to the costume cafe. So I didn't know how I could meet you."
He stopped and gave Kaori a smile, "But I met you in the most unexpected way."
Kaori frowned.
"I got lost when I was looking around and I ended up, which I think was the back of the school building and I saw you with some girls," Dylan finished.
"๐๐ฆ๐ฌ!" Kaori's facial expression changed as she finally could understand where this was going, "๐๐ฆ ๐ด๐ข๐ธ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ช๐ฆ!!!"
"I was wondering if I should go and ask you to help me but I stopped when I heard your conversation," Dylan said casually, as if the so called ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ was just a normal one.
"I was surprised why you were being like this, but I understood the situation when I heard what you said.
I knew at once that you were threatening the other girl because she did wrong and it made me feel respectful towards you," he said with a bright smile.
"Kaori threatened a student?" Mark exclaimed.
Kaori silently closed her eyes off tightly, "๐'๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ," she thought.
"No, no!" Dylan objected, "She was teaching the other girl to learn how to treat someone better."
"Oh," Mark calmed down.
Kaori let out a sigh of relief as he did.
"I thought," Mark began but got cut off by Dylan.
"No, she's not like that," Dylan assured him.
He then continued, "After that, I followed you. I saw you talk with another girl and then I also saw you go to the soccer game which got cancelled later."
Kaori took a sharp breath, "๐๐ช๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ฑ๐ด๐ฆ?"
"But you suddenly vanished in the middle of waiting for the soccer match. I waited for a long time but I didn't see you anywhere even after the match was announced as cancelled," as he said this, Kaori let out another sigh of relief which was left unnoticed by everyone in the room.
"I was walking aimlessly around with Jack when I saw you with the other boy and those two girls but this time, the girl you threatened seemed to behave a lot differently. Her behaviour had totally changed.
I was surprised and I knew that if she was changed, that means you changed her.
You were able to change her, miss Kaori, from a bad person to the complete opposite!
I was so.. I don't know how to describe but I was really amazed!" Dylan said with excitement lacing his voice.
He continued as he beamed at Kaori who now had a soft smile on her face, "I still didn't know that it was you who Jack talked about, though. Since he wasn't with me all the time, he didn't get to see you or recognize you.
After I told him about you, he wanted to see you.
I had heard your conversation in which your friend said something about an archery contest and I thought that maybe you were going to participate. So Jack and I started for there."
"It totally feels like you were a girl who had a crush on me and tailed me all day long," Kaori couldn't help but say out aloud with a laugh.
Everyone in the room burst out laughing at this.
"I also felt the same. I mean, you were amazing, to be honest. I just wanted to know more about you since you were also mysterious, if you know what I mean," Said Dylan as he laughed.
Kaori nodded, "Yes, I do. Now please, proceed."
"So when you were introduced in the archery contest, Jack recognized you and I was happy to find out that he was indeed correct about you.
After the contest, I went down to congratulate you. Again, I saw another incident of yours with a boy student this time."
Kaori thought.
"I thought that boy was so disrespectful and annoying that I wanted to punch him right on the spot. He really pissed me off," Dylan gritted his teeth, "What kind of student talk to another student like this! Outrageous!"
Kaori laughed helplessly, "Well, bullies don't go through all of those rules nowadays, do they?"
"You are right, miss Kaori, fairly enough. I was satisfied with your action against him," he gave a smile at Kaori.
"After that, I went to meet Mark Brown, your student council president here," he gave a nod at Mark, "So I wasn't able to follow you around."
He gave a laugh at his own joke.
Kaori just smiled, "So.. I still don't get it," she said, confused.
"I'm not finished yet," Dylan said again, "Then, in the closing ceremony, your voice was amazing. The music and the lyrics, it was so fitting and the full song by you - I can't describe it perfectly.
That was when I realized what you were."
Kaori was taken aback, "What do you mean? I'm a human, what else would I be?" she blinked two times straight.
"No, miss Kaori. You are indeed, a human, but you are a precious gemstone among human. That's the best way to describe you," Dylan said with a proud expression, "You have so many talents and you also have an amazing personality. You are unique.
This is why I chose to give you this offer.
It's because ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ are a leader, miss Kaori, a true leader."
*****
Yamaken was hearing the conversation inside the student council room from the outside.
He sighed, "๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ต'๐ด ๐ด๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ฅ๐ฐ?" He thought.
*****
"So miss Kaori, please come over to our school and be our leader. Together with you, with the help of you, we can achieve greater success in the future.
I believe, you can be a better leader than me," Said Dylan.
Kaori waited for him to finish.
"Kaori, transfer to MSC High School and be the student council president, be our leader," Dylan said finally.
"So what's your answer?" He asked slowly as he gave Kaori some time to think.
"I'll," Kaori began, "Think about it," she finished.
