13-year-old Celestina Cruvise woke up in her room on the 3rd and the topmost floor of their house, it's tall but does not look beautiful or does that look rich.
She woke up to see all her drawings stuck in the wall - well, she started to draw pretty good recently until then she was worst at it - the thing she loves about her room is that even though it is cramped because of her studying table in front of the bed, beside the studying table she had her old bookshelf- which was bought like two days ago just because she was keeping all her book in shoe rack which was not used in a long time - on the other side of the room she had her brother's old lamp which was transferred to her room because she was scared of darkness and the fact that she often gets nightmare also contribute.
With all these things in her tiny room she also kept her room creative like putting up her drawings, paintings and recycled things like her piggy bag made up of old plastic bottles.
Yet, her room was not as creative as her brother's, his room was much more creative and awesome. She loved to be in her brother Chase's room because it was lively. Her brother was her favorite, he was the only person Celestina shared everything and anything to.
She has a sister Charlotte who is three-years-old and she already has Celestina wrapped around her little finger.
Charlotte looked cute with the same dirty blonde hair her brother's and brown eyes like her father whereas Celestina's hair was raven black like her dad's and amber eyes that quite stood out since nobody in the family had amber eyes.
Celestina woke up and went to the mirror to find her long, wavy, raven hair messy like a bird's nest, and her eyes swollen which was obvious since she had nightmares very often.
She had this weird nightmare yesterday night and she woke up alarmingly, it became quite usual since she had many bizarre dreams recently like once she had a dream where some weird creature with complete sea-green skin, red eyes which was pleading to her for some unknown reason, it's hair was sweet orange and he wore something similar to an armor breastplate, brown jeans, and white sneakers.
Then yesterday was the worst of all since Celestina was in the front with a sword that was a perfect fit for her fingers and the very surprising fact was that she was not alone she was with an army, fully armed and waiting for someone's command (more likely Celestina's) to charge, the worst thing was that they were all just the same way like the creature she saw in her other dream: green body, red eyes but they were of different height, they had different hair colors (like blue, yellow, pink) and there were both men and women.
Then there were two boys - she guessed since those silhouettes had flat chest - on either side of her whom she couldn't figure out as their silhouettes were a blur, then there was this big army in front of them, it was like the fight was between Celestina and the army in front of her, it was consisting hideous monsters some like giants, then there was a monster in the hybrid of a snake and a frog - could this hybrid be very dangerous? The question may arise, to answer that: Yes, it does 'cause the snake was in the upper region and the frog was in the bottom this cause dangerous things like poisoning, strangling and some hideous monster jumping on you - vampires, hydras, then a combination of bull and lion – okay, now that is terrifying – there were many more weird things like that.
Whenever Celestina thinks about her dreams or more like nightmares she felt dizzy because her grandmother used to say that some dreams may show what is going to happen in the future and the things she saw in her dreams...she didn't want that to be real.
Despite all the things going in her head Celestina also felt excited because she was going to a new school - The Ralphydor high - but the reason she was going to the new school was disturbing, it was because her father couldn't afford that much to make her and her brother study in their old school.
Anyhow, Celestina got ready in her black denim jeans and a white hoodie. She kept all her books in her bag the day before itself.
She went down to see her brother. As usual, he was ready in black jeans and red and black checked shirt – which was Celestina's favorite outfit – his blonde hair perfect, not messy, unlike Celestina's and his blue eyes shining once it noticed her presence.
"Morning, les! Wow, you woke up early and got ready! That's a miracle!" exclaimed Chase, Celestina's 18-year-old brother "Yes, Chase, I did. Now, what is the miracle in it?" asked Celestina "Asks the person who wakes up at 12 and skips breakfast" said Chase, that was real though, she did wake up late because she used to either read or do her homework until late night which made her sleep more in the morning to compensate for the sleep she lost in the night.
"Shut up, Chase" said Celestina, her brother started to laugh at the moment he saw her embarrassed face.
"Are you excited about the new school?" asked Celestina, even though she knew the answer. "Uh, not exactly and you know why" said Chase. Yes, she did know why Chase did not like to change the school because from the starting Chase has been studying in the same school, he has loads of friends there, Chase and his friends are like 'together, forever' friends, they were practically inseparable.
Now Chase changing the schools was like losing a pillar of friendship for their friends since he was like a mediator in their friendship group; stoping all the fights and arguments.
They together went down for breakfast. It seems that as always Celestina's father had left to work in the early morning, just because of this reason she hardly gets a chance to interact with her father, the day they get their father fully for them is on Saturdays, even that might ruin when her father gets calls asking him to come to work.
As soon as she descended the stairs she found her mom cooking for them in the kitchen. She greeted her mom gaining attention from the older woman. Her heart broke slightly looking at her mom, her dirty blond hair tied in a bun and her startling blue eyes looking tired and pained and few wrinkles forming at the end of her eyes. Though she used to conceal those few little details that she thought would pain Celestina and her brother, however, today she couldn't hide it completely.
The one thing Celestina learned from that was however broken you are, do not show it out, and make the people you love sad. Well, let's just say Celestina was mastered in that. At times when Celestina's friends used to ask her why she hides her feelings, she used to reply "The reason I hide my feelings is because I can't explain them" and shrug the question off.
"Morning kids! You both got ready this early to go to your new school?" said Celestina's mom Maria Cruvise. "Yes mom, we got ready because of the school, even Celestina got up early" said Chase. "Hey!" Celestina complained. Her mom just laughed and her laughter was heavenly.
"Mom, where is Charlotte? I want to see her before going to school" asked Celestina, very eager to change the subject to avoid getting embarrassed by her brother. "Charlotte is still sleeping, dear. You can see her after returning from school. Now, I will serve the breakfast so you start moving to the school" said Celestina's mother. "But mom-" Celestina started only to be cut off by her mom "No dear, now you need to go to school you can see her when you come back. Now come on, you both have your breakfast and start moving. I don't want you both to be late on the first day of your school."
Celestina and Chase completed their breakfast and started to walk towards their new school. "Les, you saw mom?" asked Chase when they completed a quarter percent of the walk towards the school. "Yes Chase, I saw that. I want to do something to make the same thing come true," said Celestina even though she was oblivious about what to do to make her mom happy.
