somewhere deep within the Archadia empire in the north-eastern region was the property belonging to the royal family. this was where they had the imperial palace that stood tall and covered a large surface area of over four hectares. the palace walls stood a towering 110 metres tall surrounding the palace in the shape of a square. the gates into the palace were made with obsidian and smelted gold that weighed over 2 tonnes and stood 60 metres high. the gate had an emblem of two lions holding to a parchment tightly with their left paws and their right paws had claws drawn, this was made of gold.
the guards who stood in the four watchtowers at each corner of the square were watching the ground closely with large crossbows strapped to their backs. each guard here was at the rank of at least S. the palace was towering and made of three separate buildings. the tallest building being over 250 metres in height. the exterior of this building was similar to a large-scale museum with gryphons made of Adamantite on almost every pillar. the walls were painted a creamy peach and the private gardens were filled with white and red roses. there were three towers connected to different points of the building that was similar in shape to a 90degree triangle.
within this building, there was a boy who looked to be the age of 14. he was currently sleeping in his large bed within the room located at the east wing of the building. he had long green hair that passed his shoulders and facial features similar to a beautiful female. he had slightly long nails and his skin colour was the same as the building, creamy peach.
he was still asleep while a little girl who looked similar to him other than she was actually the female. she too was 14 but was mostly mistaken as an 11-year-old. anyways the girl burst into the room with a wide grin on her face she skipped across the lavishly decorated room and jumped onto the sleeping boy with her hands outstretched.
she landed on the boy's belly as his eyes flew open revealing his red eyes that were in the shape of narrow slits. he was enraged and he shouted the name of his twin sister.
"MANDY!"
"teehee..."
the girl got off the bed and held her hands behind her back while acting innocent. she was Mandy Graham and the boy who was sleeping before her was her twin brother Josh Graham. they were twins who were now part of the royal family of the Archadia empire. they were both extremely lazy people who liked playing pranks on each other.
currently, Mandy was running through the palace corridors at top speed because she knew her brother would retaliate immediately. she passed some maids who greeted her. she greeted them back and smiled before running off once more.
"oh my...they're at it again...should we tell her majesty the empress?"
"We don't need to...they'll probably destroy half the building by the time we inform her majesty...besides her majesty has ways to deal with them."
the maids then returned to their cleaning duties and left the matters for someone else to handle.
Josh had left his room and was looking down the corridor with his bright red eyes still in narrow slits. he had to find Mandy...and fast before mother comes. Josh then saw Mandy's silhouette running down the right of the corridor. with a slight grin, he crouched down and placed his hands on the marble floor. the next second he activated his [white dragon's speed] skill and immediately disappeared from where he stood.
Mandy had guessed that by now Josh would have activated his [white dragon's speed] skill. she simply smiled as she immediately fell to the ground narrowly dodging a hand that was aiming to slap the back of her head.
"tch!"
Josh was now annoyed at the fact his twin had managed to dodge his slap but he quickly turned around rotating his left leg and rose higher into the air causing the marble floor under his foot to crack before shattering completely. he had taken about half a second to switch to a roundhouse kick from a slap. Mandy was simply staring at the kick as it quickly closed the gap between it and her flat chest.
she smiled a bit before activating her own skill, [white dragon's defence]. when she activated the skill her brother stopped his kick and tried to retreat before he felt a crushing force bounce him back for a few metres. he rolled on the ground while clutching his head. he stopped his rolling by punching the ground and using the recoil to stand straight up.
he looked at the grinning Mandy who was now surrounded by flickering lights that appeared and disappeared within seconds. this defence was absolute and was hard for Josh to overcome. the one and the only way he could overcome this annoying barrier was by moving faster than Mandy's speed of sight and strike her blindspot.
her [white dragon's defence] skill had a drawback and that was that it didn't cover her completely. she hadn't mastered it yet and could only summon a few barriers to cover her vital areas. she could move the barriers around and even send them forth like projectiles but only to a certain range from her body. Josh really hated this skill and he was already forming a plan on how to overcome it when he heard the voice of the person he feared the most in his life.
"ARE YOU, IDIOTS, AT IT AGAIN!?!?"
Josh was hoping to finish his sister before this person came. when he wanted to tell Mandy that they should probably run he saw that the place she once stood was empty. Josh was temporarily surprised before he felt somebody breathing down his neck.
with a cold shiver running down his spine he turned around to see a grown bespectacled woman who was smiling at him. she had green long hair and white pale eyes.
"you know...I should probably just disown you."
the next second the prince was rolling on the floor in pain while clutching his crotch. he was groaning loudly and struggled to breathe.
that was when a maid who was passing by noticed him and dropped the laundry basket she was carrying.
"YOUR MAJESTY!"
