Marv left the shop with a large smile on his face. he had got a score!
each of those scythes seemed to resonate with his system. he remembered the sudden green semi-transparent message board that appeared before his face.
[system detecting order fluctuations.]

he agreed and felt his body shake slightly as his vision blurred a bit. when it stopped Marv was sure that the scythes had some kind of relationship with him so he bought all four. when he touched the first scythe he saw another message board appear before his vision as it read something.

Marv was immediately overjoyed as he collected the other scythes and paid 100 gold to the blacksmith. he put all the scythes in a pile and then placed them within his inventory surprising the blacksmith.
Marv then thanked the man and left the shop. Marv first returned to the hotel after turning a few street corners and went up to his room. he found Finn telling stories to Brianna, he smiled before he frowned when he heard what Finn was talking about. Finn was continuing with his nonsense from the cafe and was adding a few...inappropriate words.
Marv walked to Finn with a fake smile plastered to his face. Finn immediately shut up as he got up from the bed he was sitting on and went to the balcony. Marv just watched Finn leave and told Brianna to not listen to Finn again.
when that was settled Marv then called Finn back and showed him the chain scythe by pulling it out of his inventory. Finn exclaimed in wonder as he examined the black scythe carefully. Marv was satisfied with this as he called for his system log.
a green semi-transparent screen appeared before Marv describing past notifications. Marv then pushed the board in Finn's direction and Finn could read the past four notifications.

Finn was surprised...if he went by what the system was describing the scythes then it meant...they're soul weapons!?!
the system was made with the basic idea of blessing certain people with privileges the normal couldn't get...that included soul weapons...they were weapons that were left behind by great individuals that the system masters recognised as honourable. these weapons are extremely hard to obtain and were even harder to control. so the system masters made it so that the soul weapons could be collected by the players to go to greater heights. the soul weapons came with great buffs and bonuses that could only be utilised by the players.
Finn wanted to shout at Marv that he was cheating but realized he had a soul weapon himself. so there was no harm done. Finn congratulated Marv on getting them and asked if Marv could check the weapon descriptions for him. Marv had forgotten about that and immediately tapped his inventory and scrolled for the scythes. he saw that they were in the form of cards that were rotating within his inventory.
the cards were something similar to tarot cards that had different images on their fronts. sadly Marv could only see one as the other three seemed to be blurred. he tapped this first.

she was considered to be nothing more than a pretty flower that could be picked by anyone. they all thought she was simply a woman who could be bought with gold and power...they immediately regretted as the consequences for their actions were grave.

Marv was immediately stunned. he just thought the scythes had a resonance with his system...not that they had some sort of history. Finn read the description as he frowned slightly.
{I know I've heard of this woman before...but where...}
Finn just kept his thought to himself as he congratulated Marv on getting such a good weapon. Marv was dissatisfied because when he tried to see the description of the other three they refused to pop up. he then gave up as he thought to summon the 'consequence' scythe.

Marv thought of this and immediately he felt his forehead burning. he wanted to stop the pain but his hands were stuck to his sides as a large magic ritual circle appeared before him.
the circle was black with strange ancient writings written in a star formation. the star spun within the enlargening black circle before more ancient texts started appearing along the circle's circumference. Finn had stepped back and Brianna had hidden under a blanket.
after a few moments, the air above the circle seemed to blur as a figure was appearing. the figure was first completely pitch black and was similar to a woman.
suddenly the figure seemed to laugh as Marv felt a connection between him and the figure is formed. it took two minutes before the figure started looking more and more like a woman. she finally finished forming and stepped on the ground while giving a curtsy.
"I greet his majesty."
the woman stood up to reveal herself. she was a woman of average height, her hair was completely red and seemed to flow all the way down to her waist, her fingers were slender and detailed as she lifted her black skirt. her face was extremely cute with a button nose and slightly chubby cheeks. her eyes were like an endless tunnel of black.
Marv felt like as if he should respond to her but then he felt the words he was supposed to say feel his mind.
"It is nice to meet you...I am Marvin Rheede and the current 'death' I hereby wish to form a contract with you..."
the woman seemed to be slightly surprised as her voice immediately became sweet sounding.
"yes, your majesty...I Angelina Evangeline hereby agree to form a contract with you...through sickness and in health, through war and peace I shall not leave your side..."
Marv felt the connection between him and this woman immediately enlarge as he couldn't help but frown. how did he know what to say...could it have been Pale? Marv called for Pale and asked how he knew what to say. Pale sounded amused as he told Marv that it was a result of being the new 'death' and nothing more.
Marv just rolled with it as he looked the woman up and down.
she was at the very least a C cup and a few strands of hair covered her forehead. her dress was completely black and had long sleeves. she was also looking him up and down.
{it seems my master has some charm to him...hmm this will be interesting.}
