Stirring up the pot Lianna turned to the living room to sit down on the couch and rest her head, she didn't realize it until she woke up that she had taken a nap. When she woke she saw Damien sitting on the table before her holding a hot cup of black tea and a salad with salmon on the side. Damien couldn't help but once again become entangled in this women's beauty, what was it about this girl that made him lose all sense in the things around him, but it wasn't just Damien, Lianna was like this too she tried her best to hold herself and keep it together.
"oh thank you so much Damien really I can't thank you enough you have been so kind"
He only stared at her with a blank expression
"Before you get the wrong idea of me I just want you to know that I am not kind like you think I am, so please don't call me that, you are not from here so I will let you off with a warning but to my people, I am nothing more than a hardhearted brute who will be the reason for humanities demise, hehe"
Lianna couldn't say much she just continued eating the dinner this man has prepared for her, but hearing him call himself those awful names was painful for her to hear, but what could she say, she didn't really know him.
"I don't think you are" Lianna was a little shocked at herself but she felt a feeling of relief
"What did I just say" Damiens voice was now a whisper and hard.
"doesn't matter, first impressions, you took me in when it was cold, you saw me passed out on the snow and offered to cook me dinner, you are going to be a king yet you are not egotistical like one, that's all I need to know that deep down you are good but you keep seeing yourself how others see you and you know that's not who you are deep down too but if everyone else is saying it then it must be true"
The room was really filled with silence and awkward tension. Damien gaped at what Lianna said. Was she really wrong though? All Damiens father cares about is continuing the family's wealth and power over this kingdom and yet Damien is nothing like him.
"how- how.. would you know, how could you understand unless-"
Lianna's face read. Upset, and distressed like there was a secret she couldn't help but need to spill. She needed to tell someone she just needed to talk to someone who might get it, and that person was sitting right in front of her.
"I um.. ok the real reason I was wandering around was that I ran away from home....you see my parents aren't really the best-"
"wait, don't say anything else, you don't need to continue if you don't want to Lillie"
"Thank you" Lianna whispered as she looked down at her food, while a smirk escaped from her lips
The two ate the rest of their dinner when it was time to bed. Lianna didn't know what to do she had nowhere to go, a part of her wanted to ask Damien to stay but she felt like it would be rude to ask since they just met but...
"look it's way too cold outside and if you ran away then you don't have anywhere to go so....stay if you would like" Damiens's voice sounded softer now and daring
Before Lianna could respond Damien stood up to clean up the table, and after he walked over to the brown couch and pulled off the cushions to release a bed from underneath. He set some cozy bed sheets on the mattress and turned on the tv for her.
"what do you like to watch?"
"I'm kinda in the mood for a horror movie"
"a horror movie hehe you sure" a smirk escaped his lips as he was amused to hear this girl say she wanted to watch a horror movie especially right after what happened to her in that blizzard. 'this woman was really something' Damien thought to himself. After Lianna was situated Damien then went upstairs to get himself comfortable for the night.
