So bored of sitting and sipping tea, Hyousuke stood up and looked around. "Where are you heading to?" The mage asked in confusion. "Nowhere. It's not like I know this place, for some reason its prince just wants to sit and sip tasteless liquids instead of showing his new warrior around" Hyousuke spoke, mocking the prince. The mage laughed and stood up. "Sorry about that. Your prince is a little bit occupied" Hiromitsu apologized. "What do you want to know?" He asked, curious with the other man's thoughts. "I want to know why you recruited me to become your Warrior Prince. I am quite sure you can handle yourself perfectly, you are a wizard after all" Hyousuke spoke, voice so steady. "Ah, yes. Why don't we talk while we walk around the castle? I'll explain everything then" The mage paused. "Yui, would you mind cleaning this table? The new Warrior and I have plans to do"
Both princes walked away as the servant took care of the frozen table. "So, explain now" Hyousuke uttered, so impatient for the answer. "Now, now Kuro-shi. Don't be so restless. There are a lot of things you need to know" The Warrior just huffed in response. "The reason I need a Warrior Prince, is for protection. Though not really for protection, more like assistance for these enemies of mine" The Warrior glanced at the mage with interest as he heard the word 'enemy'. "You seem interested" The mage pointed out, mocking the warrior. "Just continue" So restless. The mage thought. "The Dark Mages" Hyousuke gave another glance. He heard the moon prince spoke of this earlier when he arrived. Does it have to do something with him? His head filled with questions. "There are two types of magicians in our land. Dark Mages and Light Mages. The ones that reside in my kingdom are Light Mages. We use strong magic that connects with the light. Protection and barriers are our fields of magic. While Dark Mages are for fighting and attacking, defending both kingdoms and kinds" The mage paused, somehow became gloomy. "But, a few years ago, the Dark Mages started to attack our kingdom. They are not specifically targeting my subjects instead they are targeting me. Though I am the most powerful in our land, these mages have abilities I do not possess"
"And what are these abilities?" The Warrior asked, now interested in the story. "Abilities of a ninja, like you" The mage smiled, looking up the tall warrior. "So you think I can defeat these mages even without magic because I am the same as them?" Hyousuke asked for confirmation. "Yes. These mages do not usually use their magic, they use their sword skills. My defenses do not match with them and these dark mages are taking the whole kingdom by stealing the shadows and souls of my subjects and turning them into evil dark mages. Though they might use their magic against you, I am still here and be a help"
"That's not so hard. When do these dark mages attack?" The warrior asked, excited for his role in this land. "Now, now Warrior Prince. You must know the routes of the kingdom before I tell you more about them. Those mages know this castle-like the back of their hands, they have been attacking us since my younger days. You must know the laws of my kingdom and certainly, I must know more about my warrior" The mage smirked. "Well, it wouldn't be fair if you know about me but I don't know anything about you. Why don't we exchange questions or answers then" The warrior spoke with interest "I suppose that's alright. Why don't I give you a tour of my kingdom first, then I shall start my interrogation on you later on"
"Alright" Was the only answer of the Warrior. "Why don't we began at the very entrance of the Kingdom!" Suggested the mage. "But isn't that far from here?" So stunned about everything, the warrior asked. "Oh, Kuro-shi" The warrior flinched with the name. "I'm a magician, I can use my magic to teleport us to the very gate of Hikari" Hiromitsu laughed, so amused by the clueless warrior. The mage closed his eyes, whispering words and incantations that Hyousuke could not understand. A tall staff with a blue sapphire on the very top, with gold decors surrounding it, appeared to the right hand of the mage. Hyousuke, who was standing a few feet away from the mage, too awkward with him, was ordered to come closer to the mage. "Kuro-shi, I won't be able to teleport you with me if you are standing too far" The warrior just sighed with visible annoyance and stood near the mage. The mage, who apparently does not know what personal space is, clung on to the warrior's shoulder. The warrior, on the other hand, was about to shove the mage away from him, unfortunately, the mage has already begun to use his magic.
"Well then, Warrior Prince Kuro-shi, welcome to Hikari of Kōri!" The mage spoke as they arrived at the frosted blue gate of the kingdom. As the two royalties entered the gate, Hyousuke shuddered. He felt uneasy about the surroundings. Noticing the expression the warrior made, the mage laughed. "Are you not used to this kind of magic?" The warrior glanced towards the mage, so confused about what he meant with his question. "You have a princess in your land. Does she not use magic?" The mage continued to ask as their feet stomp to the cold and soft layers of snow, leaving footprints and tracks behind them. "She does. I can feel a barrier surrounding this place but it's not the same as ours" Hyousuke spoke with uneasiness. "Your land has a barrier?"
"You said you'll interrogate me after the tour?" The warrior frowned behind the mage and stopped his tracks. The prince did the same and laughed. "You are right. Say, why don't we exchange our answers to this question right now. I will tell you why this place has a barrier and you will tell me why your land also has its barrier" The warrior scoffed. "And why would I do that?" The mage prince smirked. "You seem interested" The ridiculous smile appeared again. Masking his feelings. With just a little glance, the warrior again felt so revolted. Why is that smile bothering me so much, he wondered to himself. Trying not to think out loud as he does not want this strange prince asking about things like these. I'm sure he doesn't have this kind of magic.
"Alright. Tsukuyomi uses her strong magical ability by placing a barrier around Mirai, preventing some attackers from getting to our land. What about this?" He answered with a calm and stern voice. This wasn't much a private thing to talk about. The Nihon's barrier is already known by so many. This did not bother the warrior prince. "Hmm. Same as yours, but also to prevent the land from turning to a winter wasteland. Which you do not really need to know the history of this land" He smiled again. The warrior felt he was concealing a lie. That smile, that damn smile is obviously fake. He thought. "I did not expect a land like Nihon has its own enemies" The mage, curious about these enemies, glanced towards the warrior with a smile telling him about his curiosity. "Like I'd tell you about them" The Warrior scoffed and nudged the mage's forehead with his finger. "Fair enough" The mage whispered.
