Chereads / No More Lies, My Prince / Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

In just a day, numerous things occurred. An unexpected person came to Hiromitsu's life. Does the mage take pleasure in it? He certainly does. Though he is having a hard time accepting it or he vowed to himself to never ratify these moments that his warrior had given him.

Numerous days have gone. The mage predicted more and more of the enemies to arise and attack the Lights at night. Surprisingly, not even a single dark entity came. This did not make the mage prince feel pleased with their actions. The dark mages are powerful beings, surely, they must have found out about the unexpected warrior. They must have found out about the Warrior Prince's words just a few nights ago. Hiromitsu sat still on his blue leather chair. Engulfing every drop of the dark but transparent liquid. He's too deep in thoughts and somehow forgot the other people with him. He sat there, on his royal chair, inside his workplace, staring at a blank white scroll. He is worried. Worried that he might have brought danger to his temporary warrior. He frowned and squint his eyes.

"Something wrong?" Like said, he forgot the people with him. Hyousuke's sudden question made the servant cleaning the frosted shelves glance towards her prince. Hiromitsu's face shot up towards the curious warrior but hastily masked his worried face with another revolting smile. "Worried, Kuro-shi?" The mage teased. "Shut up" Thee other muttered. The servant continued her way and left the two princes with whatever they were doing.

Out of obvious boredom, the warrior stood up, katana resting on his shoulder. "I'm going out for a bit. If ever a dark mage came, just yell my name" Hyousuke left the mage's room and went for a little walk around the castle. The mage already gave him a little tour around the frosted castle after that night. It was quite fascinating how the structure was built. Just ice crystals and snow. Though he hated the cold, the view from his room and the other balconies of the castle was magnificent. Every morning, the sunrise would shine. It was not hot but it was warm. A very comforting kind of warm. At night, the town would light up so bright because of its various kind of fairy lights and lamps surrounding the whole kingdom. The castle itself is also beautiful with its own unique touch. Those frosted and golden vines are not just flowering vines but they glow. This land is surely magical.

The land is quiet and peaceful. Not so peaceful though. Knowing that there are a lot of dangers and crises outside the gates and this barrier. Hyousuke walked towards the wall of flowering vines and golden arcs. The mage said that these walls and other secret passages shall open if the person has the right magic for it. Hyousuke is now someone who everyone in the castle trusts because of his few weeks of spending his time with other people in this land. He never liked it though. The mage gave him a golden pin, in the shape of a half-moon with an arrow through the moon. Out of curiosity, Hyousuke chose the staircase for another floor. The last floor of the castle. Hiromitsu forbade him to walk up here unless needed but he's Hyousuke. The ruthless and violent warrior of Nihon. He only serves one and only person and that is his cousin. He wouldn't let an idiot lying mage to stop him from anything. He continued to walk upstairs as he is curious about this room with two doors, similar to the mage's room. The door was quite big and in the very middle of the hall. It was the only room there. There were also photos of people on the walls of the hallway but he didn't get to see them clearly. This was his chance to know more about the castle.

That mage will not do anything if he ever finds out that his own warrior broke his rules. Though it was bright as day, the last floor has now windows or anything else but darkness. Hyousuke learned that only magic can turn on the lamps of this castle. But he also learned one artifact that is sold in one of the markets downtown, can summon lights from any lamp of any place. "Seems like right now is the time to use this object" He muttered to himself. He pulled out a small black metal lighter from his pocket and brought it near to one of the iced lamps. The frozen lamp lit up and the other hanging lamps did too.

Hyousuke continued to walk straight and saw about six pictures on the icy walls. Three on the right side of the white double door and three on the left side. The first picture with golden frames was a young prince with long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and sapphire like blue eyes. The Great Prince of Kōri. Was written on the bottom of the frame. He is a lot goofier in this picture. The warrior thought to himself as he continued to walk further. Next to the Mage Prince was his brother. A very pale prince with ash-gray hair, golden eyes, and round glasses. The Moon Prince of Kōri. Was written on the frame. Next to those two pictures was a woman. A woman who has long wavy gray hair, much like the moon prince and sapphire like blue eyes. She had quite the resemblance to that servant that follows the idiot blonde around. The Barrier Queen, Yuki. Queen? The warrior ignored the third frame and kept on walking.

The warrior figured that this moon key that the mage provided can open any doors in this castle. He thought that this key might work with this huge door. He knew it was wrong but he also knew that this ice prince is hiding something. About to press the moon key on the knob, a loud crash from the outside was heard. It shook the warrior and he left the halls.

He went to the workplace of the prince and saw no one. He ran towards the large open window of the room and saw the citizens running around screaming. The prince was nowhere to be seen. He ran out of the castle hallways and saw a figure. A figure wearing full black, the whole face covered and only the eyes were seen. That figure was holding the unconscious prince on his arms with the black dagger pointing towards the pale neck of the prince. The sight made the warrior's blood boil. It confused the warrior for a second but without even noticing, the warrior slashed his katana on the black figure's body and pulled the prince on him. Tightly, he hugged the prince and called for assistance.

"Take the prince to a safer place" He whispered to a royal guard that came. The royal guard carried the mage prince and went inside the castle. The warrior stood up and ran towards the other figures with rage and anger. He was confused and doesn't know what was happening but seeing the unconscious prince on someone else's arms, about to be killed by a random figure enraged the warrior. What is this feeling? Because of his confusion and all the random feelings he is feeling, he felt more anger on him. I hate this. He thought.
