Chereads / No More Lies, My Prince / Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Three days have gone by and Hiromitsu got better each day. Still, he was wondering what the Warrior Prince had done to help him get better. What was that glow that came from their awkward hug? After that incident in the kingdom, no dark mages decided to invade the kingdom again. There were no signs nor messages from the Eastern Kingdom. Because of this, the warrior did not have much reason to cling onto the mage or get close to him. He wanted to continue his investigation about the royal family and the history of the land but he knew too well that he should not leave the mage all by himself again. He would follow the mage anywhere he goes but he would be standing seven feet behind the mage prince as he still feels the embarrassment and uneasiness from before. Should he have done that? He'd always have second thoughts about whether to have a conversation with the royalty. They have not been speaking to each other not even a simple hello or good morning and good night. It was just too uncomfortable to talk.

Though both of them hates this, they thought it would be for the best to not communicate unless necessary. But the two are still waiting for each other to start a conversation but the two princes were born prideful. As much as Hiromitsu wanted to know about that glow, he never liked doing the first move unless he really should. While Hyousuke was the complete opposite, he just doesn't what to tell the prince. Should he explain his magic? But that would make him look desperate. Should he explain about the hug? He was certain he would never tell the prince that he too did not expect that and his body moved on its own. He was still confused about what was happening to him that he did not want to explain those actions.

Hiromitsu knew something about the other day. He knew the warrior went to the last floor of the castle. He is relatively nervous about that. He is scared of what the other prince had found out. He wanted to talk about it or ask about it but he was too afraid that the warrior might bombard him with questions. He was too scared to bring out the topic. Could that be the reason why the warrior hugged him? Did he found out about his past and felt pity? Does he think that the mage was miserable and emotionally unstable being? He felt insecurities, fear and so many emotions and random feelings ride up to his skin. "You alright?" The warrior, worried about the other, spoke as walked closer. The mage just gave him a gleeful smile as he did not want the warrior to worry about him. "Of course, Kuro-shi!"

They continued their stroll around the castle as the connoisseurs suggested a daily stroll. The mage is quite fragile and weak. He is not as strong or as buff as the warrior. "Nope. Don't you dare lie? Are you really alright? Is the poison still kicking in?" Hyousuke held the prince on his shoulder and gave him a worried look. Again, it shocked the mage. This warrior prince is not the most emotional or caring person. What is going on with him? The mage pushed the other's hand away, flustered by the other. "I assure you, Kuro-shi" The mage replied stuttering. They started to walk again and all they did was go around the kingdom.

"Kuro-shi, you know you really don't have to follow me everywhere" They are now sitting in front of the long dining table in the dining room. Prince Hiromitsu on the royal chair while Prince Hyousuke on the left of the prince. "The last time you were left alone you almost died" The warrior grumbled. The mage laughed. "You really care for me. So Kuro-shi does have a soft side. Woo~" The mage replied poking the other's cheeks. "Shut up! I'm not doing this because of you. I am too sure that my cousin is observing every movement of mine" The warrior pushed the mage's hand away from his face as he stuttered. It is the truth that he is doing this for The Moon Princess but it is also because of the mage. But he obviously will not admit that. "You do you then, Kuro-shi" The mage took a bite of his own plate full of food. "Just because I'm not pointing it out does not mean you can use it every time" The warrior spoke out of nowhere. "What do you mean, Kuro-shi?" The mage asked, confused. "The nicknames you moron!" He replied hitting the other prince's head.

"Ow! That really hurts, Kuro-shi!" The mage cried out. "I said stop with the nicknames!" Hyousuke hit the prince again. "Hey, that's not very nice of you. That's not how you treat your prince" The mage pouted. "You are not my prince!" The warrior exclaimed. "You have said that a lot of times and I get your point. You have already set your life to your cousin, Princess Tsukuyomi. You also said yourself that The Nihon Princess might be observing every movement of yours here in Kōri" Hiromitsu paused. "The princess sent you here for a reason and that is obviously to serve me. Do you think this behavior of yours will please The Nihon Princess? It is obvious that she sent you here to teach you a lesson. That behavior of yours might have gone to the princess's nerves. Do you think she will take you back if you're still acting like this?" Hyousuke was in a shock. Though they have only known each other for a few weeks, he has never seen this side of the prince. What he said was true. Hyousuke admits that, but he wasn't able to answer. Hiromitsu left the warrior alone and made his way to his bedroom.

"He's right. I am a psychopathic fool who only knows how to kill but not to care" He laughed. "But that was so bold of him to say that. His attitude is much worse than mine" He laughed again. "This idiotic mage is a liar. His lies are obvious. I might not know what you are hiding but I know you are a liar who also does not know how to care for others" The Warrior left the dining room and went to the tower. The tower where he and the prince had their first drink together. "Hyousuke why are you being an idiot right now! That mage is nothing but a mission that Tsukuyomi wants you to finish. Why are you so crazy about this? Why do you care!?" The warrior screamed as he threw his sword on the cold rock floor. "Tsukuyomi, what is your real reason for sending me?" The warrior whispered to himself, hoping his cousin would answer him.
