The town was bloody. The warrior was covered in blood. Blood of the dark mages and blood of his own. He was quite wounded but nothing a little water could fix. The citizens were staring at him, glaring at him with fear. Who is this strong warrior that stepped their foot in their territory? Though it was unnerving, Hyousuke paced his breath and calmed himself. He stood straight and ignored the glares of the citizens around him. He wouldn't blame them. There is an unfamiliar man walking around the kingdom with an unfamiliar sword and started killing their enemies.
Hyousuke ignored the corpses and blood around him and walked steadily. As soon as he reaches the castle, he approached the closest guard to him. "Secure the land, Prince Hyousuke has slain every bit of them. But for safety, walk around the premises of the castle and the town. Take care of the corpses and blood too. Take those who need tending to the hospital" The guard spoke all at once towards the others around him. "Hey, you!" He yelled. Limping, the prince walked towards the other guard. "Warrior Prince!" The guard ran towards the limping and bloody prince. "Are you alright, Your Highness?"
"Forget about me, where's that mage?" The limping warrior held onto his sword stumbling back and forth. "His Highness, Prince Hiromitsu is in his room getting his own wounds tended" The guard replied. The warrior tried to stand up straight to visit his prince as he was stopped by the guard. "Your Highness, the prince is sensitive to germs and would not want you to visit him like that. It would be best if you get cleaned up and have your own wounds tended" Though it was really a bother and a hassle, he couldn't fight with that. It is valid that the prince hates to get dirty or any place of his dirty. Hyousuke wouldn't care less about any of the prince's responses to him looking like that but he is in bed right now unconscious so he will set his own feelings aside and start caring for the other. The royal guard left and Hyousuke made his way towards the castle's bathhouse. Surprisingly, the place wasn't even touched by anyone. He went for the frozen counter and glanced at himself in the mirror.
"What was that?" He splashed his face with the large glass of water beside him. "I totally snapped. But why?" Another splash of water hit his face. "Why would you snap when you saw that idiot unconscious in someone's arms?" He doesn't want to admit it and he would never but this past few weeks, the mage grew closer to him. He didn't mind his presence or the arrogant attitude and the annoying nicknames and the clingy side of him, as a matter of fact, he liked it. He liked him being there but sometimes, he'd notice the mage's change of mood. He would smile, he would give a gleeful smile but his eyes. His eyes speak differently. His eyes never once showed happiness, instead, it showed pain and sadness, loneliness, and that blue sapphire like eyes, would go dim every now and then. He's always deep in his thoughts. Hyousuke hates it. He hates those times the prince would lie about everything. He hates seeing the mage like that. But why?
Hyousuke yelled in frustration and knocked the glass of water beside him. The warrior entered one of the large stalls of the bathhouse and changed his clothes into something more comfortable for bathing. He went out to the magical hot spring near the icy forest and relaxed within the warm waterfalls. It was really confusing for the warrior, the magical hot spring resembles the ones back in Nihon. The mage explained that the Moon Prince requested for this to be built. He also explained that he was inspired by his distant friend. It's not possible. The thought of The Moon Princess and The Moon Prince is actually distant friends that can communicate through magic or dreams gave Hyousuke shivers and decided to ignore it. He's already confused about his own feelings he wouldn't want that possibility to bother him.
Those dark mages. They are oddly familiar. There's no doubt I've seen them before I just couldn't remember where and when. The warrior thought. There were blurred memories of the same figure as them but it was hard for him to recall it. Hyousuke stood up from his place and decided it was time for him to change and visit the mage and see if he's alright. Hyousuke wouldn't need tending. One of his greatest abilities that only the people of Shunraiki possessed was the ability to heal wounds. It is a great power he is proud of. The young warrior prince was the only one who survived that attack many years ago. His memories of the attack were so blurred and he does not remember a single thing. But deep inside it was still haunting him.
The warrior walked out of the spring sterile and fresh. As he strolled around the castle, he was greeted with respect and admiration from the guards and servants. About time, Hyousuke smirked. Not everyone in this kingdom respects the newcomer. Even though he is also a prince and a warrior, the citizens of this land are taking too long to get to know this warrior prince. Only one of the guards, the leader of these guards were the only one to show great respect. Now that he has shown great strength, he was now admired by everyone.
It didn't really matter to him if these people don't know how to respect him, he has nothing to do with them. But a few weeks ago, he couldn't even obtain one thing from the market as these citizens are suspicious of him. It was unnerving and he had to control his anger and not make a scene. He would not want his strength to decrease because of someone he does not know and because of someone's resentment on him. He does not blame the people because he never really belonged here. They are reasonable.
