The whole reward claiming process only took him around five minutes, after which he left the guild and entered another shop and sold the bodies of Reptilian-Cara.
Without stopping he entered another shop and sold one thousand Reptilian-Cara cores. As for the remaining cores, he left them in the inventory. He also needed them as core material for magical weapon forging.
Finally, he had left other stuff to do right now. Like sleeping.
The next day, after leaving the inn Eden bought some more raw material for forging a weapon. While he didn't want to make some dumb-looking weapon according to the blueprint, this was presented as his first mission. He didn't want any bad track record too.
The blueprint he received to forge was that of Warhammer. Not something hard, but it wasn't easy either.
After gathering every material required to forge the weapon, he spent some time looking around to rent a place to open as a shop.
If he was going to forge a weapon, might as well start a temporary weapon shop, at the same time Eden also couldn't understand it but he had a feeling that he was going to get stuck here for a long time.
After searching around for more than an hour he finally got an empty place to open a Blacksmith shop in the least crowded place in the whole city.
"Not quite lucky this time. Only one empty place in the whole god-damned city." Eden cried inside while looking at the place he just rented. "Now it's, even more, harder to get a new customer. Whatever, I will think about the problem after I build that one weapon."
Eden started cursing at his fate. What's the point of giving the damn mission without steps to complete it. Even the games have a tutorial to run through the entire process. "System can't you at least provide me with a tutorial or something?"
[As the most powerful system in the entire universe, it's shameful for its host to be dependent on tutorials. The host should always face any problems that arise by himself while using the system as a backer.]
"Whatever. The most powerful system?" Asked Eden himself. "Well, it better be after that trail I had to go through."
He entered into the system forge and started the forging process. Heating the metal till it's red, Eden bought it out and started hitting it to clear it out of impurities, then cooling it. He continued this process around five times. Though the process should have taken longer, somehow the system made the entire forging process easier.
It's was more like, building a magic weapon by using modern pieces of equipment. After all, everything in the forge was automated except for inputting the instructions, which Eden had to do himself.
"This doesn't even feel like forging." Eden murmured, but still carried out the entire process without stopping. The magical blacksmith skill he bought gave him an idea on how to run the entire forge hence he had no problem working on it.
Then he started shaping metal. First the heavier head with a flat base on both sides, with a hollow shape in middle as a core holder. Then the long handle. When those were finished forging, Eden began carving design patterns over the head. Even though he couldn't carve runes over them, he could still make them look beautiful.
After four hours of hard work Eden finally finished the entire forging process. Now he just needed to insert core in it. He had just the right core for the job. Taking the Reptilian-Cara's core out of the inventory he inserted it on the holder.
And just like that, he made a war-hammer. Which also meant Eden had completed his first mission.
[Please give a name for the weapon.]
"A name?" Eden was surprised. He had no idea what he was to name the hammer. Still, after thinking for a moment he came up with a name.
"Earth Crusher."
A name Eden came up with after thinking about its task and the magic it was supposed to work on.
"It's a war hammer with earth magic as it's core. Earth Crusher, a perfect name."
[Mission Completed.]
[Congratulations, you have received 1000SP.]
[As a reward, you have received novice and beginner level Rune writing skillset and Earth Crusher blueprint.]
"Finally."
Eden finally sighed in relief. He had been a bit worried since he started forging in the forge about whether the system might reject his first work.
Now that he completed his task he can finally move on.
Ding...
"Oh... oh!"
[New Mission.]
