Chapter 12 - Forge a Sword

"Writing rune is definitely not so easy," Eden concluded while carving runes which he had learned yesterday on one of the war-hammer.

After Eden finished his first mission, to forge a war-hammer, he had been practicing by forging one after another. Today he was practicing on runes writing. It wasn't that hard for him to write the runes. In fact, he had already carved it three war-hammer.

What was troubling him was the runes he wrote on the first and second war-hammer were asymmetrical. It looked more like a child scribble. The writing on that war-hammer was so bad he wanted to puke.

Eden even thought about buying the damn writing skill, but he didn't want to always depend on the system. Hence, he started practicing on them. Also, it was already much better on the third war-hammer. So he was glad he didn't buy the skill.

"And done," Eden concluded while a glow appeared on the war-hammer. It was rune for recharging magic after it's user exhaust the magic of the core.

Just like that Eden added a new weapon in the shop showcase. There were now five war-hammer in the shop.

"There's a weapon shop in this corner of the city. That's surprising."

Customer, finally.

"It's a new shop," Eden replied while looking at the person walking ahead with his followers behind him.

"It sure is." The buffed person spoke finally looking at the war-hammer in the showcase. Pointing at them he continued, "Are those the only stuff you sell?"

"Yes, for now. I planned to sell other kinds of weapons too. Very soon."

"Oh, that's a bummer. I was looking for a heavy sword." Sighed the leader of the group.

Eden knew, most of the mercenaries, guards, and other warriors mostly used the sword as their main weapon. Only some heavily buffed ones used war-hammer as their main weapon.

"Kid, where did you buy them from?" Questioned the leader while still looking at weapons. "It's a bit rare to see a weapon with runes in this city." He continued, "You must have bought them from the capital right, what's the price?"

"First one on the left cost 5000 gold coins. The price goes up as you move towards the right."

"Does that include the core?"

"It does."

"Mike, what do you think?" The leader questioned the person who was following behind him the entire time.

"Hmm, the quality of the metal is really good and the core is based on earth magic. Too bad I don't use earth magic, but Nick can use it." He continued, "He uses earth magic."

Both men looked back at their subordinate who was standing at the end. Then the leader spoke, "So what do you think? Do you want it?"

Eden was looking at their interaction. It was quite interesting. The way they carried around with their subordinate was vastly different compared to the idiots whom he saw back at the mercenary guild in Twinkle town. The stronger the subordinate, the stronger the group.

Nick, the youngest member of the group tested the war-hammer himself.

After some time the group left the shop, and Eden sold one war-hammer.

"I hope all my customers are this easy." Whispered Eden softly, while he knew that was impossible. Everyone was different. So was their behavior.

Ding...

"Here we go."

[Mission completed.]

[You have received 10SP.]

[As a reward, you have received a perfect magic core. The magic core will integrate with the host, after host closes the shop.]

"Seems like my luck hasn't run out after all." Grinned Eden thinking about the power he was going to receive by the end of the day. Finally, he was going to get a magic core, perfect one on top of that. "Awesome, adventure here I come."

Ding...

"Probably not right now. But soon..."

[New Mission.]

- Forge a Sword. -

Today, host could have served two customers, however, because of the lack of different types of weapons for the customer to choose from host could only serve one customer.

Enter the system workshop and forge a sword based on your own blueprint.

Reward: System point adding feature.

"That's a dumb sounding feature. I might probably never use it."

As for the mission, Eden thought while looked back at his own memories of the games he played. "Design for a sword." Raising the corner of the lip he smirked. "I have like hundreds of them in the back of my head at this very moment."
