Chapter 3 - Main use of Inventory is to store the Fresh Meat.

"So tell me about this world. And what's that red area shown in the map?"

[The red area in the map indicates the area that is dangerous for the host to travel into.]

"So basically, I can't travel over at least more than ninety-five percent of the area shown on the map."

[Affirmative host.]

"So do other people too have attributes like in games. I mean you are a system, you should know the answer."

[Affirmative host, there are levels to represent the capability of a person or creatures similar to the games and there are elemental attributes too. However, there are no such things as game attributes. This is a world of magic. If you want to increase any of your particular power, skills, and abilities you are gonna have to practice on it or you can spend SP on the skill. As for the elemental attributes it depends on the core of a being.]

"Oh! So that's how it works. So in my context how strong am I?"

[Right now host can be considered as a novice.]

"So weak!" Mumbled Eden. Finally, he questioned, "What about the creatures that reside in the red area?"

[The highest level of the creature residing inside is beginner level.]

"You mean like that hawk thing, which was sparkling from everywhere."

[Affirmative host.]

"So strong. It was as massive as fully grown a tiger." Shaking his head Eden questions, "By the way how am I going to earn money? I can't run around with an empty pocket."

[Please join the mercenary guild to get jobs. Upon completion, you will be rewarded with money. The mercenary guilds have been marked on the map.]

Eden looked at the map and saw he was still quite far away from the nearest town named Twinkle town, where mercenary guilds were located. If he was to move at the same speed he was moving right now he would probably reach the town in four hours unless he took a shortcut from the red area which will decrease the time to only one hour.

"Hmm... No risk no reward. System I think I am going to cross the red area. What do you think, will crossing this area count as experience?"

[Of course host. Good luck.]

Eden turned sideways from the path he was walking. Taking a deep breath, he finally started to walk through the red area.

All of a sudden he saw lots of dots on the map. After looking at the mark he figured it categorized creatures accounting to their levels. "Huh! Should come in handy."

"White probably means low level, in that case, yellow should be around my level, red should probably mean more than my level," Eden whispered to himself. " If I were to get these low-level creatures and cook them as a meal, I wonder what kind of skills will I get."

"Hmm, I need a weapon." Eden grabbed a stick he found on the ground and did some swings. "Perfect."

Slowly he started to move forward. While tightly grabbing the stick. He didn't want to take any chances. He was moving forward slowly and steadily when all of a sudden...

A wild Litty appeared...

Eden madly swung around his stick, suddenly one blind lucky strike from Eden struck right at the head of the Litty.

Putong...

[Skill learned swinging.]

[Skill learned heavy hitter.]

[Congratulations, you have struck the puny Litty so hard it has lost its consciousness. You have received 50sp]

"Whoa. I am actually strong." Eden started smiling. He grabbed the Litty and inserted it in inventory. He got skills and he got meat at the same time. "Let's do it again."

After around three hours, Eden was finally our of clearing of the forest. He had a stick on one hand and a smile on his face. As for his other hand, he had a stone on it.

He had already gotten five skills in three hours. Swing, heavy hitter, sniping, cooking, and finally collector.

Once outside he marched towards the Twinkle town. Until he reached the... Gate?

"Halt."

Eden stopped marching and stopped in front of the gate. "Please, show us your identity."

Eden was surprised. What identity was he supposed to show? Suddenly he was greeted by the system's interface.

[Please select a job class.]

- Magician

- Merchant

- Mercenary

- Warlord

- Warrior

- Blacksmith

.

.

.

....

[The job selection is just for host world identity.]

"What are all these? Job classes?" Eden questioned himself. He wanted to choose a magician but he didn't know how to do magic. Merchant, "Hmm, can go with that."

Without thinking any further he selected the second opinion. The system interface disappeared and he suddenly had a paper document in his hand. As he opened the paper he saw his fictional identity.

Finally, he presented the document to the guard. After checking the identity he returned the document to Eden and finally let him enter the town.

"Town has gates now!" Eden murmured as he placed his documents inside the system's inventory.

"System, how long will it take for me to reach the beginner level?"

[Host is already at the beginner level.]

"What, when?"

[The moment you struck Litty unconscious.]

"It's was that easy." Eden's face started twitching. "I was scared of nothing."

If he had known that beforehand he would have probably destroyed these creatures out of existence.

Well, what's done was done, he couldn't do anything to change it. Even without knowing he had struck more than fifty Litty. As for the quality of the meat, he wasn't afraid. All Littes that he stroke were only unconscious, the moment they are taken out of inventory they will start to slowly regain consciousness.

In other words, these were fresh meat.
