What would you do in my situation huh?
I don't know what I did.
But the first thing I did was think.
My first thought huh?
My first universal right.
The second thing I did was feel.
I felt the warmth of my first thought.
I felt a hard surface.
Not to hard.
But hard enough for be to be annoyed.
This was enough though.
I was happy to be alive after what happened earlier.
I was just an ordinary student at that.
I wont go into to much detail before I get to what my current situation is though.
Before I could feel the outer surface of this weird barrier I couldn't even tell what was going on.
Now I could sort of tell what was going on.
I was in some sort of secluded embryo.
Maybe I was gonna be reborn...
I used to read reincarnation books all the time when I was still on Earth.
I figured that now I was most definitely in the situation of rebirth into my new position.
All I could wish for was that I wouldn't be reborn as a slave because being a commoner in books meant enough trouble already. Who wanted that?
Something I noticed that was weird was the fact that I didn't remember the outer stomach of a woman to be as hard as the material I felt at the moment.
Maybe it was because I was a child.
Or baby.
Or thing.
I wished.
I waited.
I hoped.
And then....
I felt a crack.
I pushed forward.
I wriggled. I struggled. I tried.
It almost felt futile to push any harder against the hard surface but I felt like I had no choice.
An urge was calling out to me.
I stilled.
With all the might I could muster up I cracked the base of the hard surface and felt a cold atmosphere almost rush into all around me.
Oh my god........ was I just reborn?
I shivered as the cold air around me wrapped itself around my small frail body.
I felt something soft touch my side.
Was it a blanket maybe?
I decided not to bother.
What to do now....
I opened my mouth almost on instinct alone as I tried to muster up words of help.
I felt like I could die of hunger for something other than waiting.
As soon as the thought came it disappeared as something warm and definitely alive dropped itself in my mouth.
Purely on instinct this time I swallowed the strange food pushed into my mouth by what felt like smooth spoons.
I did what I could and swallowed gingerly.
It tasted good.
Salty.
Like a mineral.
Juicy.
I had almost forgotten what food could taste like.
I couldn't be happier honestly but the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that I didn't see properly.
Everything in my vision came out a bit purple and obscure.
Was I simply a bit color blind?
No.
My instincts told me something even worse was at the matter.
Using all nerves in my body I felt around where my hands would have been.
Instead of hand I was replaced with strange nubs and instead of soft feet I could picture what I felt to be hard scales.
A bird?
The first thing that came to mind was a mythical creature but as I surveyed myself more and more, I began to see myself in a much brighter light.
The last thing I properly remember figuring out was the details of my bird mother who had smooth feathers and bright features before falling asleep in my vicinity.
So much for living the life of the future Empress of an Empire.
I wasn't satisfied.
Oh well.
At least I could be free for once.
