Chapter 5 - The Master

Master Mundi ruled the mountain.

"So you are saying that your so called master sent you out to the west for a mail delivery?" Mundi asked with a strait face almost cracking at her smile.

"Yes" I said as I shook out my soaking feathers.

It had been around two weeks now since I left the garden in Oliver's hopes of delivering a message to a so called Duke.

It had gone quite smoothly the first week until the rains hit me.

I ended up flying below the forest trees in hopes of shelter from the rain and finding food.

I came across a cave inside a mountain and wished to take shelter there for the night.

Who knew a fat lizard would reside in that cave.

"For the last time Dove, I'm a dragon! A magic D-R-A-G-O-N!" Mundi shouted.

Oops.

I forgot she could read my mind.

Shes the so called magic dragon of the mountain and the only creature I have been able to speak to since coming here.

Moral of the story, its not as relieving as expected.

I might be able to speak to this dragon, but on terms of communication, Oliver would be so much better to chirp to.

"So what" I huffed.

"Hmm?" Mundi raised an scale.

Or eyebrow.

Or whatever.

"My names Ryia."

"I know" the fat lizard said.

Wow.

She really couldn't hold a conversation for even a few minutes.

If I had a hand, I would slap my face.

I shook out my wings and hopped around the cave.

I found a few sticks and created a nest over the next few minutes.

It was night.

It was cold.

I had a giant lizard staring awkwardly at me.

"Would you go away!" I snapped.

"I live here" Mundi said crossing her scaly arms together.

I couldn't see her clearly because of the dark lit cave but I know that if I did I would be able to see smoke puffs.

"Oh! I got it!"

"What is it?" Mundi said as she laid herself down nest to my nest.

"Can you make some fire?"

"Sure."

Just like that a spark flew towards me and as I dodged it hopefully my nest sparked in flames.

"Hay!" I yelled at Mundi as the spark turned into a blissful campfire.

I could see Mundi clearly now and I wasn't surprised.

She was around twenty feet tall.

She was elegant.

But dangerous.

Slightly purple scales surrounded by matte blue scales coated her from head to toe.

Black curled horns planted on her head gave off a dangerous yet elegant vibe.

But it was her sapphire blue eyes that dazzled me the most.

"Do I look weird?" She asked scratching the back of her long neck with matte black claws.

"If you are weird then everything in this world is weird," I continued. "If you are perfect then everything in this world is perfect."

"You a philosopher?" Mundi asked in a deep yet sweet toned voice that gave off a British accent.

"I want to be" I said slightly blushing as I tried to cover up my smile with my wing.

Mundi smiled as she held out a wing for me to curl up in.

I was a bit stuffy because of the message tied around one of my legs but it didn't matter.

I felt warm.

It felt nice being next to someone for once.
