Yane POV:
I decided to sit there until the man woke up. He looked so peaceful while sleeping, he somewhat resembled an angel. I sat there in peace staring at the sleeping man.
He looked like he had a hard time breathing through his mask, so, I decided to take it off. When I did, I saw his face. It was scarred. His face was halfway burned, it somewhat resembled some shriveled up grapes. The purple burns were attached to his skin with staples.
I slightly jumped back at the sight. It wasn't really terrifying but it was a bit sickening. I really would have to get used to this sight. I sat back down on the chair getting myself comfortable again. I was getting bored and tired from the sitting, so, I decided to get up and make some coffee for him.
I got off the chair and left the staff room. I entered the cafe and started the coffee machine and started making coffee.
Dabi POV:
I opened my eyes in panic. I tried getting up, but it was a struggle. I felt sharp pain in my abdominal. I quickly lifted up my bloody shirt and saw the bleeding, stopped. The bullet was not there anymore, which was a relief.
I made another attempt to get up and I somehow managed. The sharp pain returned and I let out a groan as I grabbed onto my abdominal. I let go and slowly made my way to the door.
Yane POV:
I finished making the coffee and even cooled it down so that the man wouldn't have a hard time drinking it. I placed the cup onto a plate and started heading back to the staff room. I opened the door and suddenly someone grabbed onto my mouth again! I dropped the coffee and grabbed onto the hand that was holding my mouth again.
"Shh... Don't make any noise or else I'll burn you to a crisp." I heard a deep voice quietly whisper into my ear. I squeezed my eyes shut and nodded. Then the hand slowly loosened its grip and I moved away.
I didn't say or do anything; I just stared at him like he was some kind of ghost. I kept staring at him non-stop, just standing there in shock. At this point I didn't even care that the coffee was spilled everywhere and that the white cup was shattered on the floor.
"Where am I?" The man asked in a harsh and husky tone. He looked like he was in pain. I looked down and just stared at the floor. "You're in Puri Coffee's staff room." I said somewhat scared. The man just groaned and sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall. "Uh... H-How's your wound?" I stuttered. The man looked down at his wound and back at me. "What's your quirk?" He asked out of the blue. My eyes opened as I stood there not knowing what to say.
I didn't answer the man, and just stood there. Then I managed to saw, "I... I'm quirkless." I tried to hide my face. When I lied my face would turn flush bright red; genetics. The man didn't say anything. He just looked at the coffee spilled all over the floor and the shattered cup pieces. He just sighed and started getting up.
"I have to go now." He said with a groan. "W-Wait!" I blurted out. "I mean... you're still wounded and I think you should rest a bit more. You lost quiet a lot of blood and... I think you need to stay a bit longer and rest." I quickly said.
"I'm fine. Don't worry." Was all the man said. His face was expressionless. "Where'd you put my mask?" The man asked with visible annoyance in his voice. "I left it at the table over there." I said while quickly making my way towards the table to get his mask. I quickly picked up the mask and his jacket before handing it to the man. My hands brushed his cold ones which sent shivers down my spine.
The man put on his mask, then his jacket which he zipped up afterwards. I led the way towards the exit and as he was about to leave I grabbed onto his jacket and said, "My name is Yane Yuu, please check into our cafe sometime, you'll always be welcomed with open arms. You should also drink some pomegranate juice, it helps restore blood." The man nodded and left.
The man walked further and further away, until I no longer saw him. I let out a long sigh and then suddenly I felt someone jump onto me and rub my head. "Good morning, Yane!" I knew who it was by the voice. "Hehe, good morning, Fuka!" I returned her greetings. "Who was that? You're boyfriend? What's his name? How old is he? How tall is he? When did you guys meet? Where did you guys meet?" The curious female asked out of the blue.
"Hey, hey. Chill out" I said trying to calm Fuka down. "He's just a passer by, I just helped him out a second ago that's it." I cleared things up.
"Awww, bummer. I thought my baby girl finally got herself a mans." She said with a sigh. I just chuckled at her silliness and opened the door for both of us. "Is Itsu running late today?" I asked in a concerned tone. "I mean he usually comes at the same time as you." I added.
"Oh, he called me and said that he slept in and that he'd be here 5-10 minutes late." I just smiled and as I walked behind Fuka towards the staff room. "You're here early. Any special occasion?" She asked as she opened the door. "Wait!" I practically screamed. She looked confused at my actions. "Is everything okay?" I just looked down before saying, "I broke another cup... Well it wasn't really me, I mean it was me but someone scared me so I dropped the cup and I haven't cleaned up yet." I quickly said squeezing my eyes shut.
All Fuka did was laugh and flick my forehead. "You're still the same old clumsy you." She said with a giggle. "Please don't tell Ms. Aoi. What will you do if she fires me." I said trying to make a joke. I knew that she wouldn't tell on me. "Hmmmm, what do I get in return?" She said in a day dreamy voice.
"Fukaaaaaaaaa." I said in a whiny voice. "We were friends since this cafe started and we've been through so muchhhhh~" I said holding onto my heart, gesturing that I was hurt. "I thought you were my best friend." I said putting on my best acting skills, still acting hurt.
"Only under one condition." Fuka said holding up a finger. I finally gave in and said, "Fine... what is it?" I said straightening my back and getting ready for another crazy 'condition.'
"You need to get a partner for valentines day~" She said in a lovey dovey voice. "Wha-" I was interrupted by Fuka press a finger onto my lip, shushing me up, "Sh sh sh sh sh," she let her finger down before continuing, "What I mean is, you need to get a boyfriend before valentine and it doesn't matter who it is or how you get them. If you need my help, I could set you up on some blind dates. Keep in mind that I also have a lot of guy friends who are looking for a pretty lady like yourself." She said with a wink. I sighed and just nodded in disappointment.
"But valentines day is in like, 3 weeks. It's impossible to get a date by then. Can you change things up a bit?" I argued, but Fuka wouldn't budge so I gave in. "Fine..." I said in an upset tone.
Then the entrance door swung open revealing a man with a heated up and red face; huffing for air. "I made it." The voice said. Fuka ran towards the man and gave him a friendly hug. "Itsu!!! You made it! I have news for you!!!!" She said in a overly energetic voice. "Yane will finally get herself a mans!" The man looked at me with shock and started laughing. "You?! Incredible!" Itsu teased.
It wasn't new to me though, I was always a victim of his bullying. "Heh! Says the one without a girlfriend." I fired back sticking my tongue out. "Anyways, we only have 10 more minutes till the opening." I warned.
After cleaning up the coffee mess and my coworker changing into their uniforms, we were ready to go. I opened the doors and several costumers came in. We served them their coffee and got the money and this continued on for a while.
