Chapter 3 - The First Blind Date

Yane POV:

I was running late for my first blind date! It was a Sunday and I completely forgot about the date. I quickly grabbed my purse and phone before putting on some high-heels and running out the door and locking it behind.

I quickly ran down the stairs and opened the main door of the building, quickly running out. It was a struggle running in heels, so, I sprained my ankle here and there.

I managed to arrive at the cat cafe in 10 minutes. I stood in front of the entrance panting, before coming in and being greeted by a lady. She led me into the dining area and there I stood.

I walked in and there were a lot of tables and costumers. I looked around to find my date. According to Fuka he was a tall, slim man. He'd be wearing a plain black t-shirt, and black ripped jeans, with a shirt tied around his waist. He had a cross earring and some other earrings. He did have a great sense of style and I liked it.

I looked around a bit more and saw someone who fell into the description. I walked over , while trying to calm my nervous self down. I then stood in front of him and bowed down for no reason. "Are you Kiyoshi Koi?" I asked nervously, still keeping my head down. I felt the man stand up from his seat and put a hand under my chin.

"Then you must be Yane Yuu." He said lifting up my head, still holding onto my chin. "It's nice to meet you." I said, staring into his crimson red eyes. He nodded with a small smirk and led to to the chair in front of him. He pulled back the chair and directed me to sit down, and I did.

He sat back down on the opposite side of the table and now we were facing each other in awkward silence. "Sorry if I act weird... I umm... I'm not that experienced." I said rubbing the back of my neck with a sheepish smile.

"It's fine, I'm not that experienced either." He said with a comforting smile. I couldn't help but blush a bit. He had black hair which were wavy, and he had a double bang. Some hair fell onto his face which he kept brushing off. We sat there in an awkward silence before he started a conversation, "So you like cats?" He asked. I nodded before saying, "I really do. They're really cute." I said with a bright smile. "What about you?" I asked. "I think they're cute. They're great listeners." He said with a nervous chuckle. I smiled at that and our conversation continued.

We played with the cats and hung out in the park and talked. Then our date came to an end. I was tired and so was he. Kiyoshi walked me home. "Well this is my stop. Thanks for the day." I said while looking though my purse for the keys. "I'll be heading in now, thanks aga-" I stopped when I felt a pair of soft lips on my cheek. I blushed and was lost in my thoughts.

The lips left my cheek and the man looked at me and smiled, "I'll get going now, thanks for the day. I'll stop by at the your shop tomorrow." He turned around and headed out with his hands tucked into his pocket.

I just stood there in front of my door, cupping my own cheek where the kiss was planted. I just stood there thinking about what happened. Then after a while of standing there, wondering n my own thoughts I regained my conciseness and unlocked the door and walked in.

I took off my shoes and turned on the light. I walked through the kitchen and then into my room. I gently placed my purse on my bed and started stripping down and putting on a plain white t-shirt and some jeans. I walked into my bathroom and washed my hands and looked into the mirror. My face was still flushing red from the kiss.

I sighed and decided to call Fuka and fill her in on the date's details. I walked back into my room and pulled out my phone from the purse and dialed her number.

I phone rang for a while before Fuka picked up and started screeching in excitement. "So? How'd it go? He's the hottest guy I know." I shrugged and said, "Do you wanna meet up at the park? I think it's better to talk face-to-face."

I heard her huff from the other side before saying, "Fine, but you need to tell me everything. Let's meet up at our usual spot." I nodded before hanging up.

I took my purse and phone before heading back out. I put on some socks and my everyday sneakers on before locking the door behind me.

Soon I arrived at the park where Fuka and I usually met up. I walked around the park to get to out usual bench. She was already there sitting there tapping her feet. I walked over to her and sat down, she gave me a tight hug before letting go and squealing again. "So? Tell me everything. Even the slightest details, but before that tell me what you thought about him." I looked at her and sighed. "He was a cool guy, I like his personality and style. He looks badass. We have a few things in common and overall he was a great person, but I don't think he's the one. He's a bit too forward I guess." I finished. "Oh. My. God. Did he kiss you?" She asked with a shocked face. "Just on the cheeks, but I mean it was our first date and I don't know.... He said that he isn't experienced." I added.

"Well it is your choice. I do have other cards up my sleeve. It's the first one. So, how'd the date go? I think he said you'd be at a cat cafe." She said comforting me but still keeping up her silliness. "The date went well. We weren't that awkward, and he was a gentleman. We started at a cat cafe then we left, and went to a park nearby. He got me ice cream and we talked for a really long time." I said.

She just nodded rubbing her chin before saying, "Give a rating out of 1-5 for how the date went, for Kiyoshi himself, and overall."

I thought for a while before deciding my numbers, "The date was a perfect 5 out of 5. Kiyoshi was a 4 out of 5 and overall was a 4.5."
