Yane POV:
I woke up to my phone ringing nonstop, playing the melody I used, to wake myself up; again and again. I yawned as I stretched my limbs up in the air and rubbed my eyes.
I sat up straight, limbs still high up in the air. I slowly elevated my limbs down before picking up my phone and accidentally snoozing the alarm. I groaned in annoyance as I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.
I walked in and saw the messy human being in front of the mirror. I tried to clean up my hair by pulling back a few strands but it was no use. I took out my hairbrush from the drawers and started roughly brushing the messy and tangled hair.
After a few pulls I managed to untangle my hair and get it to settle down. I pulled out my tooth brush and paste and completed the rest of my morning routine.
I was now heading to work and slowly walked down the street. I greeted the old lady like always and arrived at work in a few minutes.
Valentine was now around the corner and I got a text this morning from Ms. Aoi telling us that we'd have a small meet to discuss the Valentine special events.
Ms. Aoi and the others were already ready to go. They were sitting on one of the tables in the cafeteria. I walked over and sat down on one of the available chairs and the meeting started.
The meeting only took about 10-15 minutes and we would open up in a few minutes. I changed into my uniform and when I came out of the staff room someone, who wasn't an employee stood in the shop talking to Fuka. I walked over to them and saw Kiyoshi talking with Fuka, while Itsu wiped the tables and re-shifted the chairs around.
"Good morning Kiyoshi Kun." I greeted him with a smile. He leaned over and gave a small kiss on my cheek. I slightly blushed at his actions and hid my face in my hands. He looked at me and smiled.
"Good morning to you too, princess." He replied. His words made my face heat up even more. After my face cooled down I looked back at him and asked, "What are you doing here?" Fuka already left us and started helping Itsu around the shop.
"I told you yesterday, didn't I?" I just thought about our conversation from yesterday and remembered his words. "Oh, I didn't know you were serious about that." I replied.
We talked a bit before Fuka came and kicked him out of the cafeteria. "Come in as a normal costumer." She said.
I opened up the doors to the cafe and people walked in and ordered their coffee. We were a well known coffee shop in Japan. People knew this place and came here often. Everyday we'd see the same faces.
The day went smoothly and Kiyoshi asked me out on a date today but I refused. I wanted to spend some time alone by myself in the park. Kiyoshi looked a bit upset but I'm sure he understood.
After work I cleaned up the cafe and walked to a park where not so many people knew about. I sat down on one of the benches and sniffed the evening air. I got up and started walking around the park. There were several other benches and there were no street lights. It was just the sunset and I.
At least I thought so. As I walked around the park I spotted a figure sitting on a bench. I walked over and sat down next to the figure. I looked over at him but he didn't do the same. It was the man from the other day! The one with burnt scars everywhere. He seemed to be sleeping so I left him alone and let him rest.
I sat there in silence, looking at the sun slowly set and admiring every feature of the sky. The man stayed asleep and didn't move a muscle. I got up and walked over to see his face clearly. I stood there, knees slightly bent to match his level, staring at the man.
I let out a small giggle and he opened his eyes. He grabbed onto my arm and pulled me into him and I fell onto his lap. He covered my mouth and whispered in my ear, "Who are you? What do you want?" I squeezed my eyes, just like the last time and just shook my head. He slowly pulled his hand down from my mouth and I spoke, "I-I'm the employee from Puri Coffee, Yane Yuu. I'm sorry if I startled you."
He let go of my hand and I quickly jumped off his lap. My face my burning red as I tried to cover it with my hands. The man relaxed and leaned against the bench back and stared at the sun slowly set.
I didn't sit back down and just stood there. "Why are you standing?" The man asked, turning his gaze at me. I just stayed silent and awkwardly sat down next to him.
We stayed in silence for a while, before I said, "I never got your name." The man didn't say anything. I just let out an embarrassed laugh before quickly saying, "It's ok, you don't have to tell me." I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to reduce the embarrassment filled in me.
"You aren't much of a talkative one, are you." I commented. He looked at me and said, "And you're an annoying talkative one, aren't you." I just looked at him and playfully started hitting him. "Hey! You don't say that to a girl!" I playfully said, still hitting him.
He just let out a groan and I stopped. "Well anyways, make sure to come to our shop on valentine with a date. And if you don't have one, I'm here." I jokingly said with a wink trying to lighten up the mood. It did seem to work, he let out a chuckle, almost an inaudible one.
"Hey, what are you laughing about?" I whined. He didn't say anything and continued to chuckle before wiping a tear and saying, "I haven't laughed like this in ages." I just lightly punched his shoulder and said, "I'm not joking, make sure to come. I'll be waiting for you. Anyways, I'll be going home now." I then got up and patted off the invisible dust off my clothes and waved at him before walking away.
I walked down a different path way from the park and as I was passing the alleyway I felt someone follow me. I stopped and looked back.
"Who's there?!" I called out. Fear was starting to slowly fill my body as I turned away and started walking faster. The footsteps behind me followed my pace and started walking faster. It was already dark and the sun was no longer in sight, and the moon was barely lighting up the dark night.
Then, suddenly a pair or cold hands aggressively grabbed onto my wrist pulling me into a dark alley. As I was about to scream for help the hand covered my mouth and pinned me onto a wall. I just stood there in fear. The figure moved its face closer to my neck and soon started to breathe onto it.
The hot breaths sent chills down my spine as I struggled to get out of his grip. The hot breaths turned into small licks and nibbles. I tried to get out of his grip but he was too strong. The person's hand traveled into my shirt, examining every inch of my body. I tried to scream for help but his hand was still covering my mouth. Tears slowly started to fall down my face. I tried to struggle but it was no use.
I was about to activate my quirk but then I heard a familiar voice call out, "Let her go you scumbag!" Tears refused to stop falling down. The person's hand didn't stop traveling through my body.
Then I felt the person holding me get tossed down to the ground and a arm wrapped around my waist, as another hand reached out to the man on the ground.
"I told you to let her go." Said the familiar man as blue flames emitted out of his hand. My eyes widened and I stared in shock. Few minutes passed before I acted up, "Stop!" I screamed out grabbing onto the man's hand, trying to make him stop. The man did as soon as I grabbed onto his hand.
"What are you doing?!" The familiar voice said. I didn't let go of his hand. "Don't kill him. Please..." I said trembling. Tears threatened to fall out again. The man pulled his hand out of my grip and grabbed onto my wrist and ran out of the alley.
We ran a few blocks away from the alley to an open street and I gasped for air. I wasn't used to running. The man let go of my wrist and stood there waiting for me to finish up. Soon I refilled my lungs with fresh oxygen and looked up at the man.
"Did you kill him?" I asked in a worried tone. The man didn't say anything. Tears started falling down my face again. "You did, didn't you..." I said through my tears.
"He was about to rape you! If I wouldn't have come you'd get raped!" He scolded. I just wiped by tears as new ones poured after another.
I just stood there sobbing. The man just stood there silently, staring at me. "I'll take you home." He finally said. I just looked up at him and nodded.
"Thank you..." I said before we started heading off to my apartment. Soon we arrived at my apartment complex and before going in I asked, "Why are you doing this for me?" The man didn't answer my question and just said, "I'll be heading now. See you around." Then he started walking away into the distance.
"Thanks again!" I called out to him, but he didn't seem to hear me. I just walked into the building and into my house.
"What an exhausting day." I said, before drifting into deep sleep.
