Harry Jester sat on the end of his bed, staring into space. Thinking. As the minutes past, he continued to stare. He could have stared there forever.
His room was a bright white color. A large, azul colored king sized bed sat in the middle of it. Outside, his balcony welcomed the front of the luxurious 3 storied mansion. His driveway continued for 2 miles, so there was a large front yard.
He was thinking about the girl. It had been two days since his encounter with the girl with jet black hair and pale skin.. The girl who had managed to catch his eyes. The girl with moon-like eyes. He knew that only the other kind had eyes like those... Was she sent to spy on him? He would have seen that from a mile away, it couldn't be. Or was she a normal human with the things they put in their eyes.. the things that makes their eye color different.. or for eyesight. Harry's head hurt while he tried to think of what it was called (also in an effort to change his thoughts), Contacts? He furrowed his platinum blonde eyebrows in confusion. He knew he wasn't being followed. He had his security cameras everywhere in the home and large bodyguards.. And his strength. There was another thing.. maybe she got 'kicked out' like him? But that's impossible. They don't have the nature to break the rules.
He grinned to himself, thinking he was ever stupid enough to come up with it. Them. Is it seriously that hard to be happy? Harry felt if that he could be happily easily, but something in him stirred. He couldn't be happy. He was broken.
He started to chuckle silently, amused by his own stupidity. His cold eyes stayed the same way behind the mask, though, never changing. The cold-icy nature would forever stay with him.
But the joy didn't last, as another thought sunk in. His amused smile slowly began to fade as he thought:
But it's also against the his nature to go against the laws. Why couldn't an they do it?

- 5 days earlier -
Jinny Ballastar has spent months in this wretched place called Chicago. Her hatred of it only grew as she found out she had to make money to keep her home when she bought it. She was homeless before, using her beauty to make 'money' off the streets. It took her years of traveling everywhere so nobody would recognize her youth. She has been saving up for this moment only to find out she needs more of that soft green stuff- they call it 'money'.
Her anger then faded unknowingly in to happiness- she was still getting used to the fact she can feel the emotions of hatred and sadness. It joyed her to her spark. It felt good to feel those emotions after spending a good 237 years without it.
Today, she had to apply for a job. She chose a durable job, at Alinea, the most expensive restaurant in Chicago. She chose to be a waitress, mainly because it suits her for being kind and helpful a lot. Also because it pays just the right amount to keep her home.
She got her acceptance call that evening. She got accepted into the job. Sweet, she thought. She thought she made a fool of herself while she was talking in her small
In 3 days was her first day. She was petrified. Her thoughts have traveled throughout various categories, thinking about things she might mess up. Maybe she'll trip. Or drop expensive foods and drinks on one of the poor people. She shuddered, praying silently that it would go well.
The 3 days went by in a flash. On the morning of Thursday, she woke at 5am. Feeling groggy, she ate half of her eggs and bacon she cooked before loosing her appetite. She was more than petrified. She was sure on this morning, she was the most scared person on earth. She got up and took a shower, letting her tense muscles relax under the hot water.
(A few hours later)
After her slow morning, she got in her car and started to drive towards her new job.. Alinea. Terrifying.
She parked in the lot (employees only, she grinned at the the thought.) She grabbed her purse and slowly began walking towards the back door. Wearing her hair in tight French braids, she both looked and felt beautiful. She still has yet to receive her uniform, so she wore casual ripped jeans and a black, tight shirt. She didnt have much makeup on, her natural beauty shows everywhere she is. Her purse dangled at her side as she felt the cool August air.
She met with the owner who gave her the uniform. The owner was named Mr. Achatz. Funny name, she thought. She hurried to get dressed, and returned back, still looking beautiful as a butterfly.. But yet, she was still scared.
And then came her first order. She gulped softly. She went to a table and asked them for their orders.. They took a bit to decide. Indecisive, she thought. Unlike them, she can decide vedy quickly with her strong and fast-working mind. She was also having a panic attack the whole time, so she had to try an act, which she was not very good at. She then went back and gave the chef the tiny peice of paper in her hand. She took the tray of food (she had no idea what it looked like, there was a lid on top) and carried it outside the kitchen. Table 13. She looked at each of the cards placed on the tables before finally seeing the one with the cursive writing, labeled 13. She walked quickly before slowing doen in front of the man and woman.
The man was looking at her uncomfortably, it made her feel strange. She gave him a small smile, and he grinned back.
She laid the tray down and opened it. She way quite shocked herself, the food looked delicious.. It looked so good, the man stopped looking at her. Thank god, she thought.. although gaining her composure and offering them a small smile. When she got back to the kitchen, she was absolutely bursting with happiness- it was so easy!
.
A few hours passed. Her shift was almost over.. she was saddened by the thought. It was so fun to be here, with the kind people she served to. She was happy that she loved her job, it made her warm up to Chicago a bit. There were a few people left. A few women, and their kids. Rich woman.
Then, a man with dark tan skin and beautiful dark red hair arrived with a short, balding man. He was.. amazing. he was simply beautiful. His dark eyes to his long arms and hands.. he was beautiful. Every woman and kids eyes were on him. It suddenly got very quiet. Jinny looked around in confusion... Why was everyones eyes on him?
In a short breath, everyone in the room (besides for Jinny) dashed forward to see him. They were all yelling his name and trying to touch a part of him. His name was "Harri Jasstar" .. they were all screaming quite loudly so she didn't get the name fully.
Luckily, he had bodyguards around him before anyone could touch him. One of them, a bald, tan man spoke.
"Hello there- hey! Excuse me.."—he had pushed someone off of his arm, trying to reach the man in the middle—"that's rude. Please leave Mr. Jester alone."
Oh, she thought, his name was Jester. Not Jasstar, dang customers.
She was confused.. she didn't know who this man was. All of the waiters and waitresses froze. They were all scared to serve him, as he could disapprove of them if they might spill something on him. The thought froze their bodies. The chef was even looking through the doorway at the unexpected yelling.
Jinny, being the only one who didn't know about this man, stepped forward, although hesitantly- still confused by everyone's actions, to take his order.
Everyone looked at her like she was crazy, she didn't mind. It happened normally where people stared at her like that. Either because of her beauty or the things she did.
"Hello. I am Jinny, and I will be your waitress tonight." She spoke in her soft voice, following with a polite smile that curved over her teeth.
The man named Harry Jester looked up at her, surprised that she had the guts to do this. And when he looked at her, he noticed her beauty. His acting skills were amazing, so he hid that thought quite well.
Harry was a very cold man. To everyone and everything. No one has ever caught his eye. At least that's what everyone thought.
He stared at her. "I'll have a.." he stopped, because when she turned to look at him, he noticed her eyes.
Moon-like eyes. Beautiful as the moon. He continued to stare into her eyes.. he was shocked. He knew only angels had these kinds of white eyes.
Jinny stared back. His eyes were as dark as her hair.. she knew only demons had those eyes. Impossible. His eyes were as dark as the ocean at night, with the moon at its crescent. His pupil looked like a crescent moon.. she was sure this was a demon. It had to be.. she continued to gaze into his eyes, swimming farther and farther into them. She didn't break the gaze for another minute before remembering where and who she was.
She cleared her throat and finally broke the gaze which locked her in, though with difficulty. "Whatwasthatsir?" she spoke in a rush.
She was dazed for a moment. Harry continued to state at her, until he looked back at his balding assistant who was looking at him with confusion in his eyes. Harry shrugged.
"Nothing. We'll just leave. Thank you." He spoke clearly, his deep voice surprised Jinny for a moment.
"I..uh.. okay, sir." She was shocked. Never good at acting, she was. She tried to compose her surprised face. Harry seen right through.
"What's wrong?" He grinned at her. The assistant was surprised. Is he smiling? He never smiles. Somethings wrong.
"Oh, nothing.. you took me by surprise for a moment.." she shook her head, trying to gain her concentration back to her job.
"Oh. Okay. We'll be leaving, then." He got up, and strode to the door. With one last glance, he looked at her and their eyes reconnected for a moment, and she saw a small smile on his lips before he turned and the last thing they saw was the whip of his long, black jacket.

-2 Days Later-
Her thoughts strayed to him.. again! He was all Jinny could think about. Harry Jester.. he's for sure a demon. But why would a demon break the rules?
Her small, white home sat on the peak of a hill. Not far from Chicago, but it still had a bit of wildlife and trees near it. Mostly plains.
Demons have a cold nature. With no feelings. Was it really that hard to hate someone? He looked at her like she was the most prized thing. She still kept his expression before he left in mind.
There must be another reason. That doesnt make sense... Jinny has lived her Angel life knowing all the laws. Which one could he possibly break? It can't be that hard to hate someone.
