"Karin, are you sure you can be ready if you ever receive a tantrum from Edo?" Alea asked, reminding Karin before entering Edo's room, who has been in a mental hospital for almost one year.
"Very sure Alea, you take it easy." Karin replied briefly but surely.
"Karin, thank you in advance for accepting to stay with me even for a while. And thank you too, you want to meet Edo with a situation that is not like before. " said Alea hugging Karin with a very relieved heart. Alea was relieved that the hatred and anger in Karin's heart had disappeared after learning the true story.
"I should thank you Alea, for giving me a place to live and giving me a job. And about Edo I'm the one at fault here. I'm the one who has to take responsibility for making Edo like this. " said Karin with teary eyes, feeling guilty.
"I wish you a lot Rin, I hope Edo can be healthy again." said Alea giving her smile full of enthusiasm.
"Hopefully, Alea, I'll go in first ... pray that Edo will be fine. " Karin said as she opened the door to Edo's room after opening it with the key that Alea had given her.
"Karin good luck, I'll be waiting for you here, "said Alea with high spirits.
Karin smiled and nodded.
Slowly Karin stepped in and closed the door very slowly.
He saw Edo sitting near the window with iron bars, who knows what Edo saw looked like he was staring at a far away place.
Karin's heart screamed, seeing that Edo's face, who used to be clean and always neat, now looks neglected. His slightly long hair and coarse hair around his jaw and chin.
Edo's body looks very thin, with his eyes very empty and empty.
Karin walked closer to where Edo was standing.
Edo did not budge even though Karin was close beside him. Edo's blank gaze still stared far away at the scenery outside his window.
Karin's eyes followed Edo's eyes, it turned out that outside there was an artificial lake with beautiful flowers growing on the edge of the lake, there are some swans swimming there.
"Do you want to go there Do?" Karin asked in a low voice while glancing at Edo.
Edo's hearing was disturbed by a familiar voice in his ears, Edo turned his head to the face that invited him to speak. Edo was silent for a moment, with a frown. Suddenly, Edo cried sobbing and a few moments later burst out laughing while holding his stomach.
Still laughing, Edo glared at Karin. Karin took a few steps back when Edo approached her and brought her face right in front of her.
Edo's eyes bulged, his hands clenched tightly.
"Who are you? Do I know you hm?" snarled Edo in a growl.
Karin stepped back again until she reached the side of the wall.
Edo pushed his body closer to Karin's chest. Karin looked away without answering Edo's question.
Edo stared fixedly at Karin's two bead eyes, then Edo burst out laughing again while crying.
With his clenched fist, Edo suddenly punched hard against the wall behind Karin.
Karin tilted her head so as not to get hit by Edo. Edo repeatedly punched the wall so hard that Edo's knuckles were bleeding, blood flowing and scattered on the floor.
Karin caught one of Edo's hands which was still going to punch the wall.
But quickly Edo's one hand grabbed Karin's neck and slightly hugged Karin's neck as if she was choking Karin's neck.
Using one of his legs, Karin kicked Edo's knee from the front. When Edo fell slightly due to his unbalanced leg, Karin quickly grabbed Edo's hand and turned it around, then dropped Edo's body to the floor.
Unfortunately, when Edo fell on the floor, Edo's left foot had tripped Karin's leg so that Karin fell on top of Edo's body.
Edo's two eyes stared deep into Karin's eyes, and vice versa, Karin's eyes could not be separated from Edo's eyes.
After a few seconds the two of them stared at each other and looked at each other.
Karin tried to hold her body by using her elbow as a support so as not to put too much pressure on Edo's body.
Edo's face looked nervous and then pushed Karin's body on top of his chest. Edo got up and ran to the corner of the room. Edo sat in the corner of the room, covering his face.
Edo sobbed, the blood on his knuckles was still dripping even though some of them were almost dry.
With a little crawl Karin inched closer to Edo. He grabbed Edo's bleeding hand, wrapped Edo's wound with Karin's handkerchief which she took from her pocket.
Edo was still sobbing without any resistance or opposition to Karin. Even when Karin pulled one of her uninjured hands so Edo stood up. Karin sat Edo on the edge of her bed.
"Sit here okay, don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. I have to get some medicine for your wound." Karin said very quietly looking into Edo's eyes where Edo also stared at him with sad eyes. Karin stroked Edo's hair for a moment then stepped out and locked the door from the outside.
Alea, who was waiting outside, rushed over to Karin.
"How does it Rin, does Edo recognize you?" asked Alea with a worried look.
"Edo doesn't recognize me. Alea you wait here first, I went to the nurse's office first to ask for red medicine and bandages. Edo's hand is currently injured. " said Karin with her face looking tired and sweaty.
"Alright, I'll be the one waiting for him." replied Alea quickly.
With a little running Karin found the nurse's room. A little briefly, Karin told of what happened to Edo. One of the nurses gave Karin what she needed.
Karin quickly ran back to Edo's room.
"Karin." shouted Alea calling her in panic.
"Come on, hurry up and you go in, Edo was raging banging on the door. Now four nurses are inside. I don't want Edo to be tied up or put to sleep again. I beg you Rin, help Edo, "wailed Alea begging.
Karin immediately entered and saw that Edo's body was wrapped in a thick cloth that was so tight that Edo couldn't move anymore. Blood was seeping on the cloth.
Edo's voice wailed like someone in pain. Three nurses held Edo, who was screaming hysterically, one of the nurses took out his syringe and was about to inject Edo's neck.
"Do not! stop please! I beg you not to inject Edo. I'll try to calm him down, I promise I'll take care of him. I am also a nurse, please just this time let me calm her down. " begged Karin in a voice that was running low.
"But what if the patient gets out of control? do you want to be responsible? " asked one of the nurses who seemed hesitant to let Karin handle Edo.
"I promise you, I'll be responsible if Edo does the things we don't want. Edo is the most important man in my life, I will definitely take care of him. "Said Karin giving the four nurses the right reason.
The four nurses looked at each other, then they agreed to give Karin a chance to calm Edo down.
Karin took a sigh of relief after getting permission from the nurse to calm Edo down.
Slowly, Karin approached Edo, who was still crying, lying roar with his cloth wrap.
Edo's tears flowed with sweat that wet his face, his voice mingled with sad tears.
With teary eyes, Karin wiped the sweat on Edo's face with a tissue.
"Edo ... I'll open this wrapper, but you have to promise you have to be nice. Do you promise?" Karin asked in a soft voice.
Edo nodded his head quickly and repeatedly felt calm when Karin wanted to let go.
"Smart boy. "Karin stroked Edo's cheek, which looked thin, then she opened the cloth wrapping.
Edo's body has been freed. Edo quickly got out of bed and ran to sit at the end of the room.
Edo seemed more comfortable at the end of the room. Karin walked over to Edo, carrying red medicine and a bandage. Karin carefully sat right in front of Edo, who sat with a scared face.
"Hi, you will be fine Do? "Said Karin in a soft voice.
"After this, no one will tie you up again, I promise you. "Karin continued with a gentle gaze.
Edo relaxed his body which had been tense all this time. Karin grabbed Edo's wounded finger. He took off the handkerchief that Karin had made to bandage Edo's wound.
However, when the handkerchief was released, Edo grabbed the handkerchief quickly and hid it behind him.
Karin smiled at Edo's behavior as if he wanted to keep the handkerchief.
With great care, Karin treated Edo's wounds and bandaged them neatly. Edo looked at Karin with watery eyes.
