"I think it meant that those that are behind this blood thirstiness and book hunting is wiping their victims memories from the living world. That makes it hard for you to investigate when you do not even remember who you are investigating about" Fina said "It's all messed up"
"So, it's possible Mr Walker might not remember who Xiana Kang was? And her past boyfriend?" Shelly asked
"Everyone will not remember Xiana Kang" Fina said
Intense silence.
The silent question was…
How will we know anything else then?
"That explains why her ghost is still stuck. But the trees can remember" Shelly said
"But not faces. Whoever it is still shields himself. If we can find Xiana's record, then we can know who is behind this. How this began again" Fina said
"The difficulty in that cannot be explained" Zo muttered under her breath.
"The Milda. We have to find the person who uses it too. Someone who is good with plants" Zo said
Fina touched her forehead.
"Let's start with Xiana's record first. How do we get into the hall?" Fina asked
Shelly smirked.
"Leave that to me and by the way, we have one last class for today"
Zo and Fina looked up at her as if she was crazy to bring up class at this sacred moment.
"We have elemental class"
*******
Josh Winter took fifteen good minutes out of their time cleaning his new extremely sparkling magical watch repeatedly as if the world revolves around it.
Then, he looked up and beamed at them as if he'd done nothing wrong at all.
"Why are all looking at me like that?" He asked then waved it away. "You know what, I don't want to know. Bring out your disks"
They all did as they were told.
Josh brought out his disk from his magical watch and looked at them.
"There's a very special activity that Elfina have. It's called 'The game' And, this will be part of it. You throw the disk at your opponent like this"
He threw the disk over their heads and half of the class became soaked with water.
Mr Winter laughed.
"You do not give your opponent any chance to recover from the first throw before you do another one. A slight mistake might make you lose points or lose totally. Let's play. I want Aries against Capricorn. Virgo, Leo and Gemini against each other"
Shelly Jefferson didn't hesitate before turning to Nancy Miller.
Nancy just glared at her hard, then, rolled her eyes.
Zo chose Vivian Choo while Fina chose Kyle Kinsley.
They all turned to their opponent and attacked.
Shelly Jefferson knocked out Nancy Miller in a second. Zo and her opponent ended with a tie. Fina resisted the urge to knock out Kyle Kinsley with Ice. She found Kyle to be a tough opponent but still won against him.
They were sneaking like thieves an hour after elemental class into the School Recording Hall.
It took them a good one hour to Succeed.
The Recording Hall was extremely big and books moves everywhere, arranging itself.
Whatever happened were being recorded. Everything was being recorded.
Fina saw a quill writing about a senior who messed with his potion in potions class. The time. The date. Everything was bring recorded.
Then, the paper flew to a folder and entered it, closed and moved to its place on the wall.
The Recording Hall was busy. Extremely busy.
It was like seeing machines in full speed mode.
They treaded carefully not to step on anything.
"This is definitely a betrayal to every student in Elfina" Shelly said mockingly.
"I won't be surprised if Mr Walker checks our records before he goes to bed everyday" Fina said
"All that we've done must be here then" Zo said with a slight shiver.
In the middle of the Hall floated a magnificent golden Quill. The quill was extremely decorated and strangely big.
They all stared at it in awe before Fina reached for it.
"Let me try this. Like in the secret lab?"
She gently took the quill and write-
Xiana Kang.
Her words absorbed in the air in a golden trail like smoke.
They held their breaths for a full ten seconds before the quill began to write.
"No records"
"It's been erased" Fina said, dejected. "Whoever was behind this is very smart"
"So no one remembers Xiana Kang and there's no records too. But, doesn't it feel strange that we do remember? We remember." Zo said
They glanced at each other. The question 'why?' screaming in the silence.
