I know you certainly think why are they torturing us with this class when we've got something better to do? Etiquette is important. Especially for Future Guardians"
They all straightened up when they heard that. Lala began to pace in front of them.
"I know you all desired to be a Guardian but not all of you will become one. Or should I say, will be destined to be one. A Guardian is an epitome of grace and he or she must pass through many tests in order to become one. You don't choose Guardians. Something chose them"
"What sort of test do Guardians pass through?" Irina from Virgo asked
"Difficult tests. It's not right for me to talk of it. When the time comes, you'll know" Miss Slayer said and turned to them. "Some of you will be take taken to AIA. Amenix Investigation Agency. And some to APA. Amenix Potion Agency. And some will be taken to the Cities for different missions"
Nancy flipped her hair and smirked at Fina.
"I wish to become a Future Guardian. It's been my dream since I was a kid" She said
Shelly Jefferson almost swallowed her tongue.
Miss Slayer turned to look at her.
"It's not about dreaming. It's about dealing with the tough challenges life throws at you and some of you are already feeling those challenges. It's just the beginning but whatever difficulties you might be facing now is a sign of some changes that will happen to you. Changes that I cannot tell you. Changes that will consume you" Lala said
Although Lala wasn't talking to anyone directly, Fina felt as if she was giving her a message.
They have been faced with the challenges of the book.
The challenges of nightmares.
Lala rubbed her hands together in glee.
"Well, shall we?"
Nancy Miller raised her head up high as if Miss Slayer just told her she's going to become a Future Guardian.
Miss Slayer stood on one of the mats and draw her left leg backward in a smooth horizontal line.
Fina watched as the rest all moved to their houses before she finally moved to hers and stood on a mat.
With ease, she perfectly balanced on one leg while others struggled to do so.
Zo fell thrice before giving up and sitting on her mat.
When Miss Slayer saw that most of them weren't getting it, she straightened up slowly.
"It's not a hard thing to do. This helps mostly in fighting. When you get to Senior level 3, is that when you'll start to learn how to balance? When you are already working in field missions? Do it again"
Few got it again.
Lala sighed and put her hands on her hips while she gave them a very hard glare.
"You must learn the ways of balance before our next class. Balance is everything. Without balance, you'll always lose. How do you expect to win in your exams? The games? When you are not even trying here? Capricorn move forward"
All Capricorns moved forward at once.
"Summon your wands in your mind and let it float in front of you with one of your legs raised. If the wand fall due to your lack of concentration, I'll remove your points which will certainly affects your Ace"
The Capricorns all gasped in shock.
"I've made myself clear then"
Fina, Kelvin, Rosa all got it right. The rest failed.
Lala shook her head in disbelief.
"This is worse. I'm surprised you are even coping in Mr Walker's class. You have a long way to go. The past juniors weren't like this. They fought for positions but it seems you all do not care if your house fails or not. You don't care about this place except to eat or sleep. And you shall see. Dismissed"
They all gave themselves a surprised look and walked out of etiquette class.
Fina head turned like wheels as she walked inside potion class.
Mrs Knight was already waiting for them.
"Hurry up to your house" Mrs Knight said
Their emblem shone on the table magnificently.
The Capricorn sign of the mountain goat glistening as they walked closer to it.
"Open your potion book and let's begin" Mrs Knight said "I'm certainly happy Mr Walker dealt with the animals. I owe him a hug" Mrs Knight said
The students choked on their tongue.
"Now, now. Let's start. Today's potion is quite different. It's a gift from the Queen herself. She wants you to make a potion for yourself. Whatever you wished for yourself" Mrs Knight said
Different flowers appeared on the table in front of them.
"First test. Begin" Mrs Knight said
"What?! We've only been to potion class once and we are already given a test?" Jackson asked
"Yes. The Queen orders" Mrs Knight replied. "Since it's a potion for yourself, you can do whatever you want with it. It's like a bonus. Don't worry"
Fina dropped the purple flower called The Eclipse flower known for its healing power into the small glass dish filled with water. She stirred it and the flower dissolved.
Fina added the remaining ingredients to it and picked the note attached to the flower to read.
"Dicas, dimas, duviusa"
She brought out her wand and with a slight twist of her wrist casted the spell again.
The water changed slowly to blue liquid.
She hadn't felt any pain in her shoulder when she was dressing.
Her wound had already healed.
But if the Queen gave her a healing flower, does it mean she knows about their doings?
"Are you okay?" Zo asked.
"Yes" Fina replied
But if the Queen, did know, why isn't she doing anything?
It just got her all the more confused.
Mrs Knight checked round and corrected them when they made mistakes. A long paper floated behind her with a pink quill writing the scores on it.
"I see the Queen gave you The Eclipse flower" Mrs Knight said
The students all strained to hear whatever Mrs Knight was saying.
"What's the Eclipse flower?" Kylie asked
Doesn't it feel weird that two students wasn't here?
Fina looked up to see Nancy and her minions glaring at her.
"It's a rare healing flower" Mrs Knight said in awe.
"Why would she give Fina that? There are lots of student who are worthy of that" Nancy said
Worthy.. That word made Fina to look at Nancy again.
Was it Nancy Miller?
No. No. It can't be.
"Stop looking at me like that" Nancy said
"Are you scared?" Fina asked
Nancy hissed and looked away.
