One last slash finished off the Drac.
I had been farming for quite some time. So much so that I had lost track of it, not because of stress, but because I was having fun learning new things about this world.
One thing I learned was that the "monsters" weren't just called monsters. They had specific names that ware assigned with the race. The lizardman I just killed belong to the Drac race. Humanoid lizard beings that had scales all over there body that ranged in different colors.
I also learned that the different colors of their scales gave away what class they were. If it was green, it was a normal warrior, sword, shield, axe, and the what not. If it was red, blue, or yellow, it could use magic, like fire, ice, or thunder. If it was black, it was a tank, one of the stronger of the Drac's that could take a lot of damage and deal it too.
There were also things like Blobs, which were slime monsters. Their color also told what class they were, though instead of black they had purple, which used poison attacks. Other enemies ranged from killer plants to wolves to goblins.
The sun began to set so I decided to make camp in a cave I stumbled across. I had no material to make a camp fire, so I would have to sit in the cold and dark. I took the time to open my status menu and was stupefied at the sight. I was now level 12 and my stats had grown.

Why don't I have a class yet? I thought as I stared at the window. And why have my stats barely gone up?!
I thought about it for a moment. Maybe... Maybe the reason why I didn't have a class was because my stats weren't high enough to be given a class?
As I was told before by the old man, when one's stats reach their peak at their level requirement, which was 10, they'd be given a class based on the distribution of them.
But I was level 12 with no class. This meant that my minimum level requirement was higher than the others. Meaning I would need to reach a higher level before getting my class. Or so I assume.
As to why my stats barely went up as I leveled up, I have no idea.
I pushed the thought to the back of my head to hopefully solve later when I get more insight and experience.
My skills had unlocked earlier. It was just difficult using them.
In order to use skills, you have to imagine the attack and focus the skill into becoming reality. I had found this out by chance by simply imagining what the names could mean, and when I did so I felt a strange sensation, like I could flow smoother. This meant a skill was in progress. I used this knowledge to use my skills. I also realized you could mix skills together.
This simply meant you were able to imagine the skills being used in one fluid movement, mixing the skills together to make a combo. It was a hard thing to do though, leaving me to wonder if I was one of few people who could do it.
Nah, I doubt it, in fact, I bet everyone could do it and it wasn't as hard as I thought.
I assumed Calm Mind did as it said. Which is most likely why I woke up in the world and didn't panic. I didn't know, however, if it was limited. Meaning I didn't know if it only kept me calm under small circumstances, like fighting small monsters and didn't work if I was ambushed by several powerful ones. Hell, I'm not going to test it.
A growl from deep within in the cave broke me from my thoughts, but what really caught my attention was the human scream that followed after.
"HELP US!" It was a girl. You could tell she was crying. "ANYONE, PLEASE!"
I debated going into the cave. It was dark and I couldn't see anything, and who knows how far or deep it went. Another scream from her instantly made up my mind, and before I knew it, I was sprinting into the cave, sword held firm in my left hand.
Everything was pitch black, limiting my movement speed. The only reason I wasn't crashing into walls was because I kept my right hand on the wall, turning and moving with it.
"STAY AWAY!" The girl yelled out. She wasn't speaking to me; she didn't even know I was coming...right? I mean, I had heard that line several times before in my old life.
School had just been released and I was walking home when I saw a girl getting picked on by the three school douche bags. She looked uncomfortable so I went to go help her. I guess being the loner in the class had its downfalls. They all saw me heading in their general direction and one the guys laughed.
"Getting the loser boy to help you out? Must make you feel pathetic to have the kid no one notices come save you when no one else would."
"N-No. Stay away you creep." She said to me with disgust in her eyes. It wasn't the first time I heard that line in that life either, so I simply shrugged and walked away like told. I came to school the next day to hear the rumors of how she had been assaulted and how I had seen it happen and did nothing.
I didn't know where this girl was, but one last turn answered my question. I saw a light coming from a small torch, and along with the flame and the light it created, were two girls and one guy. They were all surrounded by Goblins and Blobs and were obviously struggling to stay on their feet to keep fighting.
