Death soon found that the pendant was leading him to the headquarters of the Penta faction. So, it seems like they were responsible for the dismemberment and capture of Felgin. Did they figure out Dominius' ploy to impregnate their women?
Before they approached closer, he called over two shadow guards.
"I want the two of you to take this pendant and infiltrate to where Felgin is being held. No matter what the cost, you must get him out and deliver him back to Famine. I will provide a distraction for you." said Death.
"Yes, milord. We will not fail you." said the two guards in unison.
After taking the pendant, the two guards merged into the shadows of a nearby building and disappeared from sight.
Death grinned in anticipation for the battle to come. He led the rest of his forces towards the entrance to the HQ of Penta faction.
Tessa, along with her forces, were arrayed at the entrance to their building. They had long been informed of Death's pending arrival.
"For what reason do you grace us with your presence today, Death?" asked a smiling Tessa.
"Oh? How about you return Darius to us? We know that you and your allies hit us last night. Don't deny it as we have our own intelligence agents." replied Death.
"Why would I deny it? You are right. We did attack last night; however, it was to rescue Darius. On the other hand, it was Dominius that utilized underhanded means to capture and imprison him. Do YOU deny that you had plans to undermine the current balance of power on the Council with his capture?" said Tessa.
"You know, as well as I, that I am just a fighter. I don't deal with political schemes. I am content to use my blade to get what I want." said Death.
"What a complete lie. If you weren't so good at political scheming, you wouldn't have won the mantle of Lord of Death. Word goes around, and I heard that the previous Lord of Death was betrayed by you, her own disciple. You are certainly power hungry enough to dabble at schemes." said Tessa.
"Enough. Less talking and more fighting." said Death.
As his words came to an end, He launched several orbs that hurtled towards Tessa and her forces. A force field made of blood appeared and absorbed the orbs, negating their effects. When the field disappeared, Tessa's eyes became slightly red and a drop of blood appeared at the corner of her eye. It floated into the air and expanded to form a homunculus made of blood. It roared and dashed forward towards its enemies. The others with Tessa formed an impromptu battle line to meet the incoming foes.
The battle began in earnest as Tessa faced off with Death.

Felgin was weeping as he observed his index finger getting chopped off by a knife. He had long since lost all his toes, as they had been crushed into oblivion by a mallet. Of course, he had long since spilled the beans on Dominius' plans, but his captors became incensed when they heard how their missing sisters were treated. Especially how Felgin had forced them sexually before sending them down to a miserable fate.
"ARRRGGGG! YOU CHEAP WHORES WILL GET YOURS IN DUE TIME! I SWEAR IT!" yelled out Felgin, as blood spurted from his dismembered finger.
Just as his tormentor was going to start on the next finger, a shadow needle appeared and stabbed the girl in the neck, rendering her unconscious. A shadow appeared from behind the girl and quickly freed Felgin from his shackles. Another shadowy figure opened the door to the room and walked in with a passed-out girl, who was apparently guarding outside.
"We must hurry. Lord Death has begun his attack at the entrance. Sir Felgin, please follow us." said one of the shadowy figures.
"Wait. I must leave them a message so that they never forget that I will come back for them." said a sinisterly smiling Felgin.
Felgin promptly ripped off the blouse of his tormentor, revealing decently sized white breasts. One of the shadowy figures guessed the intent of Felgin, and raised a shadow barrier around the room to block all sound from escaping.
Felgin grabbed the knife used to dismember him and promptly chopped off one of the girl's breasts. A throat rending scream shattered the confines of the room as the girl was forced awake. Holding what was left of the breast in his hand, Felgin grinned as he moved to the wall.
"This will work nicely to leave a pretty message…"
Soon enough, there wasn't enough blood in what was in Felgin's hand, so he threw it down. He turned and smiled as he walked toward the trembling girl watching on in horror.
"Hmm, I ran out of blood in that one, but there are three more here. It should be enough for what I want to write. HAHAHA!" laughed Felgin.
The room filled with heart-wrenching screams as Felgin threw himself into his work.

Elsa had finally returned to the Colosseum after making her preparations to seduce Kain. Not only had she filled her penthouse with aphrodisiacs that she could turn on at will, but she had spent a fortune on an illusion trap. If she got Kain back to her penthouse and used the illusion trap on him, it would trick him into thinking that Elsa was the last person he had sex with.
These preparations weren't even her trump card. That was her power, which she would only reveal if everything else failed.
The hardest part about this endeavor was to lure Kain back to her place without him being suspicious. However, she was confident in her abilities to manipulate and control others. She was willing to take the challenge of luring the sheep into the pen.
Elsa arrived outside Kain's VIP lounge and two hooded figures jumped out from their hiding places.
"He never left his room, correct?" asked Elsa.
"No, he never left. However, we believe his lover left earlier. One of us is tracking after her to see where she is from." replied one of the figures.
"Oh, he has been busy. He even found time to find a lover since we parted. I am very curious as to how attractive this lover is. To be able to resist my charms, yet fall to this other person…she has potential. In any case, finding out Kain's secret is most important. You stole a copy of his room key from the manager, correct?" asked Elsa.
"Yes, here it is. He may be asleep since it has been very quiet." said one of them.
Elsa took the key and didn't hesitate to unlock and enter the room. Upon entering the living room area, she didn't notice Kain. She walked over and opened the bedroom door and found the inside to be empty as well. Kain was not here.
"You two…were slacking a bit, weren't you?" said a peeved Elsa.
"No, we were outside his room the entire time. There's no way he could leave without us noticing."
Elsa was about to lay into them for not accounting for his phasing ability, but realized that they probably didn't know about Kain's secret. Tessa probably kept it under wraps for fear of it being leaked to others.
"No matter, we will wait here for him to return." said Elsa.

By the time Kain finished looting the room, he had also absorbed eight purple pills and brought his strength to 700x. This meant that on paper, he was just as strong as Death. However, if you accounted for powers, Kain was confident he could wipe the floor with Death.
Seeing that it was almost noon, Kain used his detection to check in on Ariel. However, when he saw that she was gone and replaced by Elsa and two other figures, Kain was a bit worried about what was going on. He was about to head over, when he noticed that the three people in his room were receiving a holographic conference call. He focused his hearing to listen in.
"…the attack has remained at a stalemate. This would be the perfect time for us to infiltrate and save the girls down below the Colosseum. Even if you can't find Kain now, it is only a matter of time till our specialists track his whereabouts. Gather the rest of your forces scattered around the Colosseum and make your way down. We must hit Dominius hard to remind them we are not pushovers. My brother Sai will aid you, as he is a bit peeved he lost his chance to battle with Death. He should be with one of the infiltration teams on standby." said Tessa.
The holographic conference call disappeared and Kain saw from a distance as Elsa and the other two figures left his room. Widening his detection range to encompass the entire Colosseum, Kain noticed around 30 figures heading towards what seemed to be an elevator to the lower levels.
"Hmm. I guess it is logical that there is more than one way down and an elevator would be the fastest." said Kain.
Kain would still go through that door he found because he could still sense zombies and monsters behind the door. There were still defenders as well, but if everything worked out, he would make short work of them.
He would let the Penta faction team clear the way first and follow in their footsteps after he absorbed as many entities as he could.
