Lia: "I won't be able to come myself but I asked my friend which is experienced enough in healing to go out and help you. I also sent her your location so she should be there soon"
Eguru: "Alright thank you, we'll wait then"
Lia: "Not that you could do anything else anyways... Talk to you later though I gotta get back to work"
Eguru: "See ya"
And with that they now had to wait once more. It is in the afternoon and both of them are bored to death. Verzo spent most of the time sleeping while Eguru wandered around examining his surroundings and gazing at the sun which was soon going down again.
The forest they were in was quite big and the end of it couldn't be seen from their point of view.
Not many animals decided to live here and the ones that did do so don't really show themselves. Eguru had only seen bugs by now.
Finally, two hours later someone, a girl was in sight. She wore a green hoodie, cargo pants and had blonde hair. On her back she probably carried things she needs for treatment. Only to be sure it was indeed the girl they've been waiting for Eguru got up and approached her.
Indeed it was the person Lia sent them.
"You must be the guy Lia talked about right? How bad is it?", the girl asked.
She had a cute voice and her face was thin and you could definetely see that she was tanned. Her nose was a bit long but all the other parts of her face made up for it. Someone possibly cuter than Lia was standing in front of Eguru.
However - he wasn't interested in girls at the moment. What mattered the most was recovering and continuation of their journey.
Eguru had a rather relieved expression. "Yeah, I'm Eguru. Nice to meet you. You're the person that can help us out?" - "Yes, I once worked as a nurse for some time and afterwards continued to study the art of treating injured humans. Now I'm what people call a ''healer''. I'm Arya by the way."
"I see. I'd appreciate your help." He gave her a light smile and she gave it back. They then headed to Verzo who was still asleep. Eguru told her everything she needed to know in order to treat them.
"Stay back. This process may take a while depending on the type of the injuries, blood type and how much strength the person has left."
He did what she asked for and watched Arya do her thing. She took out all kinds of things from her backpack. Bandages, plants, electronic devices, scissors etc.
Watching her do her thing Eguru didn't expect the procedure to function like that. At first she turned on her weird electronic device that had something like a plug or straw in it and the top of the device could be filled with whatever. She then proceeded to put the plants into the device and cut a bit into Verzo's arm. The plug like thing then got attached to the cut and the machine did its thing.
Eguru had no clue what was going on and was fascinated when he finally started to see results. Just ten minutes later injuries outside of that man's body closed and tiny scars were left.
Another twenty minutes she was done. She disinfected the area she cut Verzo and wrapped a bandage around it. "That should do it. I don't know how his bones look like right now but what was crushed should now be repaired and broken bones are now stabilised. His recovery may still take up to about four months though."
"Thank you."
"Ah, no need to thank me. Thank Lia instead", she shrugged. "Should I treat your wounds too?"
"I'd be grateful if you did." Eguru showed her a lot of gratitude. Without her they'd both have it way harder.
The same event then took place for Eguru but there was a tiny difference. Eguru had to be unconscious for the process so he was put to sleep the time being. Just about an hour later he woke up again and felt way better than before. Verzo was awake too.
However Arya already left. 'She seems like a busy woman...'
"Her skills are amazing honestly", Eguru praised her. "I don't know what she did but what I saw was actually crazy. Does everyone use these kinds of machines for treatment?"
Verzo stared at him in confusion. "Machines? Do you mean nano technology which was enhanced by herbs?"
"Uhhh, possibly?" Eguru tilted his head and Verzo laughed. "Absolutely not. This type of treatment is very rare, even amonst the best healers. I myself don't really know how it works either which is unfortunate. But other than that - I actually feel great man! It feels good to be able to sit kind of normally without being in pain all the time."
"Dude I'm glad. My injuries are almost taken care off too, it might take a month for me to fully recover. But how are we gonna travel from now on? It could take months until you're able to walk again." Verzo noticed how concerned he was.
"Actually, I know someone that'll definetely help us out."
