Seth and I went down to the train station and bought 2 tickets to Montreal. We jumped on the train and sat down in our seats.
Everyone started coming on the train and sat down at their spots. The conductor came around and checked everyone's ticket. Once everyone was approved, the train began to depart. Within minutes we were off to Montreal.
One step closer to saving Khione, my mother.
~~~~~~~
Seth and I started silent the entire train ride there. It felt like years has past, even though it has only been around 12 hours. Our time is precious, and I didn't want to waste one minute.
Finally we arrived at Montreal and me and Seth walked of the train. We got a taxi to drive us towards the town.
We walked around and I took in the sights. I knew that I shouldn't be admiring the landscape and should be focusing on our quest, but I couldn't keep my eyes off all the maxing art and structures. I noticed Seth has looking at me a little with a small smile on his face. A small blush crept onto my face making me look away from in embarrassment.
We walked by all the shops and restaurants making me wish that we could be on vacation.
"Do you like it here?" Seth asked.
"It is nice. I have never been to Canada."
"You know, under different circumstances this would be an amazing place to visit." He said with a slight smirk on his face.
"Ya... but we have more important things to focus on."
The smirk dissipated and we continued to stroll through the town in an awkward silence.
I thought of all the places I wanted to visit in the future. Too and bad I probably won't get that opportunity knowing that monsters would be lurking near.
Then I stated to worry about any encounters we would have with monsters. But there wouldn't be any in a city filled with people.
I spoke to soon when I saw a hairy bull walking down the streets. "How do the people not see that?"
"It is the fog. It can twists their minds into seeing something different. So to the mortals here, this is just a abandoned cat or dog." He replied in my ear.
Feeling his breath made me slightly shiver.
It seems like the bull noticed some demigods present and stared at us with fury in his eyes. Seth grabbed my wrist and we ran between two building into an empty street.
The bull followed and corned us. I drew my sword and Seth pulled out a hammer form his tool belt. We started attacking the bull, but it was fast and strong. It was able to pull my sword out of my hand with his mouth and flung it down the street. Seth was building some contraction at the side and I was freaking out since I was not armed.
I remembered the knifes I packed and quickly unzipped my backpack and pulled out the cloth they were wrapped in. I have never tried knife throwing, and I had no idea how good I was at it.
'There is a first to everything.' I thought and a threw the first knife at the bull and it landed right on his torse. It cried out in agony and a smile came to my face knowing how good I was at knife throwing.
Before I could throw the next knife, the bull charged at me making me drop them. He rammed me into the wall of the building. I hit my head really hard and when it released me I fell to the ground feeling dizzy.
It continued to charge at me once again and I rolled over so it would ram it's own head into the wall.
Seth yelled from aside. "RITAL, MOVE!"
I got on my two feet and ran towards him and an explosion happened causing blood to splatter everywhere on the buildings.
I let out a sigh of relief and Seth and I sat next to each other trying to caught our breath. Thankfully, no blood got on me or Seth. I ran down the street still dizzy and grabbed my sword and my knifes. I capped my sword making it turn back into a pen and put the knifes back into my backpack.
We walked back to the crowed street and Seth sat me down on a bench. We held out a bag. "Ice."
I looked at him confused at first but then realized he wanted me to buy ice in the bag. Once I did, he but it on my head. "You have a bump on your head." I held the ice pack on my and started to immediately feel better.
"Okay, I think we have explored Montreal enough. We should move on with the quest." He said.
"Okay," I said. We just need to find Tamsano Mountain."
Seth walked and started asking pedestrians near by leaving me alone. I zipped up my backpack and heard a light ringing in my ear. I tried brushing it off and it got louder and louder making me fall to the floor covering my hears.
Seth has come back now and was asking me if I was alright. His voice drowned out in the ringing and the voice spoke. 'Save me, my hero. Time is running out.'
After that, the ringing in my ear stopped and I realize that Seth has rubbing my back. I blushed a crimson red and stood up not facing him.
"What was that?" He asked trying to face me.
"It was a ringing in my head, nothing serious."
"That didn't look not serious."
"Trust me, I am fine now."
"Okay then..." he started. "I know where the mountain should be located. "It shouldn't be a long walk. Maybe an hour or two."
Even though the thought of walking that long made my head ache, I nodded and we began walking out of the city.
