"hyerin? are you still there? i'm coming." jimin didn't have a clue that she already wasn't on the other line.
jimin rushed to get his things, making his members turn to look at him, "where are you going? we have dance practice jimin." namjoon took a hold of jimin, eryebrows furrowed with the younger one's actions.
"hyung, can you let me go? hyerin needs me, okay?" he forcibly moved away from namjoon, "if you want, come with me. but please be fast, i need to go there now."
namjoon and the others looked at each other before dashing into their own rooms and getting what they need, all went to jimin, "i don't know what's happening but because its about hyerin, so let's go." jungkook said, catching his breathe from running.
all went to their car, namjoon calling their manager and telling him that they were going somewhere and might be late for dance practice, "we promise we'll be early tomorrow, its just an emergency." namjoon's voice was heard throughout the whole car.
the others waited for the call to be finished, as soon as their leader had put the phone down, giving a nod and a thumbs up to the members, all had sighed in relief.
when they arrived at the said cafe, jimin immediately went down with all the others following him, they of course didn't forget to wear their masks and caps.
"hyerin? is she here? i need to talk to her? please." jimin went to the person on the counter who immediately nodded and told them where she might be.
"please be fast, and tell hyerin to come back to the counter, our manager would get mad if she knows about this." the girl said before leaving the boys to continue her shift.
the boys nodded, jimin took a step forward and quickly knocked at door, "hyerin? are you there? can we come in?" jimin was raising his voice, desperate to see hyerin.
jimin didn't wait for a response as he barged in, only to be greeted by a girl who was whimpering and suffering at one corner of the room, all boys entered with concern and worry filled their faces.
what was happening to her? was she alright?
they all immediately walked to hyerin, some kneeling before her as they asked if she was alright, "hey, what's happening? we should bring you to the hospital, c'mon." jimin held the girl gently before wrapping his arms around her, burying her face into his shirt.
"n-no, n-no doctors." hyerin mumbled into him, still holding into her head, trying to make the pain go away, "it hurts so much, jimin." she whimpered.
jimin couldn't do anything but to hug her tightly and reassure her that she was fine and that everything will be alright, what can i do? it pained him as well, it pained him to see hyerin like this.
the boys watched as the jimin hugged hyerin, feeling pity of hyerin, all has questions in their mind but they knew it wasn't the right time to ask about it, it clearly wasn't.
"we'll not take you to the hospital, but to your home i guess? or even to ours since its quite nearer." jin asked before kneeling down as well to meet the girl's eyes.
without knowing, hyerin was now in a state where she couldn't make images with her eyes, everything was blurred, her breathing wasn't stable, she was trying so hard to keep her eyes awake, but she couldn't.
she was weak.
she was vulnerable.
she is dying, isn't she?
there wasn't blood, but there was pain. it's nice to feel pain, right? it just simply proves you're still alive, god, how she wanted to close her eyes now as she just felt her whole body in its weakened state, but her hero,
he was still waiting for her,
she needed to survive another day,
even just for a few more.
-
"hyung, maybe we should bring her to the hospital?" jungkook frantically asked jin, who was busy driving and paying attention to what's on the road, "she's so pale and her breathing isn't stable."
hyerin's head was laid on jimin's shoulder as the others checked up on her every once in awhile, all were in panic and was quiet as all of them knew nothing can lighten up the atmosphere.
jimin was holding hyerin's hand, keeping it warm as tears were slowly running down his cheeks, why was he crying? he had faith on the girl, she was fine, she's just tired, that's all.
"jiminie, she'll be fine." hoseok smiled at the younger member.
jimin glanced at hyerin, "i know, hyung."
arriving at their apartment , jungkook helped carried hyerin to their house, what they were doing was a big risk, but then it was for hyerin, the girl all of them had grew fond of even with just the short period of time they had known her.
hyerin was gently laid down by jungkook on jin's bed as the elderly said that his room is the cleanest, "careful, i'll go get a warm towel and water." jin said as he dragged yoongi with him.
the others stayed at the room, jimin sitting next to hyerin on the bed as he watched if hyerin was finally breathing normally, but no. she wasn't, it was too obvious how hard it is for her to breathe.
all took care of her for the rest of the night, taking turns in who will watch over her as the other six would be practicing their dance routine outside, it was quite tiring but it was manageable.
"hyungs! she's awake! hyerin-noona is awake!" jungkook shouted from jin's room causing all the boys to quickly stop practicing and go straight to the bedroom, there they saw hyerin who sat weakly on the bed.
"hyerin, you're awake." jimin walked past through the boys, going straight to hyerin as he tried to push back the tears that were threatening to fall, "i was so worried, you know."
"why am i here? i need to go home." she stood up from the bed as she was reminded that jaehyun was waiting at home for her.
"you're still not fine, hyerin." jimin grabbed her before she could manage to get out of the room, "just rest for a little more." jimin said, trying to drag hyerin back to the bed but she kept on refusing.
"he's right, you just woke up." yoongi butted in, "but if you really do want to go, atleast let one of us accompany you, which i'm guessing would be jimin." he turned to look at jimin.
hyerin roamed her eyes to find her things, getting it from the desk, she nodded, "i would want to go home and i can go there alone." she felt a pain at the back of her head but it didn't hurt that much so she just shrugged it off.
"there's no way i'll be staying here, my cousin is waiting for me." hyerin furrowed her eyebrows, ready to storm out of the room when jimin took a hold on her wrist.
"please, just let me send you home atleast." his eyes were soft, begging to come with hyerin, "i can't just let you alone after what happened, this isn't the first time isn't?" he asked.
he knew as he watched hyerin, he knew it wasn't the first time, she was having a hard time, alone. jimin didn't know why he was affected by it, it just had been weeks since their last meeting, but why was he so attached to the girl?
she didn't want anyone, but he wanted her.
"fine, just you." hyerin didn't want to sound rude, but to be accompanied by seven boys were too much for her, "i'm sorry." she muttered.
"don't say sorry, just take care of yourself." taehyung smiled at her, giving her two thumbs up.
both hyerin and jimin made their way to her home, taking a bus as jimin didn't have any driver's license, "you can sleep, i'll wake you up when we reached our stop." jimin's cheeks flushed as he thought what he said was quite not him.
"you should, you were supposed to have a dance practice right? but because of me you guys had to practice at home?" hyerin lowered her head, embarrassed of herself.
jimin shook his head no, disagreeing with the girl, "no, i mean yes. but you're no trouble, we're your friends." he smiled as he patted the girl's head.
jimin was then surprised when he felt someone lean on his shoulder, looking aside he saw hyerin who laid in his shoulder, he smiled to his self, quite flustered with their position, "sleep well." he managed to let out.
