CHAPTER 32- MAKING A QUITE HARD DECISION.

"What do you think? Should I go?" Rin continued after seeing that Ma Roo wasn't replying. "Oh! Rin. Where is your phone?" He changed the topic. "Oh it's here." She took it out of her pocket and gave it to him. He unlocked it and save dialled his own number. When his phone rang he hung up. "Better be honoured. Your number is going to be the first in my phone." Ma Roo said as he was saving the number. She also saved in his. "What name did you use on mine?" Rin asked. "Tell me what you've saved in on mine first." Ma Roo asked her unwilling to tell her what he had saved in. "if you won't tell me, I also won't tell you." Rin then hid her phone immediately.

They walked back while Rin was telling about the books she had read. Ma Roo wasn't much of an elevator user, so they just used the stairs. "Ma Roo, what do you want to eat?" Rin asked him when they had reached inside. "I'm cooking!" Ma Roo said. "I just asked what you wanted. I never said I'd cook." Rin teased him. "Rin, did you just tease me?" Ma Roo was surprised. "Isn't that what you do to me most of the times?" She smiled and continued on to reading. "Rin, what do you think about going to school?" Ma Roo saw that she always wanted to know.

"Me? Yes… but…" She was excited but then remembered something. "What?!" Ma Roo was puzzled she was excited at first. "I am not human." She said sadly. "You are one already." Ma Roo said. "I just look like one but I am not." She smiled. "You just have to act like one." Ma Roo said. "But I don't know how to do so properly. Maybe if Mrs. Hong teaches me I could learn." She said. "Oh! Then if you go learn everything. Will you be able to go to school?" Ma Roo felt scared when she brought up the topic but couldn't brush it away forever.

"How about I stay for a week and then I go?" She smiled and told him. "Ok! I was going to let you go anyway why do you say it as if I didn't want you to go." Ma Roo said. "Ok, anyway, thanks." Rin said. "I'm going to cook black bean noodles." He said and stood up to go cook. He later came back with two large bowls of noodle and put them on their dining where Rin had got to first before hi. "Wow, you came already. Are you that hungry? I told you to have lunch always even if I am not there." He smiled seeing that she was ready. "I am hungry, quit the talking and sit down to eat." She said.

While they were eating, the electricity went out. "Oh my God, Rin are you fine?" Ma Roo remembered that she was afraid of the dark. "I am…. You are here with me." She calmed herself down when she heard his voice. "Where is your phone?" Ma Roo asked her seeing that he wasn't with his. "I put it in my room." She remembered. "What is that?" Ma Roo didn't know if he was seeing right or wrong but in the dark, he thought he was seeing grey fog in some parts of where they were. "What?" Rin couldn't see anything.

"I might be seeing thing like always." Ma Roo seemed like it was not his first time seeing something like this. He didn't care. They all gathered behind Rin into one big fog. Their colour was starting to change. "Ma Roo across the table was watching silently but this was different from what he always saw. "Ma Roo, I think I'll go to bed." Rin said weakly. "I'll walk you to your room." Ma Roo said worriedly feeling that she wasn't well. He thought maybe it was because of the dark. He came to the side she was seated on and helped her up. She walked but the pink fog was coming from behind her now. She hadn't walked more than ten steps when she fell on the ground.

"Rin, what's wrong?" Ma Roo was in front when he heard her fall down, he quickly turned back. He saw the fog which was grey, now red. He ran to where she was. As soon as he passed his hands through the fog it disappeared. God knows how but the electricity also came back. He carried Rin to her bed quickly. She seemed weak although she wasn't actually unconscious. When he put her at the bed, she suddenly started breathing heavily scaring Ma Roo. "Rin, what's wrong?" He didn't know what to do, so he just held her hand more tightly. Not long after that, she had seizures, her eye colours changed into different colours. "Rin! I don't know what's happening? "He was now scared that his eyes became watery. He was confused and didn't know what to do that he just called her name God knows how many times. After a few more minutes, she stopped at once and went unconscious. Ma Roo just sobbed and held her hand all through the night.

When Rin woke up, she saw Ma Roo had fallen asleep holding her hand by his chin, such a hard position to hold but he managed to fall asleep that way. Rin sat down properly. Ma Roo was woken by her movement. "Rin! Are you fine?" He asked worriedly. "I feel fine but… I need to go somewhere." She stood up by the mention of it. "You've got to rest. Ma Roo held her hand. "I have got to see my father...I don't even know if he is. He is the only one who can answer my questions." Rin said sadly.

"What if he locks you up again?" Ma Roo said. "He could when I had my power brake." She pulled herself form his grp and walked away. "Ok, if you are going, I am also going." He followed her. "You can't, you are human." She said. "I am good at holding my breath for long." He insisted. "Whatever, I'll protect you." She said. Ma Roo thought if he told her he'd go; she'd maybe change her mind but surprisingly she didn't. "Oh God! He went and got his swimmer's suit, mask and oxygen tank and put them all in a bag. When they got out, Mi Na was also just coming out, she was talking on the phone. "Do Ra, I drank a little bit too much yesterday. Cover for me if I don't make it in time. I think am going to go to a drug shop first." As she was talking, she saw Ma Roo and Rin get out of their apartment.

Ma Roo was holding a black bag and followed Rin from behind. When Mi Na saw them, she hung up immediately and followed them from behind. "Are we going to take a taxi?" Ma Roo asked. "Yes." Rin said. "Oh!" Ma Roo didn't have anything else he could come up with. When Mi Na heard that they were going to take a taxi, she instead went and took an elevator to go in the parking lot get her car. She drove out immediately with her car and found them entering a white taxi. "Good timing." She praised herself. She didn't even know why she was following them instead of going to school.

"Are they going to the beach?" Mi Na didn't know what was there to do at the beach especially during winter. Finally, the taxi parked in a remote area where there weren't any people. Ma Roo and Rin got out. They went to the sea. Rin and Ma Roo took off their shoes. Ma Ro took out goggles from the bag and an oxygen mask and put them on. He wondered if he should put on his swimsuit but didn't want to take off his clothes. Mi Na was watching everything behind a large tree. "Are they going to swim? Nuts." Mi Na didn't know what the two were up to.

Rin was seated in the sand waiting for Ma Roo, When the tides came and hit her legs, her legs transformed. Mi Na fell down in shock, even Ma Roo who knew felt frightened. Rin pulled herself to the water and Ma Roo also followed. They went underwater, Ma Roo obviously felt cold but could just bear with. Rin noticed it as they were swimming. She touched him with her glowing orange arm. He started to feel warm. He wanted to speak but couldn't speak underwater. "Just speak in your mind. That's how we speak underwater." She said without actually saying words. "Wow, I can hear you." Ma Roo said. (In his mind.). It was getting dark. "Rin, are we near reaching. I have started to see the surface but not anything like your kingdom. Is it invisible?" Ma Roo said. He couldn't see much on the surface except for the sea weeds, some sea turtles with fish and sponges.

When they reached the surface, Rin passed through the tangled sea weeds and went even under. She left Ma Roo on the other side. Ma Roo tried as much as he could to pass through the weeds but he just got tangled in more the harder he struggled. Rin came and started breaking the weeds with her bare hands till Ma Roo was also on the other side. There was a hole where the sea weeds were. If you passed through it, you could see the sparkling sea kingdom. "Wow, look at all those gems." Ma Roo was flabbergasted.
