"Great! We have company." Ms. Bailey said. She grabbed her things and shot me with another needle. "I'll see you around, Mr. Everson." She smirked.
Then she moved a shelf and underneath was a hidden trapped door! She unlocked it with a small key.
She looked back one last time before escaping. As I started to feel a bit nauseous, I could hear footsteps. The door upstairs burst open. Mr. Beal was running down the stairs with Quinn behind him.
He looked at me with fear and anger in his eyes. "We're here bitch! Don't mess with us, we have a gun!" Quinn stood fiercely. Finally they saw me. "Oh my god, Kai!" They shouted.
I tried to speak but no words came out. I looked at Mr. Beal with worry and relief. I was going to be saved. After all that, I would be freed.
I could feel my body drift off. No matter how hard I tried to stay awake I couldn't. I passed out from the chemicals Ms. Bailey gave to me before she left.
"I think there was someone here just now. They must've left when they heard us come in." Quinn said. "Their lucky they did!" Mr. Beal said with anger as he looked around the room.
Quinn began to search the area for something to break the chains with, while Mr. Beal stayed next to me. "Hurry up, already!" Mr. Beal was worried. "I found something!" Quinn shouted.
They pulled out an axe and brought it to Mr. Beal.
"You're stronger." They said, handing it to him.
Mr. Beal looked at me and then back at Quinn.
He stood up and began to swing it against the chains.
"Hang in there, Kai!" He yelled. The chains started to break loose. "You almost got it!" Quinn said. Then he gave it another hard swing. The sweat ran down his face.
"Ah, there we go!" Mr. Beal said as the chains fell off. He took off his jacket and rapped it around my body. Since all I had on was my underwear. He looked down at me as he gently picked me up.
"I don't see any cuts, but yet, there is so much blood." Mr. Beal said.
"That's a little weird." Quinn replied. "Yeah. We need to get him to the hospital as soon as possible." Mr. Beal exclaimed. They walked up the stairs and over the shattered glass. Pieces from the broken window were everywhere.
On the way to the hospital, Mr. Beal sat in the back seat with me. "I heard you sent the two doctors a location to where Kai was. That doesn't sound like you." Quinn said. "Location? Quinn, what are you talking about? I never sent anyone a location."
"Then who did?" Quinn asked.
"I have no idea." Mr. Beal looked down at my sleeping body. "But, whatever it is, it can wait. We need to get there, fast." He added.
Once we arrived at the hospital, I was being rushed to the emergency room, for the second time. Mr. Beal wanted to stay with me but he had to stay in the waiting room.
"Where's Doctor Malcolm?" Mr. Beal asked. "I don't know. He left with another doctor, this morning and no one's seen them since." Doctor Sanders said.
Mr. Beal turned to look at Quinn. "Someone said I sent the doctors a location, right?" "Yeah, why?"
"Who told you that?" He asked. "Just one of the gossip queens. She said there were three actually." "Okay. Do you know what the locations were?" "No, but the person who told me was just about to leave the office at the same time we were." Quinn explained. "Was the person that told you Kate?" "Yes, that was her name. Why are you so interested in it anyways?" They asked.
"Well, if someone sent fake locations, it could mean their in trouble. As much as I hate to admit this, Doctor Malcolm might just need our help."
"How do we find out where they went?" They said.
"We need to sneak into there offices. Maybe they left something there. But the only question is, is how are we going to do it?"
