"Wh- no I-I" "How are you alive? My first subject.. Still here." Malcolm said.
"Well, I-I, d-don't know w-what your talking about." Auden stuttered. "So you really don't remember me?" Malcolm stepped closer.
"I-I don't.." Auden replied. He tried to run past Malcolm but then he grabbed his wrist. His eyes turned pink again. He was reaching into Malcolm's mind.
In his mind it was like he was bringing them to a dream or an illusion. He created a place there, where it was dark. Nothing but chains.
He stood in front of Malcolm. From every direction, there were knives. They we're flying towards Malcolm. In the illusion that Auden created, they all stabbed Malcolm at once. For, a split second, Malcolm felt the pain. As if it were actually happening.
Back to reality, he flinched letting go of Auden.
He ran out of the room before Malcolm could do anything else.
"Looks like you've gotten stronger, little phoenix." Malcolm said to himself. He had a grin on his face.
He turned around and looked at a piece of hair that he took from Auden.
"Perfect.." He said. He put the strand of hair into a little bag.
"What took you so long?" Mr. Beal asked as Auden came back. "You know, my uh head hurts. My stomach too. So, I should go for now. I'll see you later, okay?" He exclaimed.
"Oh, alright. I'll update you if anything changes. I hope you feel better."
"Thanks, bye John." Auden rushed out of the hospital in a hurry to leave.
"That's weird. He lied to me. He never lies. Something must've happened." Mr. Beal thought.
After that, Mr. Beal fell asleep.
"AHH!! Help me! Please!! Anyone?!" He heard my voice. I needed help. He tried to reach out for me. But, then he was dripping in blood. "HELP ME!!" He heard again. He wanted to help me, but he couldn't. He started to feel sad and scared. Finally, he woke up gasping for air.
"What an awful nightmare.." He thought to himself.
"You're awake." Malcolm said. "There's someone who wants to see you." He added.
He brought Mr. Beal to Quinn's room. Quinn was sitting up in bed with their hair done perfectly.
"Quinn.." Mr. Beal said in awe. "Don't look so surprised, brother." They smiled.
Mr. Beal sat beside Quinn. "How are you feeling?" He asked.
"A little sore, but it's not a big deal."
"You got shot. That is a big deal."
"Eh, I'm just glad it was me and not you." They said. "Yeah, just give me a second and I'll be right back." Mr. Beal got up. "Where are you going?" They asked.
"I need to call Auden. I have to tell him you're awake." "Okay."
He left the room to call Auden. "Hey, I wanted to let you know that Quinn woke up." He said.
"Uh, alright t-thanks I'll be there when I c-can." Auden hung up. "What's going on with him?" Mr. Beal wondered.
At Quinn and Auden's house, Auden was sat in a corner in their room. He was surrounded in the orange glow. His eyes were pink too.
He sat there shaking as he tried to calm himself. His memories were trying to come back to him. He saw flashes of him and Malcolm. There were needles and chemicals.
He tried to make it stop but his powers were out of control as he was trying to fight it. He started remembering small details. "STOP!!" He shouted. It was hard for him to fight it. All of it overflowed in his brain.
"Get out of my head!! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!!" He yelled as the teardrops ran down his face.
