"Hmm.. Oh I know! I can use my charm to distract people while you sneak in." Quinn said. "But we need a backup plan. How will you distract enough people? What if the door is locked?" Mr. Beal asked.
"Just trust me, brother." "Bu-" "enough talk! We can do this!" Quinn exclaimed. "Okay, what are you gonna do?" "Don't worry about it."
So, they found where Malcolm's office was.
Quinn stood on a chair with the office on the opposite side of the room. The door was locked so Mr. Beal searched for something to open it with while Quinn was ready to distract everyone.
"Hey, people! Look at me!" They shouted.
"Yeah, all of you! In the back too!" Quinn added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Beal was still looking around. He saw a screwdriver. He grabbed it and started to unscrew the doorknob. It fell off but Mr. Beal barley caught it.
He quietly went inside and looked at the desk. He saw a bunch of papers and files scattered everywhere. "This place is a mess." He thought to himself.
He rummaged through all of it. He didn't find anything useful so he looked through the drawers. He found something that caught his eye. "Kai Everson Subject 02?" He read from a file piece.
"Subject? What the hell?" He said.
He opened it up and saw a few pictures of me. One of them showed my eyes glowing green. He looked at some of the information. "The statistics of Kai dying are 52 percent? His energy rates have gone up? His body has become more sensitive? What is with this guy?"
He took the file and continued to look for the fake locations. He saw a paper marked in red.
"Location number one. This must be it!" He said.
He took the page and looked around for more.
"There's only one written down." He said. He peeped out the door and everyone was still turned to Quinn.
Quickly, he left the room and screwed the knob back on. Then once Quinn saw him, they got off the chair. "Okay, bye everyone!" Quinn waved as they walked away.
"You got the locations?" They asked. "Only one. But, it says it's at a warehouse." "How far away is it?" "I'm not sure. Let me pull up the directions."
Mr. Beal stopped walking. "I don't want to leave him here alone." He said as he looked back.
"You don't have to. I can stay here. But, I have my laptop with me so I can help you. Take this." Quinn handed him an ear piece. "This is so that you can stay on call with me without having to hold on to it."
They added.
"This isn't a spy mission." Mr. Beal said. "You never know what to expect, John. This is a dangerous world. Just put it in your ear." "Okay, but tell me if anything happens with Kai." "I will. Now go."
Mr. Beal hurried into the car and pulled up a map to the warehouse. "Quinn, can you hear me?" He said.
"I can hear you." They replied.
"It says it's about 6 miles away." "Alright, hurry up. Kai's kidnapper could have been the one to send them a fake location. You need to take every precaution. Did you prepare the gun?" Quinn asked.
"Yes, I've prepared the gun." "Okay, good. You nervous?" "No, I can handle it. I'm not a baby."
Mr. Beal said. "Glad to see you don't have a lack of confidence." "Yeah, yeah. I just want to get this over with."
Mr. Beal arrived at the warehouse. He stepped out of the car and noticed there was dry blood on the ground. It was quiet until BANG! A gun shot broke the silence. "John, what's going on?!" Quinn shouted..
