"How are you here?" Malcolm asked.
"I-I'm sorry.. I don't kn-know you." Auden said.
"I-" Suddenly the alarm went off. "It's coming from Quinn's room!" Mr. Beal shouted.
The three of them ran to the room. They burst in and saw Quinn in the bed.
"What's going on?!" Mr. Beal yelled.
Malcolm moved the other doctors out of the way and looked at Quinn. He grabbed the defibrillator (a shock device) and placed it on their chest. He shocked Quinn with electricity.
The first time it didn't work so he tried again.
Everyone was watching as Malcolm tried to restart Quinn's heart. They all watched with anticipation and worry.
Finally, their heart started beating again. Everyone was hit with the feeling of relief. For, a moment everyone sat in silence. "Leave!" Malcolm shouted to the doctors.
"After you foolishly tried to care for them, and almost failed, the responsibility is now my own! So, leave!" Malcolm added.
They all started to leave except for one doctor.
"What makes you think your in charge?" She asked. " I can take away your doctor's license in an instant. After all, my uncle does own this facility. So, I advise you to leave." Malcolm explained.
The doctor left the room rolling her eyes.
"You're uncle really owns this place?" Mr. Beal asked.
"Yes. He's a very wealthy man. He has lots of power, starting at a really young age."
Malcolm looked at Auden with wonder. "Why don't you two wait outside?" He said. "Yeah. We should go." Auden said to Mr. Beal.
They agreed to leave the room. Once, they were gone out of the room, Malcolm took the voice recorder out of his pocket.
He played it back to listen to an old recording.
"S-subject 01 appears to have d-died." He stopped the recording before it could say anything else.
"This doesn't make any sense." He thought.
He took a small bottle with a brown liquid out of his other pocket. He put it in Quinn's mouth so that they could drink it.
It was a serum Malcolm created to help the healing process.
Then Malcolm left the room to get something from his office.
"I have to use the restroom." Auden said to Mr. Beal. "Okay." He responded.
Auden got up and headed near the restroom. when no one was looking he turned to Quinn's room after he saw that Malcolm had left it.
He snuck in as quiet as possible. He came over to Quinn and laid his hand on their head.
"I love you, Quinn." He said.
His eyes started to glow just as mine did. But, instead it was a pink glow. His ora turned orange as he closed his eyes. He looked into Quinn's mind in a chilled breeze.
"I'm here, Quinn. It's me, Auden." He said.
He looked into their dreams and turned them into whatever he wanted. In their dreams he brought them to a hill with a beautiful rose tree.
The roses were filled with little rain drops and gems of all colors. Where the sun was setting and you could see the stars in the sky. It smelled like fresh syrup. One of Quinn's favorite scents.
There was a blanket set out with a basket of roses and wine.
"You're here." Quinn said. "You always give me the best dreams. How romantic. You always use your powers for me, darling." They sat down on the blanket.
"I love being in your dreams." Auden said as he gave Quinn a rose.
"Where are we really?" They asked. "We're in the hospital. But let's not talk about that right now."
"Be careful, dear. You never know who's watching you use your abilities."
"I don't think anyone will see." Auden kissed Quinn on the cheek. A light, sweet kiss. "Please, wake up." He said. "I wish it were that easy. I miss you."
"I miss you too."
"No matter how much I love seeing you, you have to go." Quinn exclaimed. "What? Why?" He asked.
"I don't want you getting caught." Auden sighed.
"Okay, but one last kiss." Then they kissed. Pressing their lips against each other's as a shooting star went by.
"I love you." "I love you too." They said. Then Auden disappeared into the real world. He walked towards the door but then, Malcolm walked in.
"I see you still have your powers." Malcolm said.
