Ignoring the red faced little girl glaring at me I was looking at the item in my hand. It was a spatial ring. Now I may have an inventory but like all good novel readers I dream of owning a sweet spatial ring. The ones in the system were so expensive to have. I quickly put on the little silver looking ring. It took me a minute to figure out how to get it to work. Inside the little ring there wasn't too much space just a few square meters. There was a full suit of white silver armor with with a wolf head engraved on it beautifully around the neck and shoulders was white fur leading into a glorious white cloak with a hood.
"The armor will auto fit to your size and the Cape can detatch. It doesn't come with a helmet as there are a lot of tribes with horns and ears that don't fit into helmets and helmets hinder sight on the battlefield." the king explains as he figures I'm looking at the items in the ring.
The armor can be bound with blood and auto equipped that way kind of like a soul weapon.
I take it out of the ring and poke my finger with my chain. I drop blood on the chest plate and it flashes a white light before turning into a armlet on my wrist. "Neat." with a thought I'm equipped with the majestic armor. It comes with a broadsword attached to the waist and a knife behind the back of my waist.
I return my attention back to the ring. Theres a couple fancy sets of clothes that match the kings and the princesses I figure these are like royal outfits or something. I hope I don't have to attend feasts or something like that. I mean I love good food but I hate people especially the rich stupid kind.
I spot something shiny near the clothes and pull it out.
It's a key.
"That's the key to your new villa it's one that is close to the academy as we can't have a prince and princess living in anything less." the king says eyeing the key. "Clyde you and Amelia have both been granted nobility and will be living with them." He says looking at the gobsmacked face of my dad.
"What? How am I going to explain this to Amelia she's going to kill me." he says with worry.
"Well its not like you hid a marriage with a princess to your son from your wife for multiple years and get to break all the news about your new daughter in law in one go." he says with a wolfish grin.
"I'm dead." my dad says with a lifeless voice.
I ignore him.
Continuing to look in my ring I finally get to the pile of gold it's a big pile and I'll have to count it later.
There isn't anything else in the ring so I turn my attention back to everyone in the throne room.
"So up next is a trip to the library?" I ask as the king gets a bitter look.
"Silvia please take Ryan to the library to get his grimoire updated." he says reluctantly.
Silvia doesn't say anything and starts walking out of the room with her face still red every time she looks at me.
"Since you beat me in combat I shall allow you to be my betrothed." She says quietly.
"Well thanks I guess?" I say confused.
"Your welcome." She says more confidently.
Soon we reach a massive doorway to a room filled with bookshelves floor to ceiling.
One of the librarians approaches Silvia when she sees us enter.
"What can I do for your majesty today?" She says with a strict tone.
"My betrothed needs magic books up to intermediate level for his grimoire please help us fetch them."
"Of course and what element do you need?" She asks me.
"All of them." I show her my grimoire.
"Omni elemental grimoire? one of those haven't been seen in years." She says in surprise before moving to start grabbing books off the shelves and put them on a table.
the pile of books slowly gets bigger and i see all sorts of different magic books in all sorts of different colors and sizes from a few pages long to dictionary sized.
Yeah no way I'll be able to read all of these.
I start using my grimoire to absorb them one at a time. I love how it's just like a magical book of books.
Fire, water, ice, light, earth all sorts of different magics get absorbed one after another.
After about 20 minutes of absorbing it's finally all done.
"Advanced magics are the kingdoms and master mages great secrets and aren't often shared. They do massive destruction on a large scale and the only ones higher are forbidden spells." the librarian tells me after giving me the last intermediate book.
"Forbidden spells? Sounds ominous." I say finishing the last book.
"Well most forbidden spells kill the user and require huge magic reserves." she explains.
"Well thank you for the help I didn't know about any of that stuff." I thank the stern looking woman.
We leave the library and head back to the throne room to see my dad and new father in law chatting about something and some luggage packed up near the door I take to be the princesses. The castle is a long way away from the academy as the city is huge. So it's more convenient for the princess to just move in with us and go to school. Besides we now have a nice new villa and mom is going to kill dad so it won't be crowded at all.
The man in question shivers involuntarily before looking around and seeing my smug face. I mouth the word Mom. He shivers again before getting an evil look.
"Say Ryan why don't you introduce your companion to your new little wife?" he says with an evil chuckle.
Bastard dragged me under the bus too.
