Hearing the sound of her door opening, Chaerin closed her laptop, and knowing that it was Kang Minseok, she stood up from the chair. As the chair slid back, she left the laptop on the dining table and walked towards the living room.
Seeing Kang Minseok stand before her, she said, "You were late."
With that, she walked over to the couch and sat down on it. Behind Kang Minseok, she noticed the four men who were standing. All of them were staring at her, and she was able to catch a hint of nervousness in one of their eyes.
"Yes, CEO Jung, things took much more time than I had originally expected," he answered, "Anyway, these are the four candidates."
Removing her gaze off the men, she looked at Kang Minseok and, as the aloofness showed upon her features, questioned, "Do they meet all the conditions?"
"More or less, they do," Minseok answered, "CEO Jung, you know how reliable I can be. These are all fine young men, desired by many. They are the most valuable gems, the brightest stars, and—"
"Stop with that nonsense, and give a brief introduction," Chaerin spoke out.
Maintaining the usual cheerful smile on his face, Minseok spoke out, "Right! I will be doing that, CEO Jung."
At that, Minseok moved towards the first man standing to his right and pulled him to the front. Chaerin's line of sight fell on the man, and pursing her lips into a thin line, she scanned the man from top to bottom.
The boy appeared quite youthful and was certainly younger than her. There was a certain hint of innocence in his eyes, and it was evident that he was anxious. Chaerin's eyes fell on how he fidgeted with his fingers and trembled slightly.
Before Kang Minseok was able to speak out, Chaerin stared at him, and sternly staring at him, she questioned, "How old is he?"
The glare Chaerin shot him was obvious to Minseok, and a chill went down his back at that. Even the flawless smile on his face faltered slightly at the sight of that.
"Well, he will be eighteen soon," he answered, looking the other way, not wanting to meet Chaerin's gaze.
Standing up from the couch, Chaerin clenched her hand into a tight fist, and gritting her teeth, she stared at him with disbelief in her eyes.
"You brought a minor, Kang Minseok? Is that what you meant by you are reliable? Should I beat you up now?" she asked— the rage replacing the nonchalance on her face.
Taking a deep breath, Minseok spoke out, "There are only a few months since he became an adult, and since he is an innocent lamb, I thought he might appeal to you. I exactly don't know your type, CEO Jung, but don't you think that someone like him will look cute beside you?"
"Kang Minseok, are you that eager to get your salary deducted for six months?" she raised one of her eyebrows.
"I will just take him away, CEO Jung. I apologise. This was all my fault."
With those words, Minseok grabbed on to the boy's hand, who remained silent the entire time, and pulled him back. The relief that crossed over the boy's face did not miss Chaerin's eyes.
When it came to the next one, he stepped forward before Minseok was to do it, and instantly, got down to his knees. At his actions, Chaerin became impassive again and lowered her line of sight.
Extending his hand towards her, he grabbed on to her hand and brought it closer to his face. Wearing a flirtatious smile on his face, he stared at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
The buttons of his jacket were undone, and the transparent t-shirt under it revealed his chest. His tight leather pants complemented him well and showed off his legs well. He had his silver hair messily styled, and multiple earrings dangled off of both of his ears.
"Miss, I am Hyunjin," he introduced, "It is quite pleasant to meet such a beautiful woman."
Realizing that he was about to place a kiss on the back of her hand, Chaerin pulled her hand back before that was able to happen, and turning away from him, she faced Minseok.
"Chairman Jung will get a heart attack the moment he sees him; he is too flashy," she expressed.
Shifting her gaze, she looked at the man behind him. Both of them were staring at her— her eyes unwavering— and had a friendly expression on their faces, nothing excessive.
As she approached the third man, Hyunjin stood up, and disappointment was visible on his face while he looked at her back.
The man before her was quite burly. With a height over six foot and muscular build, Chaerin instantly found herself looking away from him. She had nothing against how he looked; it was merely that she preferred with slightly smaller stature.
That's when her eyes fell on him— the man that stood beside the muscular man— and she found her breath being taken away in that moment.
"Him. I choose him to be my lover," Jung Chaerin said, pointing at one particular man.
The man had his caramel coloured hair styled neatly and was dressed casually. His stature was longer than that of an average man. Nonetheless, that added on to his attractive features.
The gentle smile on his face, coupled with his black eyes, had the ability to capture the attention of others and draw them in.
His white shirt displayed his collarbones slightly, giving him a seductive appearance. Added in the elegant aura around him, he truly appeared to be a man wanted by many.
In all aspects, Jung Chaerin found him to be the ideal man, and her gaze on him was determined as if she had firmly decided on him.
At her words, the man gave no response and simply curved the corner of his lips further. Dimples showed on his cheeks slightly.
Before she could let herself be distracted more, she turned back to face Kang Minseok and said, "It's final. He looks perfect. Prepare all the papers."
Nervousness was shown on his face while he started, "About that, CEO Jung, can't you choose someone else?"
Raising one of her eyebrows, she questioned, "Why? Is there a problem with it?"
"Well, there isn't exactly a problem, but, nevermind. It's not a big deal," he vocalised, "I will be going and preparing everything if you have finalised everything."
