Chapter 6 - The perfect one [3]

Glancing at her watch, Chaerin said, "About Seyoon, bring him to my place after an hour, and get him some appropriate clothing."

While both of them walked through the hallway inside Chaerin's Enterprise, Chaerin's eyes skimmed through the document while Kang Minseok followed after her.

"Alright," Minseok spoke out, "Chairman Jung had been calling me from the morning to ask me for the details."

"Did you run a proper background check on him?" Chaerin questioned.

"Since the time period was short, I was not able to gather much information on him, and getting information on him appears to be quite complicated. I am afraid Seyoon is not a simple person," Minseok stated.

"His private life doesn't concern me as long as it doesn't bring me any trouble. Make sure to go through the contract again, and try to look for loopholes. We can't leave those there," Chaerin sternly spoke out.

Nodding his head, Minseok answered, "Don't worry, CEO Jung. I will be handling this properly as I have always done it."

As she walked down the stairs, Chaerin was dressed in a black dress that accentuated her good looks further and carried herself with elegance. The cold and unapproachable aura around her remained while her eyes fell on Ryu Seyoon.

Standing before her was the twenty seven year old man. Dressed in a black suit, he had boutonniere made from red rose mainly inside his pocket. At the sight of her, his lips were curved upwards to form a guileless smile.

While he walked towards her gracefully, she realized how much he suited the suit. Yesterday, he appeared innocent and gentle in his clothing, but now in his garments for today, he gave off a different impression. It felt more or less domineering to others.

Nonetheless, it was as seductive as the last time— like a red rose that made others desire for it. Having such thoughts in her mind caused a slight frown to appear on Chaerin's forehead.

Jung Chaerin did not take herself to be someone who is easily swayed by good looks, but when faced with Seyoon, she found herself being drawn in. It had to do with something more than his appearance; maybe because of how he gazes at her or that smile at her.

As she was about to take the last step, Seyoon grabbed on to her hand gently and supported her. Such a gesture was not something Chaerin was used to, and it had been a long time she had close contact with a male— other than Kang Minseok.

Raising her hand, Seyoon parted his lips slightly and placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand. His move caused a strange sensation to go through her body.

"You look ethereal," he commented, "Master."

Tilting his head upward, he gazed at her, and that caught Chaerin off guard. The current him appeared to be quite sensual to her. However, that was not what surprised Chaerin; she was shocked that she knew how to feel that way about men.

Chaerin knew that she was attracted towards the men; there was not any doubt about it. Nonetheless, being in this business for a long time, she learned to bury those feelings within her in order to be successful.

However, with only a glance from him, those desire within Chaerin stirred up.

Chaerin coughed in order to compose herself and to drive away all of the unnecessary thoughts from her mind.

"Call me by my name," she said, "Or else it will be suspicious."

"Yes, Jung Chaerin-ssi," he spoke out, "You have a beautiful name; I like how it rolls off of my tongue."

Finding it hard to maintain the mask of nonchalance upon her face, she pulled her hand away from him, and not wanting for him to see her face— for she was unsure of what expression she was wearing— she walked forward.

Seeing Chaerin's back caused a chuckle to escape from his mouth as Ryu Seyoon mumbled, "Cute."

The way she carried herself caught Ryu Seyoon's interest, and although she had not shown him much emotions, he desired to uncover more sides of her. As his curiosity was piqued, he followed after the lady.

Seeing the number of news reporter that was in front of the mansion did not manage to bother Chaerin. More than helping people, this was for the sake of publicity— not that Chaerin criticised those people.

The door beside her was pulled open by Ryu Seyoon, and wearing a smile on his face, he held out his hand to her.

After staring at his hand for a second, Chaerin placed her laptop on the car's seat, and according his hand, she stepped out of the car. Seyoon closed the door behind her.

Her eyes fell on the grand mansion before her. An auction will be held inside the mansion in order to gather money for the charity, and quite a number of influential people will be attending.

Pursing her lips into a thin line, she turned her head to face Seyoon. Instead of appearing to be intimidated or amazed, he had a composed expression on his face with that usual smile of his.

Chaerin would have understood if either of those expression was on his face. Nonetheless, it was better that way. She will be able to avoid negative gossips from the press. Even if the press did not discuss on her much, at times, they managed to release some annoying news on her.

"Don't answer unless you're specifically asked, and do not wander off. This is an important event, and I don't want you to embarrass me. Keep that in mind," Chaerin sternly stated.

"Don't worry, Jung Chaerin-ssi, I will not be disappointing you," he confidently said.

With that, both of them started to walk towards the building. Taking in how attractive and compatible both of them look, some of the photographers could not help but take couple of pictures of them. It was understandable for a beauty couple to attract eyes.

Standing in front of her grandfather was something Chaerin found unnerving in that moment regardless of how composed she seemed on the outside.

A hint of sternness sat on her grandfather's face as he scrutinized Seyoon from top to bottom. Surprisingly, instead of appearing nervous due to that, Seyoon had a gentle smile on his face.

Bowing, Seyoon politely introduced himself: "Hello, you must be Chaerin-ssi's grandfather. I am Ryu Seyoon, Jung Jinyoung-ssi, the one who is currently dating her."

Jung Chaerin noticed how he ignored her words on speaking unless he was specifically questioned, but seeing how he did not create a mistake, she decided to look past it.

"So, you are the man Chaerin is dating. What is your age? What do you do?" Jinyoung questioned— his gaze not showing any signs of softening.

"I turned twenty seven this year," he answered, "Currently, I work as a bartender at my friend's place."

"A bartender?" Jinyoung questioned, raising one of his eyebrows and turning his gaze to Chaerin.

"You already met him, Chairman Jung. I will have to leave now; it would not be proper to create a scene at here," Chaerin said, ignoring his gaze.

"Jung Chaerin, you brat, what did you see in this bartender? This type of person will be cheating you out of your money. I thought you would be more careful! Are you a kid?" Jinyoung stated.

"Chairman Jung, you don't need to worry about that," she said, "I am capable of handling my matters on my own, and Seyoon is someone chosen by me with care."

"Y-You— fine, bring him over to the mansion for dinner on Saturday," he spoke out, "We will be discussing about the matters then."

"There is no need for that," Chaerin voiced out, "I have already introduced him to you as I have mentioned, and now, keep your side of the promise. Do not interfere with my work anymore, Chairman Jung."

"Jung Chaerin, do you want me to resort to other methods to bring you for dinner? They would not be as pleasant as this," Jung Jinyoung threatened.

A sigh left her mouth as she answered, "Just this one time."
