Chapter 8 - His annoying behavior [2]

The smell of the food reached into her nostrils as she stepped into the living room. Turning her head, she stared towards the kitchen and saw Ryu Seyoon serving pancakes on the table.

Noticing her presence, Ryu Seyoon raised his head, and looking at her, he flashed her a wide smile brogr proceeding with his work.

"You have breakfast on your own. I have work to get to," Chaerin spoke out, "I will send Kang Minseok later on to help you settle in."

Today, she had her schedule completely packed, and getting into office as early as possible would be best for her if she wanted to deal with everything efficiently.

With that, she did not bother to listen to Seyoon's reply, and while she turned her back to walk towards the door, Chaerin halted in her steps due to Seyoon standing before her.

The black apron— that Chaerin did not know she had— fitted Seyoon well, and with the sleeves of his shirt rolled up, he appeared to be quite an attractive sight.

"Will you be missing breakfast?" he questioned.

"I will be grabbing something on the way," she answered, "Now, move."

Clicking his tongue, he said, "That's not healthy. Have the breakfast before you leave. I woke up quite early to prepare this. Wouldn't it be too discourteous of you to do so after you ordered me to make breakfast?"

"I have some important matters to deal with. Store them somewhere. I will reheat and eat it later on if it bothers you that much," she stated, "Now, if you are done, move."

Grabbing on to her wrist, he vocalised, "As if I am doing that. They would not be half as delicious as now if you eat it after reheating, and your company would not be sinking if you are twenty minutes late."

"You—"

Extending his hand towards her, he placed his index finger on her lips in order to prevent her from talking further, and flashing her one of his innocent smiles, he stated, "Don't let my hard work go to waste, alright?

From next time onwards, I will be making breakfast earlier, so that you would not have to be late to work. Just bear with it this time around."

Staring at those eyes of his, she found herself unable to say 'no', and although it was just pancakes, Chaerin desired to have home cooked meals. Busy with her job, she rarely had those these days and to rely on takeout or instant food most of the times.

"You are swaying," he spoke out, "Now, don't waste too much time thinking, and have the pancakes. It's not too hard to do so. Moreover, with an empty stomach, you would not be that productive either."

A sigh escaped from Chaerin's mouth while she expressed, "Fine, this time around as well, only for the sake of the productivity. From next time onwards, don't prepare breakfast. It is a bother."

Pulling her hand away from him, she walked towards the breakfast table— somewhat disappointed at herself for being swayed that easily.

One more thing, she had learned about the boy was that he could be quite persuasive and forceful at times. For the sake of not wasting time further, she decided to go along with it.

"No, I will be making you breakfast regularly, so that my master can go to her work everyday with a full stomach," he stated, "I will just wake up a little earlier tomorrow."

Turning her head back, she glanced at the boy, and seeing the enthusiasm in his eyes, she did not want to see the sparkle disappear from it.

"Suit yourself, but don't let it affect my daily task," she replied— her tone being cold.

Walking over to the table, she pulled her chair and sat down on it as the male mumbled, "She is really cute. What do I do?"

Picking up her fork, Chaerin started to dig into the pancake and eat them. Even if she ate in a hurried manner, she maintained herself with grace.

"Due to lack of products, I was only able to make pancakes without syrup. Later on, I will go on a grocery store and get some food for you. You should have a full meal each time," he stated.

"If you require money, ask Kang Minseok," she said.

"Hmm," he replied, "What are your favourite food? Do you want me to prepare anything particularly for you during lunch and dinner?"

"I will not be having lunch, and as for dinner, cook whatever you want as long as it is edible," Chaerin said while she was almost finished with her pancakes.

"You don't have a favourite food or something you like to eat? You don't have to be shy. I can cook a variety of food," he said.

"No," she answered.

"You are fifteen minutes late," Kang Minseok commented.

Jung Chaerin stepped into the elevator with Minseok followed her in. As the door before her slid close, Minseok's eyes held curiosity and interest in them while they gazed upon the female. The corner of his lips were curved upwards like usual.

"Ryu Seyoon is quite irritating," she spoke out, "he forced me into having breakfast. Not only that, he talks way too much. How did you find someone as troublesome as him?"

"Is that so? If it was not for his mysterious and suspicious background, I found him to be quite befitting. He could easily be considered a top elite by how he carries himself alone."

Recalling how he acted at the event yesterday, she said, "He is alright at that aspect, but other than that, he is quite a bug."

"It's just the first day; you might grow to love him later on," Kang Minseok stated, "Even if I go for girls, I find him to be quite attractive, and it is natural for him to be irresistible to you.

Don't hold back on your desires and jump on him whenever you feel like it. After all, he belongs to you right now."

"If you are that interested, I don't mind giving him over to you, so that you are able to jump on him, Kang Minseok," she stated.

Seeing how she had mentioned his name, Minseok could see that she was angered by his statement and, wanting to change the topic, questioned, "Will you be doing the inspection of the new materials today?"
