Her mythical eyes turned freezing cold, flashling in them was a murderous glint that people failed to notice. Her aura was turning deadly with her usual gentleness nowhere to be found. ' Forgiveness must be earned ; it cannot be granted. And you'll have to keep yearning for your crimes until you earn forgiveness from every last one of them. '
" So Lia, what do we about the triplets and the Shadow Army?? We've tried everything unfortunately, nothing works on them?? " Following Lia's line of sight, Soham asked as he looked outside and then at his watch. It was close to dawn and dragging them any further would turn out to be harmful for them.
" The Shadow Army doesn't pose us any threat. They're harmless and extremely mistreated. As for the triplets, it's their choice as to what they want to do, Brother Soham and no one can choose it for them. Not even us. All we have to do is act according to their choice and deliver them the consequences of those choices. " Lia said helplessly. It was obvious as what the triplets will choose not matter how many opportunities come their way.
" Then how do we tackle the triplets?? Because they are vampires by nature which makes them both physically and magically beyond our scope of control. "
" Really!! " Lia pretended to surprised much to everyone's annoyance.
" We're serious mommy!! Those triplets are extremely fast. I had to constantly keep manipulating time in order keep up with them."
Hearing the little boy, Lia teared her gaze away from the triplets and looked at her genuinely worried son.
No just Nakash, having tasted defeat and at the hands of the triplets everyone looked grim at the every thought of having to duel with them. There was a serious lack of confidence when it came down to the power of the triplets.
They looked at Lia with puppy dog eyes, knowing today was her generosity day.
Having seen through them Lia didn't want to be a spoil sport however, there are somethings that a person must find on their own.
" The cause of their uniqueness is their greatest weakness. If you can remember this, I believe you'll be able sort out your way. "
What Lia said caused anything but excitement.
" Sister Lia, we want answers, not puzzles. " commented an impatient Kaya.
" I understand your frustration, Kaya. But, I'm afraid this all the help I can give you all. Beyond this you all will have to figure things out yourselves. " The firmness of Lia's words left no room for argument.
" I agree with Lia!! Your destiny cannot be spoon fed to you. " Father Abraham commented gently. " And look at the bright side, thanks to Lia you now have some grounds to work on, don't you?? Have faith in yourself children, you all have earned this opportunity."
The wise elder not only to silenced their negativity but, also managed to boost their morale during the critical hour while bringing them all to the end of their line.
" So does that mean this is it?? " Thrown at the face of her worst nightmare, Surbhi's anxiety and fear wasn't unfounded. It was all thanks to Lia's comeback and proof of the fact that she was capable of cutting through the triplets that help her in keeping herself together. If not, then even she didn't knew what she would've done.
Fear and tension was evident in Surbhi's features, drowning Soham in a bottomless guilt where her very presence was becoming extremely suffocating for him.
" Lia, I suggest you guys better move on. You only have two and a half hours to dawn and we have no idea how they'll react under sunlight. So, let's not push our luck that far. Lia, how do you intend to approach the triplets?? " Brother Fernandez urged them. He was seriously worried as to how long Soham and Kaya will be able to go on along with the fact that Lia was still on recovery stage. The Shadow monsters have drained them to a considerable extent.
" Death is not a slave and there's no bigger fool than those who thinks otherwise. Death will come when it wants to come, until then we must keep our guests entertained. You can fatally injured them but, make sure you don't actually kill them. "
Coming from Lia, those words meant more than what meets the eye. Therefore, even though they were curious, they never explicitly asked anything. That was the level of trust and faith Lia earned from over the years while living in that painfully void reality.
It was the fruit of her miseries and struggles.
" Come on hurry up everyone!!! Let's get going already.." yelped Nakash, who was almost at the front gate with Saaransh tagging along.
" NO YOU DON'T!! " Kaya exclaimed. Two tiny tornetos immediately wrapped themselves around the boys, bringing them back into the hall and before Lia without giving them a chance to protest.
" Auntie Kaya, what's the big idea?? Why did you dragged us back in?? " Saaransh was quick to complain.
Kaya didn't answer, instead both she and Soham gave Lia a meaningful look which the kids quickly caught wind off.
Suspicious, Nakash and Saaransh signaled Nitiya.
Behind them even Nani and Father also shared the same thought.
It came to them as an utter surprise when Nitiya gave them a troubled look. ' I'm sorry guys, I don't know what's going on. Mommy is purposely blocking me. There's something that she doesn't want us to know just yet. '
" Nitiya is right!! There's a lot that you don't know yet and I don't want to implant the wrong idea in you. " Lia said as she gently crouched down before the children.
" Does that mean we aren't allowed to fight this around, mommy?? " Nakash concluded flatly. He was visibly downhearted.
It pained Lia as well still, she refused to budge. The children's safety was her atmost priority and she would cross every length there is to ensure that.
" But why, Auntie?? Do you not trust us?? " Grumbled at very disappointed Saaransh.
" I trust you all more than myself, Saaransh and that's exactly why I need you all on the backstage rather than on the frontline. " Lia sincerely respected the children's courage and efforts, therefore she had to come up with something that would not offend them in one hand and convince them on the other.
" The triplets are famous for their foul play. That's why I need someone to defend the mansion and protect Father, Nani, Brother Fernandez and your mom. With you three on the job, we'll have a much needed peace of mind and focus on the triplets. We *ARE * running out of time, dear. "
